19/02/2026: For Valentine's Day, we went to Veulettes because we'd heard good things about it. I looked for a restaurant and booked "Les Frégates" based on the reviews. We didn't regret our choice, even though the sun wasn't shining outside. A very warm welcome, excellent food, and pleasant staff. Furthermore, the Valentine's Day menu wasn't listed for lunch, but it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Since we were the first to arrive, we were treated to it. The menu was more expensive but a real treat (a glass of champagne, foie gras with a very moist homemade gingerbread—even my husband, who doesn't usually like it, loved it—scallops with mushrooms and an excellent sauce, and to finish, a chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis). As our meal progressed, the restaurant filled up. Afterwards, we took a short, windy walk through Veulettes, which is well worth the detour. All this to say that we will definitely return and recommend it. Best wishes to you, and we look forward to seeing you again.

26/03/2026: Three hot chocolates and two waffles for €30. So I wanted the best, but the runny, industrial chocolate on the waffle was awful 😫. Phew, the whipped cream was good, at least it made up for it. I think that's a bit much, don't you think? 🤔

16/12/2024: Great place, very friendly and efficient welcome! In the kitchen, faultless from starter to dessert. Taste, classics and perfect execution. (Plates to share would be a plus) The only downside is the customers who leave the front door open. Hoping they don't do the same at home... A bellboy would be a plus. But thank you anyway, it was great!

27/03/2026: We had been coming regularly for years to eat mussels and fries. The food and service were average, but the setting and location of this restaurant were its main attractions. We went back recently. What a disappointment! The mussels were small and overcooked, and the fries were bland. We didn't order dessert for fear of being disappointed. A worrying sign. There were very few people there when we visited, whereas until now you had to book to be sure of getting a good table. We'll try one last time in a while. What a shame. It's time to turn things around.

24/12/2025: I usually help out by taking the time to leave reviews, whether positive or negative, and I'm rarely disappointed 😞 We booked this establishment for a work-related cooking session with colleagues. We were surprised to find there was only one chef for eight people, in a tiny 10m² kitchen where you could barely move around... for a workshop where we were all supposed to be cooking... it wasn't ideal. The hygiene was a bit questionable... and that's putting it mildly. I still want to thank the chef who went out of his way to offer us, with limited resources, a pretty good menu and pleasant service. This didn't stop us from having a good evening. A mixed review, but worth reading to improve the service for future customers.

13/03/2026: I had a reservation at your establishment for 12:30 PM today. The service was far too fast; I barely had time to enjoy an aperitif before the main courses arrived five minutes later! The steak tartare was quite good, though a bit bland. The waiter was pleasant, but the manager or owner at the till was very cold, not a smile, and seemed stressed and touchy because he didn't appreciate us changing tables. The manager needs to learn to smile in all circumstances; we spend money to be satisfied from beginning to end.

05/03/2026: It seems to me that the quality of the food has declined. I went there in February and the Normandy salad was listed as having new potatoes: disappointed, they were cold potatoes from the day before. I went back today and the salmon steak was dry and overcooked.

06/04/2026: We had a wonderful family evening in a pleasant, cozy setting. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were very attentive. The meal featured excellent ingredients and a wide variety of flavors; the cuisine was refined. My only slight criticism was not the value for money of the set menu, but rather the added extras. For example, the daily special shouldn't have these extras, as they're already included in the menu. In fact, they might not even be necessary; we could simply stick to the set menu and add a few items to the à la carte menu if needed. Otherwise, we have absolutely no complaints; on the contrary, we will definitely return. The service was perfectly executed. There was no waiting and no need to ask for anything.

13/02/2026: A truly excellent restaurant where we just spent a lovely evening in a cozy atmosphere. The dishes were delicious and prepared with care. The welcome was very warm, and the owner was extremely attentive to her guests' needs. Special attention was paid to allergies, which is quite rare in France. A truly delightful experience not to be missed.

15/02/2026: A restaurant with delicious food and an unusual menu, although a little pricey, but perfect for Valentine's Day: Original and succulent salmon and scallop cannelloni, melt-in-your-mouth veal with carefully selected vegetables, and a mango Bavarian-style shortbread that left a delightful aftertaste. A lovely little Valentine's Day treat. Highly recommended!
