15/06/2026: The true essence of a workers' cafeteria. Since I had to travel to another area, I left the city center early in the morning to arrive right at opening time. The woman in charge of pastries smiled and kindly explained everything from the restaurant's history and style to menu recommendations. I came here because I wanted to visit a place frequented only by real locals, without any foreigners. Since I live far away, I don't know when my next visit will be, but I will definitely plan a trip to Lyon just to come here. Every dish was straightforward yet truly delicious. The portions were very generous; it was difficult for two people to finish two appetizers and two main courses so early in the morning, but they were so good that we somehow managed to eat it all. Even then, what other people ordered looked incredibly appetizing. It seemed like those were the main dishes of the day. It seemed like there weren't many lunch options available at such an early hour, but I have absolutely no complaints. The mini baba and digestifs made for a perfect finish. I hope they stay in business for a long time. It's the best! 😍

27/08/2026: On our last day of vacation, we stopped here almost by chance and were very satisfied. Simple, clean, and tidy surroundings with very friendly staff who provided prompt and attentive service. The dishes and desserts were excellent. Kudos to the chef, who made the dishes not only delicious but also visually pleasing. Although not close to the tourist area, it's worth stopping by for a good dinner. Parking is easy to find in the evenings, after 7:00 PM.

16/05/2026: What a gem! We arrived late afternoon on a very busy Saturday and we were concerned we wouldn't find a place without a reservation. Thankfully, we came across this place and so glad we did. The food was so good and the place was so adorable! It was definitely a local vibe, not touristy or in a touristy area. We would definitely recommend this place!!

07/09/2026: For a supposedly renowned Lyonnais bistro, I have to complain. The staff is unfriendly, and the kir I ordered as an aperitif wasn't very good (the wine was past its prime). The meal itself was acceptable. As for the wine, they advertise a cellar with many vintages, but if you want a rosé, there's no choice at all.

Plus, they offer lactose-free and gluten-free options for those with intolerances, which is a real bonus! Everything was perfect; we'll be back!

03/09/2026: We ordered the traditional mâchon, for two. It's far too much if you don't have American-sized appetites. You either waste food or you burst. We chose not to waste anything, and the appetizers and the main course were delicious. But everything went downhill with the small Saint-Marcellin dish. It was a mistake in the menu's design. At this point, nothing else worked, and it was inappropriate. This cheese is very flavorful and would have been excellent under different circumstances. Then came dessert… a final disaster, and it's a real shame. The floating island is actually made of whipped egg whites in a custard. It's enormous, tasteless, and hides the best part inside: the pralines. The honey madeleine, on the other hand, is wonderful. It alone would have been enough to finish the meal. In short, order à la carte: you'll enjoy the experience much more.
