31/01/2026: My mother came at lunchtime with her partner, so I'm posting this for her; here's her comment: The owners of Le Galette are very pleasant, and I thank them for welcoming us so late after the lunch service. My galette would have been very good if it had been hot; it was barely lukewarm. All the best!

17/01/2026: I've usually been very happy with the quality from time to time, even if it cost a few euros. But I'm sorry, but for €17, the flavors just weren't there, and the crust was incredibly thin. I'm very disappointed. The waitress must have been overwhelmed, but she was much less welcoming than before at this establishment, which is a real shame.

17/01/2026: Very average. I ordered a seafood pizza... It was advertised as having scallops, but they were actually queen scallops, which are completely different, and the seafood was still thawing on my pizza (there was water in it). It had no flavor whatsoever.

05/02/2026: I'm giving it 1/5 because it's located opposite the train station, so 1 point for being a real tourist trap. The room was gloomy, with a 1960s vibe, and a tiny bathroom where you can't even open the door all the way. The shower curtain took 20 minutes for the hot water to come on when you turned on the shower. Shower gel and shampoo were in small test sachets. The pillow was flat, very flat. By the window, there was a sign saying "Please do not leave your cigarette butts on the sill," which speaks volumes. I didn't want to open the window, even though I'm a smoker. As for breakfast, it was terrible. The breakfast room looked like a school cafeteria. The coffee was served in a coffee maker. Seriously, for €9.50, make an effort! Don't come here; stay at the Cit'Hotel Le Chêne Vert next door for the same price.

05/10/2025: It's impossible to comment on the rooms, but the service and meals are simple and perfectly cooked. Very reasonable prices, and the selection of dishes changes weekly. A restaurant that many should take inspiration from!

25/10/2024: Nous sommes allés à 2, manger le mardi 22 octobre 2025 et le jeudi 24 octobre 2025. Un menu à 13,50 entrée +plat+dessert : avec paté ( de grande surface) avec cornichons, l'autre entrée riz+salade+maîs est copieuse sans prétention, avec une présentation sûrement à revoir. Le plat : Steak haché congelé avec frites congelées (assiette correcte) L'autre plat dans le menu avec jambon cuit sans goût avec frites congelées assez bonnes. Dessert : 2 boules de glace de bonnes qualités ou 1 crêpe au sucre bonne faîte sur place. Le service est agréable. Le serveur m'indiquait que le steak haché n'était pas possible dans les restaurants même dans les grands restaurants. Le patron est sympa. Nous étions à côté d'une route passante. En conclusion, restaurant correct pour le prix et on avait du soleil.

12/01/2026: We received a spa pass and brunch as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised by the brunch; I was expecting a cold, English-style buffet, which isn't really my thing. I found the food very good, with a varied selection and everything served hot. The staff was excellent.

27/12/2025: A three-course lunch (starter and main) took 1 hour and 30 minutes, even though it wasn't particularly busy. Too long, especially since we were by the sea. We ordered fish, but only discovered via a sign that it came from Greece and Turkey – too late! We were expecting to enjoy some good seafood, being in the Vendée region, and were very disappointed by a restaurant in a 4-star hotel. 😔

14/12/2025: Fantastic starter with the signature oyster tartare and a superb main course with the scallops! The children shared the menu and thoroughly enjoyed it! Impeccable service!

11/11/2025: Ah, that sweetbread – delicious! Bravo! But a 20-minute wait just to get the menu and endless waits between courses shows that the sole waiter is completely overwhelmed… what a shame…

16/01/2026: Problem... From the outside, you'd think the place was closed... No lights, nothing... Well, today!!! We couldn't talk about your restaurant because we thought it was closed!!! So, it led us to discover a great bar right next door 😔😔. (We've been making lemonade for 40 years!) Light attracts mosquitoes 😉

08/11/2025: Virtually no wait, only 15 minutes for 7 people, fresh and generous portions, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere among both customers and staff. The owner is friendly and attentive to requests; I highly recommend this restaurant. P.S.: As a bonus, they offer containers for taking home leftovers.
