18/05/2026: The McDonald's in Bapaume is just as bad as ever and lives up to its reputation... Having lived in Deville for many years, I used to go there very regularly when it first opened... in the beginning... there were always problems with the order... a fry was missing, the sauce wasn't right, the burger wasn't the right one... mistakes with the drinks... missing orders... in short, always something that made you come back to complain. Today I went back and ordered a Royal Deluxe without tomato, simply because I prefer it without. Curiosity led me to open my burger, and there I found a slice of tomato! Imagine if I had been allergic to tomato and had bitten into the burger... I eat at McDonald's restaurants in the area quite regularly... I'm not saying there are never any mistakes, but this one is truly the worst in the region. The reputation I had in mind is still confirmed today... I see that 20 years after its opening... The problems are always the same. The staff were very friendly, but that's not everything.

15/05/2026: Avoid this drive-thru at all costs!!! We've ordered from the drive-thru several times now, and it's always incredibly slow. Each time, a burger is missing from the order, or it's not what we ordered. Everything is cold (I don't check the bag, so we only realize it when we get home). It's unacceptable not to eat what I paid for!!! I'm forced to give it one star to post my review, but it doesn't deserve it.

31/05/2026: I advise against going on match days when large crowds gather. Numerous firecrackers are thrown at people sitting on the terraces without any intervention from the police stationed right behind them.

28/05/2026: The rooms with sea views are truly lovely; I fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. You do have to be prepared to climb a very long flight of stairs from the street, and then another flight or two. But the hotel has a lot of charm. The €10 breakfast is ordinary but adequate, with very friendly staff. The restaurant, however, is another story. It has a beautiful sea view, which is nice. But the prices are high for average quality. And above all, in our case, the service was interminable... an hour between the starter and the main courses... an extra glass of wine that finally arrived when we had finished everything... (with a "you're welcome," seemingly to teach me some manners after my failure to say thank you!). It was very annoying, a shame. We obviously decided against having dessert for fear of being stuck there even longer.

16/05/2026: Television with only one working channel, no hand soap, only one power outlet in the room, breakfast at €10 per person with very limited choices… Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Only the view from the room is decent. The reception also needs improvement…

03/05/2026: I'm a regular customer of Couleur Café and a self-confessed coffee addict. I buy my coffee there, but I also come every week to have coffee with friends. We always joke about it, saying, "Well, they're not exactly known for their excellent service, but at least the coffee is good." However, this will be the last time, and I'm very disappointed to have to write a negative review. This morning, as is often the case, I sat on the terrace with a friend. After 15 minutes, we figured they were probably overwhelmed, so I went inside to order (which was no problem for me). I was greeted in a way that was more than irritating. The man, who seemed to be bothering me simply by being there, said, "Well, there's going to be a wait, you know. I have the shop and orders to take care of," as if he'd prefer I wasn't there. I politely replied, "Yes, yes, no problem." As I rested outside, I thought to myself that I was still unhappy to be spoken to so rudely when I hadn't done anything wrong, just ordered a coffee in a café—nothing too crazy. So my friend and I decided to go somewhere else. Out of courtesy, I wanted to let the man know so he wouldn't make coffees unnecessarily, so I went back upstairs. He had his back to me, making coffees. I said, "Excuse me, sir," and without turning around or even acknowledging who I was, he replied in the curtest and most contemptuous tone, "Well, I don't have time right now!" Shocked, I left. I won't lie, a rather inelegant "What an asshole!" escaped my lips as I left the café, and the little old lady who was queuing behind me called out, "I agree, I'm leaving too." I don't see why you feel entitled to be so rude to customers, especially when they are so polite and patient. A simple "I'll be with you in two minutes" would have sufficed. It was clearly the last time I set foot in there, and I'm very sorry because I've been buying my coffee and tea here for years, but you can't take advantage; people aren't animals. And no, it wasn't an exceptional situation. Best of luck, and please take better care of your customers.
