02/02/2026: We went to Adey Adeba to discover Ethiopian cuisine, and it was a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We chose the vegetarian Beyaynetou, a remarkable discovery, bursting with flavor. The restaurant is unique and immediately immerses you in the Ethiopian atmosphere thanks to its decor, music, presentation of the dishes, and of course, its authentic tastes. Special mention goes to the menu, which touches on the history of Ethiopia and also includes a small French-Ethiopian glossary, allowing you to learn a few words—a thoughtful touch that is both fun and enriching. The manager and her server are extremely friendly, welcoming, and passionate. They genuinely enjoy sharing their culture and cuisine, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant!

28/02/2026: We arrived here without a reservation with a group of seven and were able to get in. We enjoyed delicious pizzas. One person didn't order pizza, but fries. Their dish arrived a good five minutes before the pizzas. A tip would be to serve the fries, which are ready in no time, at the same time as the pizzas. Everything tasted delicious, the service was very friendly and welcoming, and they make every effort to understand your needs. The After Eight coupe is a must-try for dessert. It was delicious and highly recommended!

01/03/2026: During our quest to discover Rouen's couscous restaurants, my friend Philippe and I stumbled upon Le Machacha. Reservations were easy for lunch, and the welcome was warm. There's parking nearby, the dining room is airy, and we had plenty of space, peace, and privacy to chat. The couscous was delicious and plentiful. It was one of the best couscous dishes in Rouen—light and creamy. It was hard to follow such a generous portion with dessert. We'll have to try it next time! Because we'll definitely be back!

26/02/2026: Honestly, the service was incredibly fast, the quality was amazing, and I loved the flavors. I ordered the rice in broth (it was to die for), the chicken (incredibly good), the yassa sauce (magnificent), and the side dish with tomatoes (even that was delicious). And the chili: I love a bit of heat, and this was seriously hot, I almost cried 😂 but I loved it. P.S.: Even the ginger candy that came with the dish was excellent XD

08/02/2026: I am an American wandering the streets of Paris. One of the interesting things I discovered, which shouldn't be a surprise, but Paris has ethnic neighborhoods (again, just like every other big city). As I was wandering I started to notice quite a few African-themed restaurants. Obviously France did more than their share of colonization, including Africa, so this shouldn't be a surprise. ANYWAY. I have not had a lot of exposure of African cuisine and I figured I might as well stop and have something. So I stopped at Osé African Cuisine. I would classify Osé as a fast-casual restaurant. A number of bowl options (including S/M/L options) and some sides. I only needed a snack, so I ordered the Alloko, which are basically plantain fries. They are very good. Kind of blackened and carmalizes. And they came with 3 dipping sauces. Red, green, and yellow. Just understand that yellow is the HOT one. I'm not scurred of hot sauces in general. The yellow is delicious, but legit hot. Nose running hot. Green and red are good, but I kept on going back to the yellow and punishing myself. Anyhoo. Give African cuisine a try. And if you're around Osé, give them a shot.

12/02/2026: A charming, slightly old-fashioned shop, but with all the best regional products, especially the anchovies, which are as delicious as ever and generally reasonably priced for this level of quality. The welcome is particularly friendly, and you can always sample the anchovies on the first floor. A sure bet.
