09/04/2026: On the Mirepoix bypass on the D119, with parking all along the avenue and in front of the Brasserie du Rumat, Christelle and Jean-Philippe welcome you to their friendly restaurant and bar. Set menus are available weekdays at lunchtime and on weekends starting from €16.50, including a drink and a portion of food. Closed on Sundays, except for reservations or club groups. Enjoy the pleasant terrace and dining room. Homemade cuisine prepared daily. Located near a motorhome parking area. Recommended by the Routard travel guide for motorhome and motorcycle enthusiasts.

17/04/2026: Restaurant closed since February 2026. There was no information about it on Google, their website, or Facebook. We made the trip for nothing. Finally, when we tried to call to find out why no one was there, the person who answered said it was closed...

02/01/2026: A little gem! We wanted to introduce our 12-year-old son to refined and delicious cuisine. The place is very charming, the service impeccable, and the food as beautiful to look at as it is to taste. I highly recommend it.

24/04/2026: In the Pamiers shopping area, we stopped at the second Don Camillo, run by Djani and his team, in a superb and beautifully decorated restaurant. The service is smooth and efficient, and the quality of the cuisine, like in Foix, is refined and generous. It's advisable to reserve a table on the terrace; there's a large dining room for groups. Recommended by the Routard travel guide team for campervan and motorcyclist enthusiasts.

16/03/2026: Despite the stairs for three floors (especially when returning from a night out), we had a very pleasant stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We slept well, and the breakfast kept us going during our mountain excursions.

12/05/2026: The staff is friendly and welcoming. It's open in the evenings from 7-8:30 PM. You can shower, and the facilities are clean and ready to be returned.

08/05/2026: Second visit in two years… and definitely the last. I didn't think it was possible to do worse, but they've managed it. The food is unworthy of a roadside diner: tasteless dishes, poorly executed, and frankly difficult to finish. It feels like everything is done with absolutely no regard for quality or respect for the customer. If that's the case, then they might as well stop now. But the worst part is the establishment itself: a persistent, very strong odor, strongly reminiscent of cat litter. It's hard to talk about enjoyment under these conditions. I don't know who's in charge now, but there's a real problem. At this point, it's no longer a misstep but an alarming overall level of decline. They need to take immediate action. The waiter is doing what's necessary to salvage the disaster in the kitchen.

26/12/2025: This is just my opinion, and as always, form your own opinion and experience. Passing through Ariège to visit wool artisans and find horn combs (tricky, right?), I was hungry, and I love "old-fashioned" restaurants, not those trendy, overpriced tapas places where you end up with nothing to eat. "Chez Ginette" is old-fashioned! Very old-fashioned, in fact! The delicious soup is free, the portions are generous, and the decor is authentic. It's definitely not for the pretentious, unless you're looking for a more open-minded, village-like atmosphere! As a bonus, the people are friendly and chatty. If you're outgoing too, you might even get some boozy treats, in moderation! It's the kind of place we love, where you feel like a kid again if your parents took you there, where you step back in time to better times, as we often hear these days...

30/04/2026: Impeccable welcome. The quality of service is excellent. The hotel is located right in the center of Foix. Although there are a few paid parking spaces in front of the hotel, it's quite easy to find free parking within a 5-minute walk. I recommend it.

16/04/2026: Trekking along the Cathar trails, we reached the end of our hike and spent the night at the Hotel Lons. A warm and friendly welcome; the hotel has retained its character and is a blend of old and new – I loved it! I highly recommend it.
