22/03/2026: Some of the waiters were just wasting time. The wait was far too long, we were very disappointed. The €29 set menu didn't include suckling pig or fresh fruit salad, so we had to choose something else. We had to queue to pay. Three hours for three courses. We won't be going back. What a disappointment.

14/08/2025: Great little market near the lake and Navarrosse beach, where you can find fruits and vegetables (especially real beefsteak tomatoes which are tasty, for those who like them!), bread, a small selection of cheeses, honey, jams, wine and oysters. A few shaded tables also allow you to eat on site. Bicycle parking for customers. Open every day (morning and evening).

05/04/2026: We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, drawn in by numerous positive reviews. The menu was good, no complaints there. However, the service was appalling: we waited 40 minutes just to get the menu and some water. In particular, the woman with thick glasses, extremely unpleasant and arrogant, who came to serve us initially, was particularly rude. She claimed to have worked there for 30 years, but seemed to have never learned the basics of customer service.

17/04/2026: The set menu price is high for the quality and not displayed on site. The food is quite greasy and the fruit is tasteless. The service was adequate. The card terminal is malfunctioning; bring another payment method.

28/03/2026: A very enjoyable experience. House cocktails were available, including virgin versions. The food was well-seasoned and expertly prepared. We recommend the cod fritters and the chicken, which were both very meaty. We received a very warm welcome. We will definitely return.

06/04/2026: We celebrated our daughter's 20th birthday at the Auberge du Grand Mégnos. Everything was perfect: generous portions, quality ingredients, and impeccable service. The welcome was very friendly. We were a group of 30 people, and the unanimous opinion was: go there!

10/03/2026: ⛳️ A magnificent, manicured course, a pro shop with a great collection of branded merchandise, and excellent service since the takeover (Ataula). Beyond that, and having played at the club for almost 20 years, I can attest that the facilities are very well maintained and the driving range is easily accessible and clean. Members should note the very well-organized chipping area at the rear of the driving range. But that's not all; beyond its rich history, Hossegor Golf Club excels in team sports, is developing a top-tier golf academy (some of whose players go on to play in the USA), and knows how to innovate, as evidenced by its recent partnership with Victor Dubuisson 👏. It's a great place to feel at home, a place to meet up with fellow golfers and friends for a drink or lunch on the weekend. And of course, to enjoy the course ⛳️

06/10/2025: A truly blissful moment in Contis-Plage! On our GR8 hiking trail, we stopped in Contis-Plage for a simple lunch break... which turned into a delightful moment. From the moment we arrived, a welcoming, friendly, and attentive welcome enveloped us like a summer breeze. The team is quick, approachable, and exceptionally kind. The dishes are simple yet elaborate, bursting with color and flavor, a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and the setting, nestled between the ocean and the pine forest. You can sense a wonderful collective spirit here: the staff and management take the time to come and chat, to make sure everything went well, with a sincerity that warms the heart. A charming and light-filled stopover that I recommend without hesitation to all travelers in search of a little humanity and real flavors.
