28/09/2026: When you arrive in a city you're discovering for the first time for a holiday in Calvi, there's one exceptional place you absolutely must visit: La Poivrière! A particularly warm welcome and exceptionally friendly staff: you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door. You're completely comfortable. A big thank you to Manu, Sabine, and our ever-smiling waiter. The restaurant also boasts an ideal, convenient, and pleasant location. As for the food, the chef delighted us with simply outstanding cuisine, generous and bursting with flavor. Don't hesitate to try the fisherman's platter with lobster and the capon (or scorpionfish) with its divine fresh vegetable tagliatelle, and the mussels from Diana's pond. Even the perfectly tender roasted chicken in its own juices is delicious, all at a reasonable price. The tiramisu is divine, and to finish in style, try a myrtle liqueur or a limoncello. A truly wonderful place that you'll want to return to without hesitation. Thank you to the whole team! Don't hesitate, go for it!!!

27/09/2026: Very unhelpful staff. We were served an entrecote that was obviously spoiled, had a nauseating smell, and tasted disgusting. The dish was rejected and sent back to the kitchen. Both the waitress and the chef tried to make us believe it was good, but they didn't bother to offer an alternative.

17/09/2026: Beautiful restaurant with a stunning view of the beach, practically with your feet in the sand, perfect for watching the sunset. We opted for the octopus, which was delicious. Diego provided very friendly and impeccable service. However, we didn't understand the origin of the meat served at this restaurant. While we didn't eat any meat, they had EU beef and, more importantly, Spanish pork, even though we were in Corsica. I'd like an explanation...

13/09/2026: A fantastic experience at this restaurant. Even though it's the end of the season, the staff remains incredibly pleasant, attentive, and friendly. Finally, the food is fresh and delicious. It's a sure bet!

01/10/2026: Great location, service "so-so", food disappointing compared to previous years, far too Thai-centric. The langoustines with Thai spaghetti have nothing to do with the Corsican cuisine one would expect here... and the taste??? If that's your thing!!!

13/09/2026: The staff were very welcoming and responsive. We had breakfast and dinner, and a complimentary digestif was offered. The restaurant was excellent, both in terms of quality and quantity. Flawless. We highly recommend it.

12/09/2026: Too long a wait, poor organization from the waitress who kept running back and forth and forgotting half the order, bland dishes (like sea bream tartare 😔), and ridiculously small portions for the price. The overpriced desserts were ridiculous, so we didn't order any. Avoid this place ☹️

01/09/2026: Excellent seared tuna with Asian spices, definitely worth the trip, but it was the daily special, so ask beforehand. A very good and original passion fruit mille-feuille. Breathtaking view of the port of Calvi and the waitress is very friendly.

20/09/2026: Excellent dinner, just be careful they don't make pizza on Sundays. Service is nice, pleasant, fast. Schnitzel with fries and wok pan with chicken, excellent food. When we are in Bastia we will definitely come back here again! I recommend

28/09/2026: This restaurant was recommended by someone I met on the beach. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The food was delicious and brought back childhood memories (the egg mayonnaise and the apple crumble with a scoop of ice cream were simply divine). As for the mullet fillet with its beurre blanc sauce and lemony mashed potatoes... a real treat! I highly recommend it; don't miss it if you're in the area. 😉

13/08/2026: A warm and friendly welcome from an experienced and passionate pizza chef! 🍕 The pizzas are simply incredible and delicious, prepared with great skill. A wonderful discovery that we highly recommend! His wife is also exceptionally kind.

21/07/2026: We ate pizza here twice and they were excellent. Good dough, perfect texture (not a thick American-style base), tasty toppings, and a warm welcome. There were quite a few of us and it was hot outside (inside there's air conditioning!). The best pizza in Bastia!

02/09/2026: A rustic restaurant located in a small village just minutes from Saint-Florent. We ate really well, and the prices were more than fair and competitive (considering the average in the area). The view from the terrace is breathtaking. If you're in the area, definitely stop by.

18/09/2026: Fantastic. Beautiful place, with a great view. Excellent food, both the Corsican menu and the à la carte dishes. I usually experiment when I'm on vacation; I never return to the same place twice, but I had such a great time here that I made an exception. Highly recommended!!!

11/09/2026: We returned to this restaurant for a romantic dinner... Always pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, we always have a lovely time. However, this time again, even with a hefty bill, coffee wasn't offered, nor was a small digestif requested. It's a shame about this little gesture, which is becoming increasingly rare and is always appreciated. We received a warm welcome, with menus arriving very quickly. The dishes arrived promptly as well, and everything was delicious. We weren't disappointed. It's not our first time here, and several years later, it's still just as good 👌👍. The only slight criticism I would make is that with a bill of almost €100 for two, the single coffee we ordered could have been offered, or perhaps a small digestif. 😔 While it's not obligatory, it's always a nice touch, especially in keeping with our customs here in Corsica. Apart from that, the quality of the food and service is excellent.
