25/02/2026: An excellent stay at the Hotel Restaurant La Taverne, located in a charming village well worth a visit. The quiet, renovated room was very comfortable. The decor throughout the establishment combines sophistication and simplicity, creating a premium atmosphere. The meal was enchanting in its quality, presentation, and variety of flavors. The welcome was warm yet discreet. A highly recommended establishment.

27/08/2025: A very charming tea room; stepping inside is like opening a little window into the past. Our grandmothers' china sits proudly on the shelves, and old photographs adorn the walls. The decor is a mix of mismatched tables and chairs, but you immediately feel welcome in this warm and inviting place. Everything is exquisite: the porcelain dishes, the chocolate cake, the hot chocolate with tonka bean… The hot chocolate is delicious, full of flavor without being cloying. The cake is also good and gluten-free. A delightful discovery for an afternoon treat in the heart of Mazamet.

The meal was magnificent, refined, and beautifully presented—a true delight. The welcome and service were top-notch, very warm, and attentive to the customer. I recommend it without hesitation. 05/03/2026: We went there for Valentine's Day, as they were exceptionally open in the evening. The menu was truly excellent, and the portions were perfect. The tables were beautifully decorated. However, the atmosphere was a little cold. This isn't a negative comment at all, just a simple observation. We had a lovely time and will definitely return. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. Although it's only open for lunch, I highly recommend it!

22/02/2026: The food was quite delicious, with meticulous presentation down to the smallest detail. The vegetables accompanying the salmon were delicate and perfectly seasoned. The service, both quick and friendly, contributed pleasantly to the experience. One area for improvement could be considered regarding the daily special: offering a vegetarian or egg/fish option, without red meat, would cater to a wider range of dietary needs. Finally, the prices seem relatively high considering the portion sizes; a dish consisting of a piece of salmon, a small side of vegetables, and a few spoonfuls of rice for €22 (see photo) gives an impression of disproportionate portions that could be adjusted.

06/03/2026: We came as a family and started with a delicious miso soup and a well-seasoned cabbage salad. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing: the raw fish was watery, and the gyozas were cold. Three out of the four of us were sick the next day. It's a shame, because the decor is lovely, and the person who served us was very helpful.

15/02/2026: My boyfriend and I wanted to eat at this restaurant last night for Valentine's Day. The service was slow, and we waited for a good twenty minutes hoping that someone would eventually look at us or give us some attention. Then, some customers arrived well after us and were given immediate attention, even though we were literally seated right in front of the counter, so close our feet were aching. As a result, we left without having been able to try the restaurant because we were simply ignored from beginning to end. This is unacceptable. I can understand that service might be busy for a holiday, but customer service is also part of the job. If you were overwhelmed, simply informing us would have been great, but I cannot tolerate such a lack of respect.

10/01/2026: Fantastic welcome, the owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The starter, main course, and dessert were all truly excellent. Fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
