16/07/2026: Impeccable, nothing to complain about, excellent cuisine, perfect wait time. The food is very good, I highly recommend it if you don't know where to stop for lunch.

15/07/2026: It was very good. I had the €18 set menu, which was excellent. I discovered the Lumo pork cooked on the griddle; the cooking was perfectly executed, not dry at all, very tender. My only slight complaint, but that's a matter of personal taste, was that there weren't enough fries for my liking. Otherwise, the service was quick and friendly, and above all, it was the only restaurant with a terrace where there was fresh air, which was very welcome. I recommend this place if you're passing through Ax.

07/06/2026: Amazing place and hosts, such lovely people. After travelling through the Pyrenees for two weeks, we finally felt like we ate proper, good French food. It was trully excellent, best meal we had all trip. We hope to come back here one day and regret staying in Aulus-les-bains instead of here. If you are planning to explore the area, I would definitely recommend this hotel as your base. Or also just for a one night stop or to eat. We also saw an otter swim as we sat at our table overlooking the river. The owners can tell you all kinds of amazing things about the region and they are happy to have a chat with you which is great if you're looking for things to do

07/06/2026: We arrived unexpectedly on a Saturday evening, June 6th, 2026, at 8 pm, with 11 people. We received a wonderfully warm welcome. The meat was perfect, the cassoulet perfect, the foie gras perfect, and the presentation of the meat before cooking was exquisite. I highly recommend this restaurant.

20/07/2026: Traditional cuisine 😂 yes of course, pizza and mussels, very traditional Ariège 09! What a shame for such a pretty medieval village. If you don't like real criticism, you don't open a restaurant 🤣 But given the number of customers you have, it all makes sense. Good luck, local worker 😂

01/06/2026: I've been participating in the transhumance in the beautiful village of Saint-Lary for three years now, and I've stayed at this hotel for three years. The welcome is very warm and the room is more than adequate. The restaurant is very good, quick, and efficient. David

30/05/2026: We stayed at the l’Isard hotel during a bike tour through the Pyrenees. After a long stage of 112km and 200m of elevation gain we arrived at the hotel and were welcomed by Florence. A very kind woman who adapted to our demands, especially during dinner! We were hungry!! Very nice place, next to a river where we cooled off, in a very beautiful village ☺️

17/05/2026: A single set menu for €17: a buffet of starters, main course, dessert, and a quarter-liter of wine. Plenty of choice, perfectly acceptable quality, and generous portions. No separate menu for children. Not a big deal, really, given the price. Except when you ask to swap the wine for another drink and are told they'll get... a carafe of water 🤣 A splash of grenadine would have been fine... Oh well!

17/03/2026: Excellent restaurant, we've never been disappointed. The local cuisine is delicious, the service is impeccable, you feel like you're part of the family.

20/04/2026: I'm giving it 5 stars to be above the reviews. But otherwise, avoid it! It's too expensive, the portions are too small, and on top of that, it's all frozen food. Seriously, €3 for an iced tea, €25 for a set menu that's the size of a small starter. Seriously, avoid it!

09/04/2026: Well-located restaurant, very good value for money, succulent flank steak and delicious desserts. Only my dish was too salty (guinea fowl in crayfish sauce). Service OK, a good place to eat. (We don't know about the hotel)

04/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome and the staff were very professional. The hotel is very clean, and we appreciated the half-board option with its generous meals and breakfast, which were pleasantly served by both the owner and the waitress.

18/05/2026: When we go to Ariège, we always have a meal at La Grillade. The owners are great! A varied selection! Good quality. Reasonable prices! I recommend it! Alain from Cannes.

01/05/2026: We arrived at 2:15 pm. It was open, with lots of people eating and plenty of empty seats, but they wouldn't let us order any food or drinks, not even a bottle of water. They said it was because of the time, but I think it's because Spaniards/Andorrans aren't welcome.

12/04/2026: A great spot for lunch/coffee or beer break mid ski day. Friendly staff great Plat du Jour options and good prices.

27/03/2026: Mountain restaurant with a self-service area offering several menus. Nice and not too expensive. There were two of us.

05/07/2026: The young lady was very friendly, except she used her finger to remove the foam from my beer glass. Luckily, the beer contains alcohol and disinfects. A small beer and a double cost €10.50. Well located, near the river and the church.
