14/08/2026: Disappointing experience! The waiter was completely uninvolved, pouring the wine next to the glass and not even apologizing! The meat was overcooked instead of rare, but the waiter assured us it was cooked perfectly! The side dish was potatoes, no vegetables at all. The wine list is exorbitantly priced, clearly aimed at a wealthy clientele! We didn't enjoy a good restaurant and won't be returning!

02/07/2026: I highly recommend this place: Fresh products, excellent value for money, and a superb outdoor area (beautiful shaded terrace, small, secure pond, swing and slide, pétanque court). Bertrand and his wife are very welcoming and attentive to their customers. And for fresh fish lovers, the trout is caught that very morning in the pond—a real treat!

25/08/2026: Great welcome. Lovely terrace. Affordable beer with peanuts (basic beer, admittedly, but still the cheapest half-pint in Gérardmer), well done! Plus, there was a concert!

23/08/2026: Nonexistent welcome, cold and amateurish service, poor quality and badly made drinks: the iced caffe latte was drowned in milk (we had to explain to the waitress how to make one) and the matcha latte was drowned in sweetened milk (we had asked for it unsweetened) and of poor quality. Go for the shop if you want, but not for a drink. PS: The owner's responses are appalling, worthy of a 4-year-old who hasn't yet grasped the concept of self-reflection – if you're not open to criticism, close down!

17/08/2026: A very good restaurant of manageable size, with well-selected local products, well-cooked for good value for money, and where you can "chill" in the garden.

14/08/2026: This restaurant has the audacity to refuse customers. We wanted to order two blueberry tarts and two coffees, but apparently that wasn't enough for 12:45 PM... I should point out that the restaurant was relatively empty, even an hour later. For a Tuesday... We are a well-dressed couple. We didn't bring anything that might tarnish the establishment. It's truly incomprehensible. The blonde waitress (I don't know her name, sorry) politely asked us to leave. Otherwise, the food is good, but it's still a brasserie, and the prices are a bit high.

10/08/2026: We discovered this restaurant during our visit to the area, and we were delighted! The staff were very friendly (they even asked if the dog needed a drink), the service was quick, and the menu had a great selection. We'll definitely be back for next time; we northerners will be returning! 😁

31/07/2026: While strolling through Senones, we stumbled upon La Salle des Gardes quite by chance and were delighted to receive excellent service and, above all, superb cuisine. Only the finest ingredients, expertly prepared. A true pleasure. The Vosges Burger was simply outstanding. The tarte flambée and Vosges salad were equally impressive. A truly wonderful discovery. And all at unbeatable prices.

17/08/2026: The food was good and we enjoyed our meal. However, we were disappointed by the service. The woman who served us was really unpleasant, which unfortunately spoiled the experience somewhat. It's a shame, because the quality of the food was excellent.

09/08/2026: I should clarify that we didn't have the opportunity to eat at this establishment, so I can't comment on the food or the quality of the meals. We were hiking and stopped by quite early with my mother, simply to ask to use the restroom. We were refused entry on the grounds that we weren't customers. I find this particularly regrettable, especially since we were prepared to pay for the restroom if necessary. What's even more unfortunate is that we had planned to return to eat there later. There was no one there at the time, so we could certainly have used the restroom before dining. Unfortunately, the welcome and especially the attitude of the woman we dealt with were very unpleasant. We left very disappointed and with a negative impression of the establishment. It's a shame, because you've lost two potential customers who initially intended to eat there.
