28/05/2026: An exceptional restaurant, from the service and welcome to the simple yet delicious and well-prepared dishes. Excellent value for money. The staff are exceptionally kind and professional. Dogs are welcome (we have two Chihuahuas 😉). Accessible for people with reduced mobility.

28/06/2026: We came on a Saturday night for a good friend's bachelor party! We played three hours of blackjack with Olivier, who is a real croupier! It almost felt like we were watching a show… We had a great time! We'll be back for the second wedding!

15/07/2026: A nice mountain restaurant with simple but well-prepared dishes. I recommend the beef tataki, which is perfectly seasoned and melts in your mouth, as well as the profiteroles for dessert (for those with a sweet tooth, as it's a generous combination). The chocolate mousse is good but quite sweet. The service was excellent. The square with the fountain is pleasant. Continuous service makes it perfect for a stopover while driving!

13/07/2026: A brasserie with basic cuisine is fine in a pinch, but don't expect a good meal. The service is ultra-fast and very friendly; it's a brasserie to stop by for a drink and an ice cream, but not for a proper meal.

07/06/2026: Everything went very well, we made a reservation of course 😅. We ordered a fondue for two, a tartiflette from Ariège, and a butcher's cut. Everything was excellent, the atmosphere was friendly, the owner was funny, and the prices weren't excessive considering the portions. We'll definitely be back this summer.

The ingredients were fresh, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The setting is magnificent, and it's no wonder people say it's the best restaurant in Ariège. I recommend it 100%! 29/06/2026: We came here for lunch. The service was decent and quick, and the decor was nice. However, the food was school cafeteria quality. We ordered a plate of pasta carbonara at this Italian restaurant, and it was a complete disaster. The pasta was swimming in cheap cream and served with processed bacon bits. The quality of the ingredients really needs improvement. I didn't finish my plate. I've never eaten anything so bad and of such poor quality in a restaurant. I feel like I threw my money away. Avoid this place.

17/04/2026: Restaurant closed since February 2026. There was no information about it on Google, their website, or Facebook. We made the trip for nothing. Finally, when we tried to call to find out why no one was there, the person who answered said it was closed...

02/01/2026: A little gem! We wanted to introduce our 12-year-old son to refined and delicious cuisine. The place is very charming, the service impeccable, and the food as beautiful to look at as it is to taste. I highly recommend it.

18/07/2026: It's always a pleasure to stop by Le Vieu Carré. The food is consistently excellent, with fast and friendly service. When it's hot, I highly recommend the salads, which are excellent, and the goat cheese salad is even quite original—you can eat the whole plate! I'll definitely be back...

16/03/2026: Despite the stairs for three floors (especially when returning from a night out), we had a very pleasant stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We slept well, and the breakfast kept us going during our mountain excursions.
