01/06/2026: ⭐ Overall rating: 7.5/10 A great find! This African restaurant in Lyon was a wonderful discovery. I had a lovely time and, most importantly, a delicious meal. The portions were generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Special mention goes to the chicken: perfectly cooked, tender, juicy, and, most importantly, not dry, which is often a weak point in this type of dish. The side dishes were also excellent, with well-balanced flavors. A minor drawback was the sweet potato fries, which were unavailable during my visit. Apparently, they had been out of stock for several days. This is a bit of a shame, as they are often a popular side dish, and sweet potatoes are generally quite easy to find. As for the ambiance, the terrace is perfect for enjoying the nice weather, which is very pleasant. However, it has limited seating and opens directly onto the street. Inside, the space is adequate, but it was quite warm during my visit, with noticeable cooking smells. Air conditioning or better ventilation would significantly improve customer comfort. The service also deserves a mention. The woman single-handedly manages the kitchen, reception, service, and payments. Despite this heavy workload, she remains cheerful and does her best to satisfy customers. This can sometimes lead to a slight wait, but it's understandable. My ratings: * Reception: 8/10 * Food: 8/10 * Value for money: 8/10 * Cleanliness: 7/10 * Atmosphere and comfort: 7/10 In short, this is a place worth discovering for the quality of its cuisine and its authentic flavors. 30/05/2026: We just left this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was quick. For dessert, we had degué… It was also very good! Honestly, a great place, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Lyon. Thank you for everything! ☺️🙏

19/05/2026: Fantastic concept, really excellent: the venue, the atmosphere, and the value for money compared to other exceptional concerts. The live interview conducted on-site with headphones was a great idea. I'd been wanting to come for a long time and I wasn't disappointed.

28/04/2026: The reservation text message sets the tone 😳 Personally, I go to restaurants to relax, not to put pressure on myself as soon as the reservation is confirmed. So I preferred to cancel my reservation and not try this restaurant.

20/04/2026: Sexually harassed by the cook. Not only is it overpriced and average at best, but as we left the restaurant the greasy cook felt the urge to shout sexually explicit nonsense at the women in our group, while the rest of the male staff (all of them smoking) did absolutely nothing. STAY AWAY

20/04/2026: We were drawn in by the quaint atmosphere and the friendly staff. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food as highly; it was truly subpar. Not recommended.

03/02/2026: It all started with a birthday gift from the Confluence shopping center. I decided to try the Vapiano restaurant. What a treat! I received a very warm welcome (from the blue-eyed waiter); He didn't hesitate to suggest a different dish than the one I had chosen—kudos for his professionalism! The restaurant's atmosphere is superb, with great background music. I really want to thank him for his kind gesture at the end of my meal, which made the experience truly special. I highly recommend it!

01/02/2026: An extremely disappointing experience on every level. The food arrived barely lukewarm: undercooked pasta, bland, tasteless pizzas. There was no skill in the kitchen, and no enjoyment in eating. The service was incomprehensibly slow, especially since the restaurant requires ordering via QR code and payment before being served, ostensibly to save time. Given the poor quality of the meal, one wonders if this system isn't simply a way to avoid complaints or prevent customers from leaving without paying. Drinks are advertised as available on the app, but then suddenly become unavailable once the order is placed. For children, the syrup cups were sticky and served without any care. As for family-friendly options, it was a complete failure: all the tables were high, but the high chairs weren't the right height, making the meal uncomfortable and unsafe. And only three high chairs for a full restaurant speaks volumes about the consideration given to families. The desserts are just like everything else: tasteless, poorly executed, and underwhelming. To top it all off, the value for money is simply shameful considering the service offered. This establishment is poorly managed and disorganized, with no regard for quality or customer comfort. It's an address that charges a premium for a mediocre experience and is clearly not worth the trip.

The restaurant is magnificent, perfectly maintained, with a beautiful view of the outdoor pool, making the experience even more enjoyable. As for the meal, it was excellent: High-quality ingredients, beautifully presented on plates that were as delicious as they were attractive. Thank you for your hospitality.

02/05/2026: Excellent food, fast and efficient service. We had a reservation. There were five of us and we ordered: Lyonnaise salad, warm goat cheese salad, andouillette sausage, quenelle, beef bourguignon, hamburger, pistachio sausage, chocolate mousse, lemon meringue pie, praline tart, and chocolate banana tart. EVERYTHING was delicious.

24/05/2026: If you're not a regular, steer clear. At noon, with the terrace three-quarters empty, we were seated inside because the owner told us the terrace was "reserved" for regulars. What a shame, we could have become regulars! The food is good, homemade, and the waitresses are friendly... The atmosphere inside is noisy... Our reservation was refused by phone that same morning.

15/05/2026: I think the picture speaks for itself... Disastrous service, a long wait just to unfold the shade canopy and clear our table. They didn't ask us once if we were satisfied. At the end of the meal, I pointed out to the manager the price of this soulless dish (a 6-year-old could have made it), sold for €15! The man across from me replied, "The prices are clearly displayed!" Excuse me, sir! Can a salad have any character at that price, seriously! I told him I was shocked, and he replied with an arrogant and disdainful air, "It only shocks you, and it'll stay that way!" I work in sales; when a customer isn't satisfied, we try to find some compensation. This man clearly doesn't understand that concept. Please like my review to see if it really only shocks me!!

06/04/2026: A truly warm welcome, just like being at home. Enjoyed the terrace on an April evening. The waitress was friendly and professional. Highly recommended. Thanks also to the nephew for the warm welcome at the bar.

04/04/2026: A fantastic find! We stumbled upon this place by chance and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent (the sausage and mashed potatoes were delicious), and they had a children's menu with fresh, high-quality ingredients (homemade fries). Not to mention the perfect service and welcome. We'll be back.

05/06/2026: Not cheap, but the French toast was so good—thick slices inside and crispy outside. The service and welcome were excellent. The terrace was pleasantly furnished, cool and shaded in the morning, with a feel-good playlist playing on the outdoor speakers.

17/01/2026: We arrived as a couple, and the waiter just looked at us without saying a word. Neither did we 😂 After ten seconds, I finally blurted out, "Can we eat?" He pointed to a table. We sat down, but the table was sticky. I gestured to him to ask if we could move, but no luck. So we took another table next door… also sticky. Anyway, I ordered. I chose a pig's stomach soup. Five minutes later, he brought me a large bowl of tripe soup, explaining that they were out of stomach. The soup was very good, piping hot, and very spicy—perfect for a 2°C (36°F) day. In short: terrible service, good food but ridiculously expensive, with a simple bowl of rice costing €4.

The Peking duck and stir-fried noodles are definitely worth trying 😋. Fast service, discreet and efficient staff 👍. 30/01/2026: A string of mediocrities. Table in a draft. Disorganized service. Amuse-bouche served before the ordered bottle of champagne. Presentation of the wrong bottle of wine, already opened! Presentation of the digestif trolley during the cheese course. Hot dish served cold. Manager nowhere to be seen. When it came time to pay the bill of over €1000, not a word of apology or a gesture of goodwill. In short, unworthy of their reputation. The service is more professional in some of the smaller restaurants in the area. Avoid at all costs!
