Les meilleurs restaurants en Haute-Loire

25/08/2026: Bad experience, twice over. One waitress was very nice, but unfortunately left too early for her break. Then, the waiters were unpleasant, the Cokes were served at room temperature, and the bill was hefty (4 euros per drink, on average, for Cokes, juice, and a shandy). As an added bonus, both times we went, a waiter didn't give us our change, offering the same excuse: "Sorry, I put it on the till and forgot to give it to you." Not a great experience, so I'll wait a while before coming back. Maybe the end of summer will change the waiters' attitude.

17/08/2026: While on vacation here, we wanted to go for a drink. On our first day, we ordered mojitos and ended up with a non-alcoholic mojito without ice, very poorly prepared. We decided to go back a second time, and this time after a 20-minute wait, gestures indicating we wanted to take our order, and then seeing that other people had just arrived and were served immediately, I don't think that's right. So we left. Avoid this place.

14/09/2025: We ate delicious galettes. We were served quickly, and the prices were very reasonable.

21/05/2026: We had the apartment, very spacious, but no kitchen tools, so you cannot cook. But the restaurant is excellent, so no worries.

03/05/2026: A place out of time. We stumbled upon it on our way to our holiday destination and found a delightful restaurant in a dreamlike setting. The village is enchanting, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. So much so that we'll gladly return on our way back. Thank you for the books, the warm welcome, and the friendliness. Sylvie, Anaïs, and little Ambre, who knows you and is on a first-name basis with you.

16/08/2026: A great spot in Le Puy-en-Velay for coffee lovers ☕️ I really enjoyed discovering the roastery and the whole world surrounding coffee. A true gem in the city center where you'll enjoy stopping by, exploring the different coffees, and leaving with enough to extend the pleasure at home. Thank you for the warm welcome and helpful advice. An address to remember on Rue d'Avignon!

11/08/2026: While passing through Le Puy-en-Velay, we stopped by for a coffee. The service was excellent and the shopkeepers very friendly. I highly recommend it.

08/08/2026: Excellent place! Local produce, homemade dishes, and it shows in the food. Top-notch welcome and service, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

08/08/2026: We were welcomed by the father and son, passionate and very warm people. We also had a very good meal. To accompany our fondue, we received excellent advice on the local wine and digestif.

21/05/2026: The rooms are dated, but the bedding is good quality, the location is quiet, and the staff is very welcoming. The breakfast buffet is a bit limited in choice... it would be nice to have scrambled eggs or an omelet...

12/05/2026: A very bad experience today at lunchtime in this restaurant, which is nevertheless recognized as a member of the Toque d’Auvergne association. The banquette offered in the bistro section was very uncomfortable. After asking to be seated at the end of the table, on a chair, the manager spontaneously offered us a seat in the gastronomic section, where tables were available, to allow for a more comfortable seating arrangement. This solution, initially accepted and offered by the manager herself, was then refused by the manager. He indicated that this table required ordering the gastronomic menu. As a result, we were forced to pay €36 instead of the original €19 menu price, simply to be seated more comfortably. For an establishment recognized by the Toque d’Auvergne association, one could legitimately expect a more respectful, consistent, and customer-focused welcome. A real lack of consideration and a very disappointing experience, especially considering we had been there before...

12/03/2026: Absolutely excellent. The rooms, while not luxurious, are spacious and well-equipped. The staff is very professional. The restaurant is superb. Refined, gourmet cuisine at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this establishment.

05/09/2026: Excellent pizzas and the wood-fired cooking adds a bonus 👌 long-time customer, never disappointed.

03/08/2026: The pizza wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. The service was 15 minutes late. Not the best pizzeria, but not the worst either.

22/08/2026: I've never eaten such a good pizza, made with what I imagine were local ingredients. The pizza oven is huge and looks fantastic. I highly recommend it!

15/05/2026: We arrived at 9:40 PM and were surprised to be turned away! The kitchen had clearly been cleaned for a while, and we were told it was closed, even though they close at 10 PM. The waiter said, "If you want, I can call my housekeeper," because we thought it wise to mention they were closing in 20 minutes! Shameful.
