Everything was perfect, from the appetizer to the dessert, a festive menu of rare finesse where each dish showcased exceptional culinary expertise. What makes the experience at L'Échevin truly unique is the precious balance between exquisite cuisine and exemplary, humane service. It's rare to find a restaurant of this caliber where the staff demonstrates such attentiveness, anticipating every wish with a smile and courtesy that made us feel privileged from the very first moment. We extended this enchanting interlude at Bar Le Baron, where the cocktails are simply exquisite, served by a team that is as warm as it is professional. A must-visit in Colmar where the art of hospitality truly comes to life. We will return with immense pleasure to discover new culinary gems. Thank you for this exceptional experience!

07/05/2026: Next to the food which was delicious, the atmosphere and service were thoughtful and warm. We went there with a group of nine people, to sing a concert in town, and were seen to our every need. They are warm people who have a visible passion for Maroccan food and culture, which shines through in the taste and presentation of their dishes. Recommendation: the Maroccan tea and Tajines.

17/04/2026: I'm a little disappointed... everything else is perfect, the saleswoman is really nice, the prices are reasonable and fair, the ice creams are beautifully presented and look appetizing, but the biggest problem is... the taste of the ice cream. My family and I didn't find them particularly impressive; they had a rather bland taste and didn't really resemble the original flavor. It's a real shame :(

06/04/2026: We bought ice cream there, and the chocolate flavor (Nutella ice cream) was clearly spoiled. When we politely pointed this out to the employee, she tasted the ice cream herself. However, instead of apologizing, she reacted rudely and was visibly annoyed. She took the scoop back and simply threw it away. Despite this, we were charged the full price for the discarded ice cream. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable. Paying for a spoiled product that you couldn't even eat is simply wrong. This is not what customer service should be like. I unfortunately cannot recommend this store!

23/04/2026: Friendly staff. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The salad looked fresh, but the rest of the sandwich was deplorable: bland, dry white bread, sauce, and the first bit of chicken I could taste was in the middle of the sandwich. It tasted like eating a stale crust of white bread with a layer of mayonnaise. I threw the rest away and went to buy one elsewhere... The pastries looked appetizing, and the pizzas and quiches looked good with very little crust, so the rest might be very good... worth trying, but as for the sandwiches, avoid them...

04/03/2026: Stopped for lunch with a colleague. The sandwich sizes were ridiculously small. The price per kilo would be exorbitant. They used margarine instead of butter and grated Gruyère instead of Emmental.

04/04/2026: Visited on a Saturday around 8pm. It’s about a 10mins walk from the main sightseeing spots, but very close to the station, which makes it convenient. You can enjoy traditional Alsace dishes here. The atmosphere feels refined, the service is good, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. And of course, the food was amazing.

04/04/2026: We didn't find the restaurant we knew before Covid. The waiters weren't unpleasant, but the menu, the food, the opening hours... we were disappointed. It was better before... We used to be real regulars.

08/03/2026: Absolutely revolting experience. (March 8, 2026; 3:30 PM) While I was in the restroom, a tattooed employee literally forced the door open to physically remove me. This is a blatant violation of privacy and a complete lack of professionalism. I have never seen an establishment treat its customers with such contempt and aggression. If you value your safety and dignity, avoid this place. Apparently, management allows its staff to act like lawless bouncers, even in the most private areas. A total disgrace to the neighborhood. ABSOLUTELY AVOID.

03/01/2026: The staff are pleasant, but the cocktails are mediocre. The cocktail menu is very extensive, but the basics are missing.

07/12/2025: The staff wasn't friendly. The pastries were nothing special, and we had to go upstairs because there was no more room downstairs. The cleanliness was really lacking. Upstairs, there was a member of staff doing paperwork at their desk, and the cook was listening to music.

27/04/2026: It was recommended to us by the hotel La Maison des Teres, where we stayed. It was a big disappointment. Very slow service, we waited 15 minutes for a menu, 15 to take our order. The food was mostly tasteless.

21/04/2026: It's a restaurant! A little old-fashioned, but with all the right credentials. Obviously, the Choucroute 8 Garnitures takes center stage, especially since Alsatian cuisine isn't exactly known for its sheer number of dishes. The white asparagus is excellent, and the ham (the very good cooked ham) is the perfect accompaniment. Equally obvious: the Alsatian wine, of course!
