07/06/2026: Overall, it was good, although the mattress was worn out. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was quite varied: ham, cheese, raw and hard-boiled eggs, all kinds of bread, yogurt, and much more.

03/06/2026: Very nice, with pleasant staff.

07/09/2026: Extremely noisy in the dining room, and the staff made no effort to lower the volume (broken glasses, trays thrown on the floor, loud music). The food was uninteresting, the pizza was very greasy, and the dough was clearly mass-produced. For the price, it was a very mixed experience, and it will definitely be our last time. Furthermore, we were sick three hours after our meal (severe vomiting).

07/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome. It's a shame one of the waitresses wasn't very friendly. This comment was made at several tables.

03/09/2026: Excellent pizzas. We make a detour during our holidays every year for these pizzas.

29/08/2026: I never leave reviews, but unfortunately, I have to this time! The manager (I think) throws her phone on the till in front of the customers after speaking to them, then starts talking to her employees about how she speaks to them. When the employees tell her, "Are the two pizzas we ordered ready, chef?" she replies, raising her eyebrows in front of us (because it was our order), and says, "Uh, no, actually, ma'am, if you didn't want to work, stay home and don't be responsible!" And the calzone dough wasn't cooked. Anyway, avoid this place!

13/08/2026: Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended. Amazing view too, and delicious fish and dessert. Don't change a thing, keep up the good work.

19/08/2026: If you're looking for a cheerful atmosphere, you won't find it here... Rochebonne isn't what it used to be, the new owner is incredibly unpleasant!! Shameful!

18/08/2026: Avoid at all costs. The bar has changed a lot, which is a shame. The owner's comments and gestures are inappropriate (perverted).

23/08/2026: The quality has dropped significantly, which is a shame. The galettes are bad, very small and extremely dry… It made us leave for dessert.

21/08/2026: Back on holiday in Les Sables, we returned to the crêperie Le Surf. Over the years, we've noticed a decline in service and that the cocktails on the menu are very disappointing, with very little flavor and a watery taste, especially the mojito and spritz, which are particularly bland. The savory buckwheat crepes and sweet crepes, however, remain decent.

06/09/2026: We ate at the restaurant before the Cinéscénie show. The "reservation" menu was comprehensive and of good quality. A vegetarian option was available, which was a great bonus. The welcome and service were perfect; the staff were very pleasant, smiling, attentive, and helpful. Thank you to them, as this greatly contributed to the wonderful experience we had!

05/09/2026: Despite arriving at 1:30 pm on September 5th, after the summer rush, the staff were smiling, patient, and attentive (thank you to Mayol). The food was served very quickly and hot. The beef was perfect, and the andouillette sausage was excellent. Good value for money. The interior is nicely decorated, and the ambiance/theme is well-executed.

01/09/2026: Honestly, having lived in southern Vendée for 12 years, this is the only McDonald's that never, and I mean never, gets orders wrong. The ones in Les Herbiers, La Roche-sur-Yon, etc., are a joke. I only go to the one in Luçon now. Thank you.

29/08/2026: I absolutely do not recommend this place. The cheese fries? The box wasn't even half full, plus the cheese was runny like mayo. The juice was incredibly sweet with sugary bits in it, the burger was cold, and the trash was overflowing everywhere. Horrible, avoid at all costs. I didn't even eat everything. The table was disgusting and sticky.

25/08/2025: Unpleasant person, a terrace with tables but without chairs, we were only 3 people and there were only 2 people in the restaurant, so how can we say that there were chairs and in number, but let's say there were 3 chairs outside, 2 of which were used by the waitress or the restaurant owner's wife and one in a corner, how can we say that for August 15th and after 3 hours of searching for food, 30 minutes of walking, to have such a welcome is incredible, I couldn't tell you the taste of their product, my partner ate but I didn't, out of the question to participate in such a money-making meal

22/08/2025: Sushi Order We're not hotel guests but ordered sushi tonight for the first time. Very friendly staff on the phone and at reception, very good sushi, and the chef even gave us a little extra and all the necessary side dishes (sauces, salad, chopsticks)! We'll definitely be back.

13/08/2026: The owners were very welcoming, and the waitresses and waitresses were excellent. The coffee was good, and you could buy pastries from the covered market or elsewhere. A special mention for the non-alcoholic Mojito, which was superb. They also had Magnum-style ice cream! You can even get freshly made crepes. Very good value for money.

09/08/2026: Great bar. The waiter (a young man with shoulder-length hair) was super friendly. Very pleasant young man, highly recommend!

23/08/2026: I was very disappointed by this restaurant. First of all, the welcome was very cold, the wait was long, the pizzas were frozen, the mussels were served cold, without even a large spoon to scoop up the sauce, and the desserts were very pasty. I will never go back. And on top of that, the bill was exorbitant.

18/07/2026: A very warm welcome, a peaceful setting near the forest and the marsh. Refined and generous cuisine. I would gladly return. Thank you for a wonderful time.

21/03/2026: Excellent restaurant! The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is fantastic and very friendly, and the dishes are delicious and generous. We will gladly return!

23/04/2026: Excellent stay at this campsite. Perfect welcome on the first day, quick and efficient maintenance to fix the minor issues with the mobile home (it was the start of the season!). Very good value for money, friendly and energetic entertainment staff. Special mention for Sullivan who really brought the nighttime pétanque tournament to life 😁😉 and the evening show, which, for its first of the season, was a complete success!! Just to nitpick, the campsite has a cinema, but it's not just for kids!!!

22/04/2026: Hello, we've been at the campsite for four days now, as of April 22, 2026. There are seven of us, and we're very disappointed with the atmosphere. If your children are over 12 or 13, forget it. Even though it's the off-season, which I understand, for the past four days the restaurant has been closed at 9 pm, the stage is empty, and the lights are off... the water slides in the pool are closed in the middle of the afternoon without any explanation. As for daily activities, the pétanque courts are fine. The inflatable games are okay, but the major downside is the "teenagers"—if you can even call them teenagers and not idiots—who climb right to the top and do everything they can to make a splash... well, they succeeded. The result: firefighters and police called on April 21st for an accident. The only positive point in the entertainment was the host, who made a very good impression during the pétanque tournament with his enthusiasm and professionalism. Okay, let's get straight to the point: so far, some things were funny, some not so funny... First night in the mobile home, from Saturday to Sunday, around 3:30 a.m., a rooster started crowing from 3:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Anyway, I didn't say anything... I let it go. Second night, the same thing, 3:45 am... I decided to go to the campsite reception to let them know, and they simply told me there was nothing they could do... I love animals and nature, but still, they could at least have some compassion for their guests... anyway. Oh yes, I forgot to mention the heated pools (the air, but not the water).

28/08/2026: A very pleasant surprise... we went there this summer... the restaurant was packed but they found us a small table... super friendly staff, excellent food, from the seafood sauerkraut to the carpaccio and the salmon platter... A very nice surprise

28/08/2026: Mixed feelings. The terrace was pleasant and covered. When ordering, we requested a dish without salad, which arrived with it. The dish and fries weren't hot. The burger was good but rather dry, which was a shame.

03/08/2026: The food was truly disappointing. The pizza dough was extremely hard, almost crunchy like toast, and the smoked ham was far too salty. As for the salmon salad, it was very basic and contained only three small pieces of salmon. While the salad was certainly simple, the main problem was the price: €15 for such a meager salad is clearly excessive. We were therefore quite disappointed with the value for money, and this ultimately spoiled our entire experience.
