03/01/2026: We had a very pleasant stay; the snow was perfect, the food was divine, the homemade snails were a delight, and the owners were incredibly kind. We will definitely be back.

21/12/2025: To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I'm thrilled. This is the best venison goulash we've ever had. The wine and wild mushroom sauce is magical. The meat is as pure as tenderloin, not your typical goulash. Exceptionally tender, yet not overcooked. The pork head is as delicate as a savory crème brûlée. An absolute masterpiece of French cuisine.

11/09/2025: After this third stay at the Auberge de la Poulciere, this is the perfect place to forget about everyday worries. A charming little place nestled in a green setting in the heart of a forest. Peace, serenity, relaxation... Ideal for recharging your batteries and getting back to basics. The rooms are absolutely perfect and decorated with great taste and class. The owners are fabulous: helpful, friendly... but above all, their warm welcome makes the stay most enjoyable. I would come back. My haven of peace in the heart of nature.

14/01/2026: We spent last New Year's Eve enjoying a fantastic seven-course meal with great music. Considering the portion sizes, €145 was absolutely not too much to pay. After the fifth course, we were already more than full, but we had to at least try the last few courses.

14/02/2026: I was disappointed by the waitresses' attitude during and after service. It's really unprofessional when staff start cleaning while there are still customers at their tables. Personally, I won't be returning.

13/02/2026: No special beer on offer... only standard draft beers with absolutely no bubbles. The fries were lukewarm, no bread was offered, and when we asked for ketchup, we were given a bottle like at home without any container for our own sauce – not very hygienic. The water carafes weren't very clean either. The waitress came to collect our empty beer glass without even asking if we wanted anything else. The desserts were truly mediocre; €5 for a waffle with mass-produced sugar. It's a real shame because this restaurant is quite nice; you know how to welcome children with your dedicated area and a little treat to keep them occupied, but the service remains very average and the food is getting worse and worse. The prices are exorbitant.

28/11/2025: The owner gave us a very warm welcome. The daily special was decent, however, we were very disappointed with our dessert choices: a homemade vanilla/caramel Italian ice cream that was completely tasteless, and a "gourmet coffee" that was rather bland... What a shame!

08/12/2025: A real gem! While passing through Gérardmer, we were incredibly lucky to have lunch there as a family of four (without a reservation); everything was absolutely perfect. The setting is superb, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the welcome was amazing: smiles, attentiveness, kindness—you immediately feel at ease. And what can we say about the food? Pure bliss! Every dish was flavorful and perfectly executed; we enjoyed every bite from start to finish. From appetizer to dessert, the quality is truly exceptional: the snails are outstanding (and that's coming from someone from Burgundy!), the Savoyard fondue is good, the burger was delicious, and the desserts were exquisite (floating islands, chocolate shells, gourmet coffee); we also appreciated the wines that were recommended to us. Honestly, not a single flaw: go without hesitation, we recommend it 200%!
