A convenient excuse to close early? It's a shame, because hospitality and transparency are just as important as the food. In the future, don't confirm anything for 9:30 PM if you can't manage it… 5 tourists visiting Lyon; thankfully there are plenty of other nice places in Lyon!

04/07/2026: We had lunch today at 12:30 pm in this traditional Lyonnais restaurant, and what a wonderful discovery! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional kindness and warmth. The staff is incredibly attentive, the owners are equally welcoming, and the entire team, from the cooks to the chef, is passionate and dedicated to their customers. The food is simply outstanding. Generous portions, perfectly prepared, with authentic flavors that truly surprised us. Each dish is a real treat and demonstrates genuine expertise. The service is impeccable: quick, attentive, friendly, and highly professional. Frankly, it's flawless! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would without hesitation. For us, it's a perfect 20/20! A huge thank you to the entire team for this delightful and convivial experience. We will gladly return and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to discover a true Lyonnais bouchon where you feel right at home.

09/06/2026: Located on Rue Mercière, a street known for its restaurants and lively atmosphere. Friendly welcome. We went for lunch. No wait to be seated, we opted for set menus. The risotto was good, but the quenelle was burnt and the sauce was tasteless (butter and oil). As for the pasta and salmon dish, the pasta lacked flavor. Good dessert. Otherwise, a pleasant experience. I recommend it depending on the dishes chosen.

26/07/2026: A proper old school Lyonaisse Bouchon. No outside seating, not a tourist trap, the menu says if you’re in a hurry you’re in the wrong place. Family place with old photos on the wall - a small menu of classic local dishes - some strong dishes of tripe and pigs feet for the brave. Loved it here.

10/06/2026: This is the kind of place you're happy to have discovered and naturally want to return to. We've been several times, both as a couple (my husband) and with my daughter. The food is excellent, generous, and delicious, in a bistronomic style that we particularly appreciate. But what really makes the difference for us is the welcome and the atmosphere. You feel expected, valued, and simply comfortable. The team is genuinely happy to welcome its customers, and this immediately creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to Fabrice and the whole team for these consistently enjoyable moments.

27/07/2026: La Chimère isn't just your average Lyonnais bistro; it's a bistro with a soul. From the moment you step inside, the decor evokes a real puppet theater, full of charm and authenticity, immediately setting the tone. On the plate, everything comes together for an excellent Lyonnais dinner: perfectly executed eggs meurette, delicious ravioli, and a decadent chocolate fondant. Generous, indulgent dishes, prepared with care. Special mention goes to the service, as warm as it is professional, and to the soundtrack that accompanies the meal. Between "Le Clan des Siciliens," "Les Tontons Flingueurs," "Le Professionnel," and a touch of Édith Piaf to end the evening, you almost feel like you're dining in the heart of an old French film. A place where you come not only to eat well, but also to experience a truly unique atmosphere.

31/07/2026: I'm giving it 3 stars for the quality of the food and the location. There were four of us on the terrace. The setting is superb, but a table for two was right next to ours, leaving little privacy for the couple dining there. It would be nice to leave a bit more space between the tables. As for the food, the frogs' legs were delicious (we would have liked slightly more generous portions), the sea bream was cooked perfectly, and the pizza was good. However, my partner had ordered the pizza + dessert set menu for €28, while the à la carte menu is €31. But when it arrived, we received a tiny pizza the size of a dessert plate! A complete disappointment. To our surprise, the waitress replied that it was clearly stated that the pizza on the set menu was 28cm. That was true; we hadn't noticed. However, she could have pointed it out to us when we ordered, rather than mentioning it in a tone that implied "you need to be able to read." Needless to say, we won't be going back, as we really feel like we've been ripped off.

17/07/2026: 2nd visit. we visited the place was also not a success. (1st visit was mostly closed) The plan was 2nd visit to eat a little bit of everything from different stalls - but started and ended at Pupier House where we got 6 pieces. shrimp for 20€ with 2 small glasses of white wine for 20€. The price was as it was. But the service was bad and rude, that we chose the place from. The toilets looked unhygienic.

16/07/2026: Based on reviews and the name, I had a rather grand impression of the market halls, imagining them to be a rather ordinary place with stalls offering virtually the same thing, the only exception being the Italian, Spanish, and Armenian stalls, if I remember correctly. And I bought a rosette sausage, but I was very disappointed with the quality.

Exceptional products, a breathtaking view. One small drawback: if you only order one dish à la carte, the portion size is similar to the set menu (the portion size should be increased for à la carte orders). But otherwise, thank you for this experience!!!! And see you very soon! PS: The restaurant's location should be more clearly indicated. From Alek (the one with allergies 😝)

07/08/2026: A truly wonderful experience at Prairial. The dishes were all excellent, creative, and perfectly executed, with warm and attentive service. We might have appreciated an additional meat dish on the menu, but that's a minor point. On the other hand, the wine pairings didn't quite live up to our expectations and didn't provide the expected added value. Despite this, the experience remains of high quality and well worth discovering.
