13/04/2026: Having frequented this type of restaurant for work, it's a real shame that the restaurant doesn't live up to the hotel's standards. The restaurant business is a true profession requiring skill and knowledge, which this restaurant clearly lacks. It's not enough to boast about having fresh produce (which I doubt); you have to know how to serve and cook it properly. This establishment should be avoided.

03/03/2026: To be honest, I wasn't at all keen on having dinner at this Asian takeout place!... My wife insisted... and she was absolutely right!... Shrimp wonton soup Friedrich rice Pineapple fritters ... EXCELLENT! ...and very reasonably priced! Highly recommended!

19/05/2026: A complete disaster. The scallops in the salad (which wasn't washed properly) were plasticky, the main courses were mediocre, and the desserts... well, they were awful. It was far too crowded. The owner was overwhelmed, and the young man assisting her was completely untrained, so the poor guy was floundering. In short, we might have just had bad luck... it happens... but it was a real disaster!

15/05/2026: A very unpleasant and dangerous experience, as we found a large piece of glass in a buckwheat crepe. The other crepes weren't very tasty either. Hygiene and service are questionable.

13/05/2026: A few years ago, this was a truly wonderful place. Today, it's clear they've lost their way and don't know how to retain their clientele. There's no consistency in their menu. I think they're completely off track with their culinary approach. Go back to good, healthy, classic food. It's a shame they don't restore the waterwheels.

11/05/2026: Excellent cuisine featuring local produce in a stunning garden and river setting. Good wine selection, particularly Chablis. A very good lunch.

05/05/2026: No service, we had to get our drinks from the bar...😅 Most of the photos are optional... Much less choice than advertised... It was okay, we ate well, but disappointed by the limited selection.

12/10/2025: A great restaurant, where the food is good and where the owner is just great, welcoming and kind to his customers, professional. Go there, it's worth the detour, superb pizzas made in a wood-fired oven and a magnificent setting. Thanks to the manager. I would say the best pizza in Auxerre without any hesitation. 15/02/2026: Valentine's Day meal here to try dining in. The welcome was quite friendly and inviting, but from the very first moment we were seated by the window, and with only two heaters for the main room, we quickly realized we were going to be cold, and that's exactly what happened. The scallop salad and the assortment of steamed baskets were truly uninteresting. There was only one scallop in a salad swimming in oil, and the steamed baskets were very thick and unseasoned. The main course, however, was worthwhile: the grilled seafood, cashew chicken with Cantonese rice, and stir-fried noodles were truly excellent. For dessert, however, another big disappointment: the steamed coconut ball was tasteless and had very little filling. The ice cream sundae was generous, though, to compensate. The service was a bit slow, but we had a pleasant time. The price, however, remains high considering the quality of the food. Disappointed with the dine-in option and we recommend sticking to takeaway for occasional emergencies.

14/05/2026: I bought 3 American chicken pizzas, very good, a delight! The delivery driver was friendly and kind, the best delivery driver I've ever seen at Aladin Pizza.

18/02/2026: On Thursday, February 6th, 2026, I ordered a chicken zap and at 4:30 am I became incredibly sick, vomiting terribly. I couldn't keep anything down, and as soon as I ate something else, it went away. I think it was food poisoning, that's all. It lasted until Saturday night. 😡😡😡😡

28/04/2026: It has to be said that this picturesque place, Vézelay, is a bit run-down. The state of the streets isn't great! Many of the houses and shops are unoccupied and in a state of disrepair! You can tell you're in the last century, the era of Vidocq or stagecoaches! I visited this little town during a trip to Auxerre, so I stopped in Vézelay, which had been a long-held plan. The basilica was under renovation at the time! I didn't visit the inn, so I can't comment on that.

20/04/2026: I didn't use the hotel's services, just the restaurant. I enjoyed the food (including the vegetarian options), however, two shortcomings in the service at our table concerned me. The staff remained courteous and apologized, but offered no compensation.
