Les meilleurs restaurants en Haute-Corse

19/11/2025: Restaurant opened in November, which is really cool. The bread offered at the table was very good and very fresh. As for the aperitif: Served a 250ml Coke instead of the usual 330ml in other restaurants. The white Martini was served with far too much ice and not enough liqueur. Main course: The piece of meat was of exemplary quality, beautifully grilled yet incredibly tender. I have rarely eaten such good meat, accompanied by very soft and fluffy roasted potatoes (small portion). Table service: The waitress was very polite and welcoming. My wife and I had a lovely time and, above all, a fantastic meal. Many thanks again to the chef that day. Best of luck!

13/11/2025: Impeccable service and very pleasant staff, but apparently public health standards and common sense do not apply in this place, you can still smoke inside, there are even ashtrays on the tables and regular customers do not hesitate, even when accompanied by young children.

09/10/2024: Endroit calme et cool, service sympathique, cuisine appréciée ( sauf le café gourmand pas terrible), conseillé par le Routard donc justifié comme d'habitude. Petit bémol, pas de menu, et pas de vins autre que Corse, ce qui semble habituel ici. Beau moment tout de même.

29/09/2024: Breakfast disappointment and unpleasant service We were disappointed by our experience at the L'Escale restaurant during a breakfast with a group of five people. At 13 euros per person, breakfast includes a hot drink, orange juice, yogurt, half a baguette with butter and two jams, as well as a pastry. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. As soon as we arrived, the waitress was not the most pleasant. We had to wait a long time for our pastries, and when we asked where they were, the answer was curt: "I told you I put them in the oven." It was not the kind of attentive, friendly service you would expect, especially for a convivial occasion like breakfast. What surprised us the most was to learn that the pastries were frozen, while the bread came directly from the baker. We politely expressed our preference for fresh pastries, but the waitress said they were better frozen. At no time did she take our opinion into account, remaining cold and unpleasant throughout the exchange. In summary, the value for money does not justify the experience, especially in the face of such unwelcoming service. One positive point: the fresh bread was good, but the attitude of the staff and the frozen pastries tarnished our stay. Move on and go a little further because the prices are more attractive and the welcome is much more pleasant.

27/09/2024: I had breakfast and must say the experience was disappointing. The chocolatines were frozen, which really ruined our meal. When we mentioned this to the waitress, her response was less than professional. She even told us that she preferred frozen chocolatines rather than those from the bakery. This attitude left us perplexed and certainly did not help to improve the atmosphere. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a good breakfast.

All this does not make restaurateurs immune from my opinion, who, as I always say, have a task and a duty towards diners, and that is respect for who you are in their restaurant! well that didn't happen today! in a restaurant located in a magnificent place... Algajola, a part of the world that has benefited from nature and an indigenous beauty that only Corsica can grant you. However.. the point is, that certain restaurateurs, before having the benefit of working in such a beautiful place, should prove their culinary and cultural skills! but above all knowing how to demonstrate a little respect for the territory, and for the diners, who ultimately give it a living, but given the poor quality of the food and perhaps the skills of the chef himself". Well... Gentlemen, I'll just say that my culinary experience in this place "Le Padula" was among the worst I've ever had in my life". As I have said several times, my job, for many years, has been to create food to bring joy to those who want to do it... always respecting those who sit at the table and who have believed in you. This evening... tired of seeing so much incompetence... I just paid for everything, simply telling the cashier that the food they served me was Horrible! I forgot about the service...white wine is always served cold and salad creams must not be frozen. Best wishes for the future... because you need it

26/08/2024: Bel endroit avec une belle plage et une vue à l’horizon illimitée. Un plombé immédiat sur une courte distance et une eau claire. Parking gratuit tout le long de la plage . Côté cuisine belle expérience gustative et, un service très correct et agréable. Je recommande. Paiement no cb !

25/09/2024: On vacation in Calvi, we wanted to do some shopping the day before our departure. The next day, back on the continent, we realized that the weight paid for cut cold meats did not correspond to reality (50 g on our scale and 150 g on theirs). Additionally, we purchased a cheese with a best before date of August 8 (we made our purchases on September 21). The sellers are not friendly. We do not recommend this store.

14/10/2024: We stayed for a week at L'Ariana, all the staff members are warm and friendly. The location is ideal, on the seafront with swimming pool and direct access to the sea, nearby beaches within walking distance. We were just a little disappointed that there was no catering in the hotel (apart from the charming breakfast on their terrace and the sea view) The rooms are a little old, but are nevertheless very comfortable, cute and pleasant. Another very big thank you to them, because they greatly participated in our wonderful stay
