03/09/2024: If you are looking for a wedding location that will make you feel like you live in your favorite romance novel: you found it. ♥️ Rénche & Geert made sure to help us as much as they could with the planning of our wedding weekend. A BBQ on the arrival day, a pizza party, the wedding day & a Farewell Brunch? No problem! You have so many different options and locations to choose from, I think you could fill a week full of events and could still find a new area on the stunning grounds of this chateau. ☀️ All of the providers we worked with were really, really professional and the food was delicious every single day. Rénche also offers to help with the wedding design & planning for a very fair fee & I would highly recommend to book this service to any couple. She knows this castle by heart and has a lot of experience with the providers so she can solve a lot of problems before they even occur. 🍀 We planned our wedding with around 80 people. If you choose a bigger group just be aware that you will need a small tent to add to the dining area so everyone can fit or you can just eat outside in front of the castle if the weather allows it (but don’t forget that this region is known for it’s weather changes so I would also recommend to always plan with a tent - worst case you can use it for some extra shade ☺️☝🏼). The rooms in the castle are well looked after and Rénche & Geert work very hard on renovating the castle more & more each year which is an impressive amount of work. The bathrooms are not in the rooms but they are super nicely organized so everyone can still have their privacy when taking a shower (but you might recommend your guests to bring a pyjama or a bathrobe 😂☝🏼). Anyways, long story short: we loved our wedding so, so much & we wouldn’t have wanted to celebrate it anywhere else. ♥️

19/09/2024: The wine list is incredible but true, no wines from producers, only wine from mediocre cooperative cellars, the waiters and waitresses are very stressed, I can't imagine the pressure they must have from their superiors, very disappointed.

19/08/2024: Brilliant service and wonderful food. Couldn’t praise it more. Staff very nice too and looked after us very well. We had 3 courses each. Sat outside in the cooling shade. Perfect!!

14/08/2024: Discovered this nice restaurant on the way back from France to Freiburg. Very nice courtyard with a great wall design, which serves as a stage background on Fridays for great singing and show performances. Real insider tip!!!!

06/08/2024: A particularly nice little restaurant. Louhans is typically the town that we pass through… So we stopped for lunch. A very short menu, which is an indicator with fresh products. A daily menu at €22 that I recommend. An extra smoothly service led by the chef’s wife. Elegantly presented dishes. A careful decoration.

15/09/2024: Restaurant à l’ancienne, cuisine maison, mais quelque faute professionnelle, par exemple : le cuisinier a oublié de retirer le cellophane autour de la ballottine, dans le menu enfant un sirop est compris mais a la fin il est payant sûrement par manque de connaissances de la carte de la serveuse.

17/09/2024: Les avis sont très bons. Le mien aussi! Menu du marché à 29 € excellent de l entrée au dessert. Celui à 42€ l est tt autant avec des mets plus recherchés donc un peu plus chers . Petits fours pour l apéro, petit avant dessert bien agréable et belle carte des vins. Si je devais mentionner un tt petit point négatif, le soufflet gd marnier qui était magnifique avec sa quenelle glacée mandarine mais sans gd parfun gd marnier.

02/09/2024: Repas et cadre juste parfait ! Un rapport qualite prix parfait. Nous nous sommes vraiment regalé du debut a la fin. Nous avons pu manger sur la terrasse qui est tres cosi. Les assiettes sont belles et bonnes... je conseille les yeux fermes ! A refaire pour gouter les autres plats ! Le service etait egalement tres bien.
