08/12/2025: First time at this kebab shop with my friend this past Saturday at lunchtime. It looked very inviting and seemed pretty good at first. What a mistake... two days later we ended up with a terrible case of food poisoning. We couldn't get out of bed, had abdominal cramps from vomiting so much (I destroyed what I was using as a toilet), and were severely dehydrated, practically needing an ambulance. In short, avoid this place.

18/02/2026: There's always a problem with Yamato Uber, with waiting times being forgotten and cancellations at the last minute.

14/01/2026: It was cool in this very large dining room, however, I have good memories of the dishes served; the owner is experienced.

18/01/2026: The evening went extremely well. This is the third time we've booked a table at this bar on Thursdays before going to student nights, and whether there are 5 or 20 of us, we're always very well received. The waiter is friendly and patient, and the prices are the most affordable we've found in Lyon. The music selection is very tasteful, but not too loud, so we can still hear each other. We recommend it 100%, and plan to return as soon as possible.

22/02/2026: Well, after eating a taco (ground beef), I was sick for two days!!! The hygiene conditions need serious improvement!!!

31/12/2025: 6 euros for a "hot chocolate" that turned out to be cocoa powder diluted in milk, served in cardboard cups. And it was so diluted it was more white than brown. This is extremely disappointing for an ice cream parlor, especially considering the price.

31/12/2025: What is this inedible chocolate ice cream?? I took a teaspoon of ice cream and immediately spat it out! How can you make ice cream that bad? Even the worst store-bought ice cream at 15 cents for a 35-pack is better

26/02/2026: The traditional restaurant is situated in a beautiful setting, offering delicate cuisine without excessive frills. However, the service doesn't live up to the location, with a tendency towards aggressive sales tactics when ordering, followed by a certain inattentiveness, which unfortunately overshadows the quality of the food.

17/01/2026: The food was decent. The service was overly familiar and unprofessional (customers had to pass dishes around). The floor was extremely slippery, which didn't inspire confidence. The restrooms were in a deplorable state. I even saw a waiter come out without washing his hands... Apparently, vaping is allowed there…

03/12/2025: A small but friendly restaurant. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food is simple but appetizing. The restaurant was full on Monday at lunchtime. The set lunch menu is €25 on weekdays. Open 7 days a week.

31/01/2026: A restaurant we love to visit for lunch, not only for a break from work but especially for the warm welcome, the relaxing atmosphere, their daily specials—always delicious, (very) generous portions, made with seasonal, market-fresh ingredients—all at an excellent price (daily special, dessert, and coffee for €15.90). Located within the hotel, the restaurant is lovely, bathed in natural light from the veranda. A special mention goes to the team: Manon (with her smile and sense of humor), Anaïs (friendly and discreet), and the Head Chef, whose mastery of cooking both meat and fish we serve deserves a special mention, as does the generous portion size. This place has become our go-to spot, and we're not exactly picky eaters (Manon can attest to that) ;))

21/02/2026: Small neighborhood Japanese restaurant with a conveyor belt for collecting the different dishes, nice atmosphere

14/02/2026: Disappointment: very mediocre service (we booked an hour in advance… and couldn't remember), the waitress only came to take care of us after we'd been seated for 30 minutes, too little choice… chicken and fries isn't very Japanese, average quality, unlimited desserts: 4 flavors of industrial ice cream…

30/12/2025: My favorite place in Croix Rousse, it's delicious and they're so nice 🫶🏻
