Friendly and attentive servers. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend it for a trendy, youthful vibe.

29/09/2026: This brasserie is very well located in the heart of Pau. The homemade iced tea was a bit too cinnamon-flavored for me, but that's just a matter of taste. The servers are efficient and attentive. It's the perfect place to relax for a while in the center of Pau.

La carte change régulièrement pour s'adapter aux produits de saison et le choix de tapas est une tuerie ! 21/09/2026: We just ate at this small restaurant, which was equally refined and enjoyable. The staff wasn't at full strength this evening, yet the waitress served us with a smile and enthusiasm despite the truly unpleasant complaints from other customers. We had a wonderful time and will gladly return.

18/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great experience! I had a Kasdal and a hamburger, and both were excellent. The Kasdal was very flavorful and made with quality ingredients. The hamburger was also delicious, with perfectly cooked meat and a soft bun. A big thank you to the owner who was super friendly, smiling, and very helpful. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Fast service, generous portions, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend this fast-food restaurant! 👌🍔🥙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

10/07/2026: One of only 2 vegan restaurants in Pau. Nice relaxing atmosphere. The starter was interesting raw veg, hummus and strawberries. The tabbule main had quinoa,peaches and tiny little cubes of tofu. Really tasty. Had a walnut cake for dessert. Beautiful. Highly recommended if you don't like eating where dead animals are served.

04/07/2026: I don't come often... But whenever I can choose a restaurant, it's Grignote! We love its discreet location, the lovely natural decor, and Eva's friendly and discreet service. The dishes are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate, and the unique monthly menu is always a hit! I'm a big fan of the "open-faced sandwiches of the moment" in every season, and I'm never disappointed, always delighted! And you can go for the desserts without hesitation; they're all to die for! So yes, it won't suit every palate... Forget superficial flavors and excessive sugar. Here, it's about rediscovering more natural food, without unnecessary flavor enhancers, and vegan to boot. It's not easy to achieve, and yet, Grignote does it brilliantly with seasonal ingredients! So, for those who enjoy culinary innovation, simplicity, and a warm, Nordic atmosphere, I highly recommend it! In any case, we'll be back, and more than once!

13/08/2026: What a delightful time we had at this restaurant! Everything was perfectly executed, from the welcome to the last bite. The quality of the ingredients was impeccable, and the presentation was truly exquisite. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail on the plate, especially the pomegranate seeds, which added a touch of freshness and a beautiful splash of color to the dessert. We loved the ambiance and the refined flavors. It's an excellent place to treat yourself. We will definitely be back.

25/09/2026: Another fantastic time spent as a couple! The food was simply extraordinary. Our Spanish waitress was truly wonderful and found us a table despite the complications she was facing. Our usual wine, which was no longer on the menu, was still served! Please bring it back, because the wine selection is excellent! We are truly never disappointed by this restaurant; keep up the good work!

22/05/2026: A disappointing experience. During a period of intense heat, feeling unwell, I simply asked for a glass of water, which was refused with a haughty attitude. I found this lack of humanity regrettable, especially during a heatwave.

25/08/2026: A very pleasant stay and a wonderful experience at La Basse Cour restaurant in the Mercure de Pau. We ate very well: the baby squid was delicious, the sea bream with vegetables excellent, and the raspberry cheesecake a great success. Breakfast was also plentiful and varied. Special mention to Benoît for his helpfulness, kindness, and professionalism, both at breakfast and during lunch and dinner service. The only slight drawback was a bit of a wait before our order was taken in the evening. Franck was very friendly but seemed a little overwhelmed, perhaps due to a lack of staff in the dining room (only two servers for the entire restaurant). It remains a very good restaurant that we highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food (wow, the pork cheek was amazing! 🤩), our grandson loved the excellent children's meal 😋, and the staff were kind and professional 👍🏻. We sincerely recommend this restaurant 😉

15/09/2026: Oh dear... unable to properly serve a simple hamburger and fries... the waitress, unwavering, said, "No need to make a fuss, we'll just reheat it"... when it came back from the kitchen, there were black bits of fried food... when we went to pay the bill, we mentioned the inconvenience of not being able to eat together because my dish had been sent back to the kitchen... the response: "It's not a big deal"... what shameful nonchalance from the entire staff of this establishment...
