14/06/2026: Yes, but... This review, which is entirely my own, concerns a high-end establishment, or rather, an establishment that charges high prices, hence my reservations. I'm posting it for those who are lucky enough to have friends who will treat them to a 6-course tasting menu (without drinks) for a hefty 90 euros per person. We couldn't go whenever we wanted, but oh well... we went anyway. The weather was beautiful and warm, and we were in the (rather ordinary) outdoor courtyard of the restaurant with three other couples. Upon arrival, we were offered water—still or sparkling—so we ordered still water (which cost us 7 euros at the end of the meal). Then they brought us the wine list, or rather, the wine bible. I must say, we were a little taken aback by the almost endless selection of wines and their prices (about three to five times the price of a bottle). Anyway, we had a very ordinary 8-euro kir as an aperitif. Since we didn't want to pay between 8 and 18 euros for a glass of wine or 60 euros for an ordinary bottle, we ordered a 26-euro bottle from a well-known winemaker in Gascony whose wine sells for 7 euros in supermarkets. The dishes on the menu were beautifully presented and quite good, even very good (that's 15 euros each, though), but that's undeniable—it's the work of a chef. What really bothered us was that, with such a high-priced menu, we weren't offered an aperitif and wine pairings upfront. Quite frankly, the food was good, but it lacked that extra something, and I think the wine pairing was largely to blame, as was the disproportion between what should have been a memorable experience and the price.

14/07/2026: The staff were very attentive, but the cleanliness was average (dust), and they offered wine without a menu. The bill was steep. The piña colada cocktail was a 0. The Liège coffee needs improvement in terms of ingredients and presentation. It's better to go to a brasserie.

14/07/2026: Terrible welcome, very dirty restaurant, they touch the inside of their noses and don't even wash their hands, and the managers, let's not even talk about their endless nastiness. I do not recommend this restaurant at all, last time I will set foot in it and I will inform as many people around me as possible.

13/07/2026: A wide selection of specialty breads. Superb welcome and helpful advice on pastries. I'm always satisfied with the quality of the cakes and their reasonable prices. Bonus: easy parking right in front of the bakery.

19/04/2026: You'll need to buy a good kilo of smiles. As friendly as a prison door, she practically shoves your purchase in your face. The food might be good, but the service behind the counter is appalling. If you don't want to work in retail, find another job.

30/07/2026: So... How to put it... The reception staff clearly need some sales training. The hotel staff and housekeepers are superbly trained, which is a real pleasure 😊. The pool is large and clean, and the common areas are worthy of a 3-star hotel, which it is. However, when you're quoted the price of a Mercure (€350) per night in July or August without breakfast, you don't expect to find mold in the bathrooms (photos attached). Another comment for the owners: when a guest spends over €1700 for two nights full board in two rooms with extras, charging €1 for a yogurt for a 77-year-old woman who was feeling unwell is unprofessional. At checkout, not even a simple question about how the stay went... At that price, it's a shame... But I hope future guests who read this post will be better informed than I am.

10/08/2026: A 25-minute wait for 5 takeaway meals. Very few people in the dining area, the kitchen staff was all present but working at a snail's pace. A serious management and organizational problem! The Happy Meals were ready, but we waited over fifteen minutes for veggie nuggets, only to be told, after asking three times, that they didn't have any in the restaurant. I don't usually complain, but this time I obviously asked them to replace the fries, which had completely gone cold. When we got home, we discovered incomplete portions. I won't be going back. I'll drive a few extra kilometers to the one in Anglet, on the Bayonne-Anglet-Biarritz (BAB), or the one in Ametzondo, which are properly managed.

02/07/2026: Hello, Before heading to Pessac, I made a quick stop at Subway. It had been a while since I'd been there. Well, I was a little overwhelmed by all the "sandwich" options. Luckily, a pleasant and professional young man guided me and advised me on the recipe on the menu. Okay, I went for it. It went into the oven very quickly, and even more quickly the additional filling was added, all with the same professionalism and friendliness. Then it was off to the register and time to eat. Honestly, I'm so glad I trusted this young man because it was delicious. The sandwich was lightly spiced and just spicy enough not to overpower the taste of the meat and other ingredients. I'll definitely be back. Friendly service, helpful advice, speed—what more could you ask for? Thank you to the whole team. Eric.

10/05/2026: Hello, we went today and were a little disappointed compared to usual. We come quite regularly and are usually very well received. Today, the two employees didn't seem very enthusiastic; one pretended not to hear/see us for quite a while, until her colleague returned from her break. We placed our usual order with an extra wrap, and we were disappointed with the quantity of fries we received. They are usually cooked in a pan so you can judge the right amount, but this time the employee just served them by hand... We paid for 150g for 6 fries (my partner and I usually share them, so we have a rough idea of ​​what it usually amounts to, and the quantity was clearly insufficient). Then, at the time of payment, if my partner hadn't requested a set menu, no one would have offered it to us, and the way the set menus were presented was not at all advantageous (choosing the wrap as a set menu instead of the second Sub30, even though we had specifically requested sandwiches, is clearly a shame). The employee, usually very helpful and smiling, became less so as the order progressed. It's very disappointing, and we don't plan to return for a while. This is more of a warning for future customers than anything else, to prevent this kind of unpleasant experience for others. Sincerely.

25/07/2026: 0. Friendliness. I'd been waiting for my order for 30 minutes when I went to the restroom and came back to find it had been called. I went to the counter and the person said to me very curtly, "It's been a long time." I told them I'd gone to the restroom and that I'd been waiting a long time too. There really are ways to speak to people. I'm really disappointed, especially since we've been coming every summer for the past three years.
