19/08/2026: How can you ask a person in a wheelchair to bring a walker without even knowing about their disability? How can you ask them to stay on the terrace so as not to "upset" a child? Yet that's how we were greeted at La Nouvelle Auberge, as soon as we walked through the bar door. My partner, who has been paraplegic for over 20 years, felt deeply disrespected and belittled. The owner made it very clear that his presence in a wheelchair inside the establishment bothered her. In 2026, how can anyone still speak to a person with a disability in such a way? Disability should never be a source of discomfort or a reason for exclusion. A person in a wheelchair is a customer like any other and deserves to be welcomed with respect, dignity, and kindness. We refuse to remain silent in the face of such hurtful and inappropriate remarks. Social media now gives us the opportunity to bear witness, raise awareness, and make our voices heard. Madam, welcoming guests to an establishment like yours means welcoming all your customers, without distinction or humiliation. We sincerely hope that no other person with a disability will ever have to experience what my partner has just endured.

09/08/2026: A terrible place. Unwelcoming, you immediately feel like you're intruding. I absolutely do not recommend it. The owner shouldn't be running this place if she doesn't know how to treat customers properly. Disdainful, a very bad experience.

27/06/2026: A great little Tex-Mex restaurant. The dishes are named accurately and you get your money's worth. The portions are generous (we opted for the Fiesta Laredo and weren't disappointed, both in terms of quality and quantity). The pasta dishes chosen by other members of our table were also a hit. Despite a large number of tables for a weekday lunchtime, the service was quick and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which was much appreciated. It's a shame it's closing permanently tonight. We came to enjoy it one last time at lunchtime, and it was definitely worth the money; the service was, as always, excellent.

17/07/2026: I always go to this bakery or the one in La Chaume, which is excellent. But yesterday I bought what was sold to me as rum babas, but I was looking for the rum—there was no rum in it. I had bought some in La Chaume that were excellent, with a real rum flavor, but I was disappointed. At €9 and change, I was a bit let down. After that, I bought a burger, which was excellent, as well as a ham and butter sandwich—too much butter in it—and some wraps. They looked big, but they were small, with a lot of salad and not much sauce. I don't know what happened that day, but it wasn't great.

05/07/2026: We had lunch there throughout our entire week-long vacation. I highly recommend it, and the staff are fantastic and incredibly friendly.

12/08/2026: A bit disappointed... Whether on the phone or at the entrance, we found the staff not very friendly. The same wasn't true inside. In addition to the entrance fee, the sun lounger costs €6. No one mentioned this to us at the entrance. So, you end up with your towel on the ground around the pool in a very small area. Meh... We didn't stay long. PS: This isn't a pool for having fun; it's more for swimming laps.

23/08/2026: This hotel is aging very poorly, far from the 4-star rating advertised on the website. The room (bathroom and terrace) was noisy and poorly furnished, not worthy of a 4-star establishment. The meal was disappointing for a bill of €100. The spa is supposedly included in the room, but the sauna was out of order, the aerated showers were only available by reservation, and to top it all off, access to the pool was impossible at 6 pm because it was reserved for a private event. And to top it all off, without any prior warning, swim shorts are forbidden and a swim cap is mandatory… conveniently, these are the first items for sale in the shop. In short, the spa is included as a lure, but only if it's working and, above all, if you have the necessary equipment. Before your stay, you receive four emails to book additional treatments, but not those for the swim cap and swimsuit. In short, avoid this place at all costs; for almost €800 for 3 nights, it's shameful. Disappointing after an 8-hour journey. RUN AWAY

03/09/2026: A very pleasant stay at this hotel outside of school holidays. Excellent location amidst pine trees and close to the beach. The marine spa is available without necessarily booking a Thalassotherapy package. The golf course is also nearby. The staff is very friendly, professional, welcoming, and always smiling. Don't be put off by the few negative reviews. Call if needed and trust them. I would gladly return if the opportunity arose.

03/09/2026: A restaurant nestled within a beautiful, chic hotel, whose elegance isn't immediately apparent. We received a very warm welcome from a friendly, dynamic, and attentive team. The service is pleasant, even if its quality doesn't quite match the excellence of the cuisine. Because on the plate, the level is truly remarkable: refined dishes, perfectly executed and of exceptional quality. Special mention goes to the desserts, created by pastry chef Maurice de Challans, which perfectly complement the experience. A truly wonderful place, where the cuisine is definitely worth the detour.
