24/09/2026: A short weekend in Le Creusot. We found this little gem. A lovely, very friendly couple. Their menu is light and inexpensive. We thoroughly enjoyed a burger and a croque monsieur. Thank you for introducing me to the pepper drops. We had a wonderful evening. If we're ever back in your area, we'll definitely return. Hugs from the Ardèche region. I highly recommend it.

08/08/2026: I love it! I've been there several times with my family. We enjoy it every time. The food is simple and made with love, using good ingredients. Sometimes we also get takeout, which is very convenient too. The atmosphere is very friendly, and we receive a very warm welcome from the owners, who work together as a couple. 😍

03/10/2026: Top-notch restaurant. We went as a group of 10, then as a couple. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the flavor was spot on. A couple of minor complaints about the dessert on the €19.95 set menu: it was good but very light (3 small sweet bites), and the side dish with the ham hock was also a bit light (just potatoes). A little salad or something else would have been a nice addition. But honestly, it was very good. Impeccable service. A wonderful atmosphere in a stunning setting. We will definitely return. 13/09/2026: A truly beautiful cuisine… unfortunately marred by excessively slow service. We discovered La Table de Chaintré with high expectations, and from a culinary standpoint, they were more than met. The cuisine was of a very high standard, featuring beautiful ingredients, elegant presentation, and genuine technical mastery. The amuse-bouches immediately set the tone, and the entire menu was crafted with precision. Special mention must also go to the desserts and petits fours, which were very successful. The pigeon was cooked to perfection, but I was disappointed that the promised jus was practically nonexistent on the plate. With a dish like this, a rich, reduced jus would have truly added the indulgence and depth that I felt was lacking. However, the real downside of our experience was the length of the service: 3 hours and 30 minutes at the table, with approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes before our first course arrived. I certainly appreciate it when a fine-dining restaurant allows ample time between courses to truly enjoy the meal. But in my opinion, there's a difference between taking your time and waiting. Here, the pace has become far too slow. In this day and age, spending three and a half hours at the table for dinner seems hardly conceivable, unless you've chosen it and been informed beforehand. Unfortunately, this wait ultimately diminished the pleasure and appreciation of the cuisine, which is a real shame, as the work put into the dishes deserves to be enjoyed under better conditions. Nevertheless, I'm still giving it five stars for the quality of the food, the ingredients, and the work of the kitchen staff, hoping that better management of the dining room's pace will allow the experience to fully live up to the quality of the food. A truly excellent restaurant from a gastronomic point of view, but three and a half hours for a meal is far too long for us.

02/09/2026: What a gem. A very small restaurant next to hotel de ville in Tournus. Simple menu de jour, but delicious! We had the gazpacho and white fish for €20. A dream! Amazingly prepared, read hot served and very quick service. I added the tart tatin to it for €5 . Delicious!

12/09/2026: A very bad experience this evening. We had a reservation for 8 pm and, at 9 pm, we still hadn't received our food! We waited about 30 minutes just for our drinks, and then still no food served after an hour at the table… We can understand that it might be busy and there might be a bit of a wait, but this is clearly unacceptable. The least they could do is inform customers when there's such a long delay, especially when they've taken the trouble to make a reservation. And to top it all off, there were several errors on the menu. This unfortunately gives a real impression of disorganization and a lack of professionalism. An evening that was supposed to be a pleasant time with my sweetheart turned into a long wait and disappointment. We really expected better. What a shame.

25/06/2026: Super lovely hotel and restaurant. To go to the restaurant is highly recommended. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Also, would recommend to get the breakfast, which was very good with lots of variety. It is very difficult to find full breakfast restaurant opened in the morning, and the hotel breakfast is right on spot and right on time.

16/09/2026: The service was pleasant, the mussels were not just small, but very small, the scallops were delicious, the salad with goat cheese was just awful, I don’t recommend it, there was definitely too much mayonnaise, the steak was excellent and tasty.

Our first impression was a visit to the beautiful kitchen, followed by the understated yet truly delightful patio. We immediately felt the relaxation and tranquility, and of course, after all that, the superb meal with a surprise in between that I won't reveal. The staff was very attentive.
