25/11/2024: Well, I won't talk about the club because I couldn't even get in there. What I wanted to talk about was the two bouncers at the entrance who turned me away without giving me the slightest reason and in a rather rude manner, one SUNDAY evening at 11:30 p.m. I just wanted to have a quick beer after working all day, isn't that possible? Probably they didn't let them in because, not long before, I was talking a little loudly on the phone with another Italian friend of mine? I don't know, but after this scene, I think I'll avoid coming back here. That's great, see you ever again.

10/11/2024: Always a good atmosphere at Loupika, a cocooning, caring place. We can discover new DJs who are starting out, it’s really great that they give everyone the chance to perform. Favorite place in Lyon 🫶🏻

02/08/2024: Chez Riz is my go-to for authentic Sichuan cuisine! Their dishes are incredibly flavorful and perfectly spiced.

28/07/2024: Ordering a pork dish and steamed appetizers, the quantity/price ratio is simply shameful. 17€ for a half slice, and 14€ for a few bites which don't even represent a real starter. Could it be because we ordered takeout? Either way, it's a real disappointment.

14/08/2024: Bar-style or cork-style coffee at lunchtime. Workers' marker. Lively atmosphere. (but noisy). Very friendly team and always accommodating. Flea market style decor. Good value for money cuisine. Varied dish of the day. Smiling service.

13/09/2024: Rough service and major supply issue - unclear if this was a one-time bad day or if perennial issue. --- Visiting the Halles on a Sunday and wanted to have a simple, nice sit-down lunch with a friend outside. We were warned before sitting that there were a few menu items that were 'out' for the day, but did quite realize how many items were unavailable. We each tried to find three or four of the different plates from the menu that seemed most interesting, but once again we noticed they were literally all out. From there we asked instead just to have drinks, but we were told we would have to leave our table and pushed awkwardly to the outside. Once pushed to the outside, we were unable to get any service beside the initial drink we ordered at the table. While food looked good and drinks were fine, it was disappointing to be given poor service AFTER we tried our best to order several different food things. I understand supply issues happen. But my unsolicited recommendation to the restaurant is that rather than put up all the things you do not have on a blackboard away from the table, perhaps just create a new menu for the day that is more limited and clear.

11/09/2024: The food was just ok, but low price of the dish of the day, and the place itself made the whole experience great.

07/07/2025: A big thank you to Loïse for her exceptional service at Café de la République. She was smiling, attentive, and very professional. It's rare to come across such a warm and efficient waitress. We will be happy to come back.

02/07/2025: I ordered a virgin strawberry mojito with no added sugar. The waitress explained to me that they didn't add any sugar (even though cane sugar was listed in the ingredients). She explained that the "strawberry cream" used for the cocktail was already very sweet (even though it was supposed to be puree) and that's why they didn't add any sugar. The result: half a centimeter of refined sugar deposits at the bottom of my glass and a cocktail that was way too sweet... I must have run into a lazy waitress who didn't want to indicate the "sugar-free" option.

01/09/2024: great spot to relax in the evening with friends over a drink, the cocktails are super good and fresh (recommendation: the Apple X is excellent), and the dishes are just as good, I recommend the chicken tenders, very crispy! special mention also to the super friendly waitress JADE, smiling and who always asks if everything is going well during the meal haha

30/08/2024: Très bon restaurant pour le midi entres collègues. Le service est très rapide (-15min) Le plat sont copieux et très bon. Le prix est raisonnable. Le personnel est très accueillant, souriant et toujours à votre écoute.

30/09/2024: This is the second time I come to this cafe. The first time I had a bad experience so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We arrived 40min before closing and sat at one of the tables. The main female waiter seemed super busy so we politely waited to be served. Nothing happened for 10min. I called the second waiter to tell her that we wanted to order and she said "ok", but no one came to our table. 10min passed and I decided to stand up to go to the comptoir to place my order. The woman at the bar told me they were closing (it was 20min before closing) and she wouldn't serve us. I had to tell her that we had been waiting for 20min and she said that she'd made an exception and -annoyed- she asked me what we wanted (she has the right to be annoyed, but HEY we've also been waiting for a while now!). I ordered 2 teas but she refused to serve us the tiramisu we wanted to try. We drank our teas and as people started to leave the waitress that I called to order, came and told us the museum was closing. We were almost done with the teas so we sped up a little. Later a man came and told us "The museum has been closed for 10 minutes already, we are close now" in an unpleasant tone. I said thank you, finished our teas, and left. My advice: The service industry is under tons of recruiting stress which is clearly the cause of their current service; so come to the garden with your snacks (the food is ok but the service makes you feel like you're an inconvenience) to enjoy the garden at your own peace. No need to spend energy ordering at the cafe for now.

12/09/2024: Great evening in this restaurant. Great discovery. Local cuisine, regional products. Beautiful dishes, a nice wine, a cork atmosphere as we were looking for in Lyon. Served by a very friendly person. Thank you for this exotic interlude. We note the address for a next stop in the city of lights.

10/09/2024: Everything was really perfect: - The cuisine: excellence in all the dishes consumed, we will thank the cooks Quentin and Gnafron -The atmosphere and mood of the place itself: Very typical of any Lyonnais cork you will tell me but there you go, there is no overrated or apparent lack. - Music: It may seem trivial but it is something essential in my eyes. Very typical 50s/60s max, very measured and appreciable sound level. - Qualitative and fast service: Each request is executed quickly and always with a smile. - Conventional price at all other restaurants in the area but no abuse especially for the quality of the experience.

07/09/2024: Arrivées sur les coups de 13.15 nous avons eu droit un service assez rapide. La serveuse est très efficace et motivée et encourage les équipes. Nous avons choisi le carpaccio et avons été extrêmement surprises que le chef découpe lui même le carpaccio. Celui-ci était très bon et suffisant en quantité. J’ai choisi le café gourmand et ma maman la mousse au chocolat et les desserts sont faits maison et ce fut un régal. Les parts du café sont généreuses: une part de tarte au citron, une mousse au chocolat, un tiramisu et une mini crème brûlée. Et pour une note plutôt raisonnable à moins de 50€
