28/04/2026: A very pleasant place with very friendly staff. However, given the simplicity of the dishes, one might expect better, especially the hard-boiled eggs in the Lyonnaise salad. And finally, the highlight of the meal: 16 euros for a 50cl bottle of Mâcon wine... I've honestly never seen anything like it, it's highway robbery. Putting that aside, it was okay, but nothing special.

28/03/2026: A fantastic bistro – a little removed from the hustle and bustle – where the homemade dishes are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. We thoroughly enjoyed a generous casserole of veal blanquette.

28/02/2026: I was supposed to be celebrating something that day. I went there with my friend at noon. The staff didn't speak a word of French... None of what we wanted was on the menu. No salmon, no langoustines, no fish at all. Beforehand, I had checked my own menu: the prices didn't match what was displayed in the restaurant. For example, they ordered four gratinated oysters, but there they only served three. We had to ask for one more. The mussels were frozen and barely edible. They were also so small we wondered where we'd get them. Again, the waiter lied, saying before we ordered that they would be enormous! My friend ordered a scallop carpaccio. There was one scallop, so small I thought it was just a garnish. To make up for it, they offered me a glass of wine (but not my friend). However, the bill was ENORMOUS. Over €165... And to think I'd been before and the first visit was great.

13/08/2026: What a wonderful discovery on Rue Pleney! We had a delightful time at this restaurant. The food is simply excellent and the portions are generous. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the pizza, with its mushrooms and cured meats, was a real treat. Everything was very tasty and served with a smile. We will definitely be back.

12/07/2026: I've eaten at this restaurant several times, and as for the food, there's not much to say. However, these days, being good isn't enough; service is important. I went there on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was almost empty, and I brought my little dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Out of respect, I sat outside, even though it was very hot, so as not to disturb the other diners inside. When ordering, I asked the waitress if I could have a small bowl of water, and she told me, "No, that's not possible. We don't have anything to put the water in." I should point out that 90% of their dishes are served in bowls. So I left, much to the astonishment of the owner, who didn't understand at all. This is truly an example of the worst that China does in terms of service. Absolutely no respect for the customer. Losing a customer isn't a big deal. Thankfully many other noodle restaurants are opening in Lyon, I will not return to this establishment with regret.

17/08/2026: I've been coming here for several years; teppanyaki remains a must-visit in Old Lyon for great food and a fun atmosphere, thanks to the chef and his wife. I highly recommend it, whether you're a couple or a group of friends.

Merci garcons, et a fevrier '27. Highly recommendable bistrot a Lyon. Just... go to Chez le Garcons for a good lunch
