11/10/2025: I called the hotel reception to reserve access to the spa. The receptionist asked me if the reservation was for all three of us (since there were three of us, my family and I, staying at the hotel). I clarified that no, it was just me, and I asked if that was a problem. I was told no, that it was no problem, but at no point was I informed of a different rate. When it came time to pay, I was told €30, because the spa is charged for a minimum of two people. I was then told that the welcome booklet mentions a minimum of two people at €15 per person and that "it's written everywhere." However, on the entrance door of the room, there is no indication of this condition. And above all, when I asked if it was a problem to book alone, all they could have done was reply: "No, that's not a problem, but the minimum is two people, so the rate for one person will be the same as for two." In short, letting your client know, that's enough. This would have given me the choice to book or not. In my case, at that price, I would have simply abstained. I find this very regrettable: the client doesn't have to guess the implicit rules; it's up to the staff to provide clear information, especially when booking by phone where I had explicitly asked the question. When I pointed out this lack of communication, I was simply told "it's written everywhere," without any kind of goodwill gesture being offered. Is it really legal to charge for an individual service by imposing a minimum rate for two people, without clearly informing the client at the time of booking? This practice leaves a strong feeling of abuse and lack of professionalism. This morning, we reported this to the hotel manager, who acknowledged that her colleague should indeed have notified us by phone. She therefore admitted the professional error, but again, we were not offered any compensation. You can therefore not blame us for sharing this opinion: we attempted to resolve this dispute internally and even warned you that we would inform your future guests, since your staff was unable to do so. This clearly didn't bother you, since you replied, "Well, go ahead." It's a shame, because the hotel is pleasant, but this experience clearly tarnishes your stay. In response to your reply: Hello, I would like to correct the inaccurate elements of your response. When I made my telephone reservation, I was never informed that access to the spa required a minimum of two people. I had clearly read the rate of €15 per person, and I am perfectly capable of distinguishing between €15 and €30. Not all of your information materials clearly and easily mention this condition; my photos are proof of this. This is therefore a clear lack of transparency, not a misunderstanding on my part. You claim that your receptionist informed me verbally, but she admitted to us that she hadn't done so, and an apology was indeed offered at the time. So please don't rewrite the facts. On a more symbolic level, I would say that the mirror effect is sometimes necessary: ​​when an establishment acts unclearly toward its customers, it should come as no surprise that they seek to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Perhaps this will help you better understand the feelings of a customer who is being withheld essential information. Finally, your prices for certain products are, let's be honest, outrageous: €5 for a small box of candy, €5 for 15g of peanuts... This speaks volumes about your concept of hospitality. I encourage you to review your communication and practices so that other customers don't have to go through the same experience.
28/09/2025: We spent two nights in this hotel, location is ok, the food from the restaurant was very good. Was a good spot for discovering the north west coast.

25/04/2026: Avoid at all costs! We stopped there before catching the ferry to Île Rousse, never again. No sandwiches, no pizza, no charcuterie platter... It took half an hour to get two mixed grill plates. Two sausages, a piece of bacon, and frozen fries. €20 a plate, a pitcher of rosé and a Coke €16.50. Expensive for something that wasn't even good. Not even an apology or a smile. They don't accept cards even though the Visa logo is on the door. Shameful. We won't be going back.
19/02/2026: I used to stop there for years, even decades. I'll never stop there again. Rude and rude welcome from the person whose card game you interrupted… A draft beer, please: "I don't have any, Heineken"… Keep it to yourself!

The cake and flan were delicious, and it was excellent value for money. The owner is welcoming, the waitresses are equally pleasant, and the icing on the cake: pets are welcome! 🐾

11/11/2025: Arrived at 2:45 PM, ordered at 2:55 PM, left at 4:20 PM and we're still waiting to be served... 3 orders of 2 scoops of ice cream with sauce and one sundae... We kept asking the waiter and waitress, who seemed more apologetic than anything else. They followed up with the ice cream parlor, but nothing... we're still waiting to be served... 5 stars for the servers, but zero for the management and the establishment. Run away! But if you're looking to lose weight, they're great 👍 You come in with a huge craving for ice cream, you order, and they take care of you because they never actually serve you 🤣 Thanks for the diet.

09/04/2026: We booked a one-night stay at this hotel. No one was there to greet us upon arrival (we left our key on the counter), and no one was there to check out. The room was a decent size, but the bathroom was ridiculously small and very old; thankfully, the bed was comfortable. The room was incredibly noisy; it felt like we were in the hallway. It wasn't worth the price of the reservation.
09/04/2026: An exceptional dining experience from the very first moment. We were welcomed and taken care of immediately upon arrival — with a level of attention that feels natural rather than forced. It is clear that this is a family-run place where presence and genuine care for guests truly matter. The menu was introduced in a calm, clear and thoughtful way, which — especially for English-speaking guests — is far from common and very much appreciated. The presentation, execution and flavors of each dish were outstanding. Refined, precise, yet without unnecessary pretension — simply excellent cuisine that speaks for itself. Portions were generous, and the pricing felt entirely fair for the level of quality delivered. A truly memorable experience. Highly recommended.

11/09/2025: We were having a great evening with a small band playing music and a happy, festive atmosphere until the bar owner decided to verbally attack my husband for no reason. He then physically threatened him by trying to fight him outside. A very bad experience and we absolutely do not recommend this kind of place.

24/10/2025: Spent 2 weeks at this campsite at the end of September, quiet, close to the beach and St Florent on foot via the footbridge. We find that there is a bit of a lack of privacy between the neighbors' terraces, but hey, we were gone all day 😊 Mobile home (after moving the next day because the shower was cracked) clean, well-appointed but extremely hard bedding and a pillow that can be compared to a bag of cement 😏 I challenge the owners of this campsite to sleep on this bedding for 2 weeks because the nights were not really restorative, almost happy to get up to relieve the back 😅
19/10/2025: Excellent campsite, I don't understand the negative reviews. Friendly, responsive, and competent staff. Clean mobile home in a great location. We had a wonderful vacation.

12/04/2026: The hotel is very well located, the staff are remarkably kind, and the room we stayed in was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the sea. The only slight drawback was the size of the room, which was a little small for a superior room, but this is a minor detail compared to all the positive aspects of the hotel and the view from the restaurant directly overlooking the sea and the citadel of Calvi.
04/03/2026: A very pleasant stay at the Hôtel Le Méditerranée in Calvi during a business trip. What makes this hotel truly unique is, above all, its exceptional location, practically at the foot of the Calvi citadel. The setting is magnificent, with a superb view of the bay and an environment that immediately gives the impression of being on vacation, even when you're there for work. I particularly enjoyed the swimming pool on the terrace, seemingly suspended above the landscape, offering a magnificent panorama of the sea and mountains. It's the perfect place to relax after a busy day. Another very pleasant surprise was the quality of the restaurant, with its refined and very enjoyable cuisine. It's a real bonus when staying there. And above all, a big thank you to the owners for their kindness and warm welcome, which give this establishment a friendly and authentic atmosphere. A truly wonderful place to stay in Calvi, ideally located just steps from the citadel and the town center, which I highly recommend.

Everything was dry and completely tasteless! We ordered €65 for three people; it's unacceptable to eat such poor-quality food at that price! I won't be ordering again and I don't recommend it!
