20/07/2026: I had read the reviews, though... I thought the negative ones came from chronically dissatisfied customers and that the restaurant didn't deserve such bad ratings. How wrong I was! I never post negative reviews, but I want to prevent others from having the same experience. Arriving two and a half hours before closing time, we were hastily seated by waiters whose professionalism left much to be desired. But to be fair, it was a sweltering evening during school holidays; perhaps they'd had a long day. Our aperitifs took over 30 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was serving fewer than 10 tables. Having been warned that the service was sometimes slow, we had ordered our appetizers, wine, and main course at the same time as the aperitifs. As we sipped our aperitifs, which had arrived lukewarm and with all the ice melted, we saw the waiter return: the kitchen had lost our order! Considering that this can happen, we reordered (starters and main courses) with a smile. Thirty minutes later, a good hour after the first order, there were still no main courses or wine. A waiter came to us with the starters...from another table! We refused them and reordered. The starters arrived more than an hour after our initial order. No wine. No bread. We asked for the wine and started our meal. The starters were decent, nothing special, but generous portions. Behind us, a customer was served a whole, magnificent crab, not cut in half, with NOTHING to eat it with. No utensils. It would be hilarious if it weren't so sad. After speaking with the waiter, he didn't bring any utensils but took the crab back to the kitchen. The wine arrived after the starters were finished. One unopened bottle, still sealed, and two glasses for three people. The waiter, glancing at the table, noticed we needed a third glass. We agreed, and he said he'd get it. Ten minutes later, we also noticed the corkscrew was missing. We asked for it along with the third glass, which was still missing. Next to us, two foreign tourists waited 30 minutes for their orders to be taken, then nearly an hour for six oysters. The waiters? They were chatting or smoking cigarettes during that time. After two hours, tired of waiting and sensing things were only going to get worse, we decided to leave, paying for what we had ordered. This was the first time in our lives this had ever happened to us, and yet we've eaten in all kinds of restaurants, with varying levels of service. The exchange at the counter when we paid was perfectly polite. We're still waiting for the third glass and the corkscrew! The food was decent from what we could see, although the hot and cold food service seemed questionable, which is worrying in a seafood restaurant. Trust the negative reviews. I imagine you can get lucky on a good day, but be warned, if you get unlucky, you'll get really, really unlucky. NB: Some reviews mention dismissive service; we didn't experience that. The servers were efficient but polite. However, it's very clear that no one in the dining room cares about the customers.

09/05/2026: Unbearable! Every delivery is consistently missing items! I don't even get refunds anymore because I must look like a thief to customer service. It's getting more and more expensive while the competition does better. Come on, McDonald's, it's not what it used to be... goodbye.

08/05/2026: As usual, and just like three weeks ago, an item was missing, plus the prize for the trip—which, of course, is what we came for, the promotion, you know? Anyway, imagine my son's face, without his prize or his cake. "McDonald's sucks," he told me. Then try calling the number on the receipt; they don't even bother answering. I regularly shop at Carrefour. See you soon, McThief. And don't expect any sympathy, a smile, or an apology; it'll probably be my fault.

25/05/2026: The best churros and panisse. I come all the way from the Ardèche region, and I stop here whenever I can. This weekend, between the Corsu Mezu Mezu concert and ending up with the churros and panisse, it was the best.

04/05/2026: We came straight to L'ecaillerie for lunch when we got off the plane to Marsielle and what a fantastic way to start our trip in the city! We had some fantastic house white wine which accompanied the tastiest seafood. We got the oysters and the prawn tartare and the fries to share. The prawn tartare with the prawn head oil was my favourite and my little tip would be to save the bread to mop up the sauce... incredible!! I also love when youre sat outside you can see everything picking their fruit and vegetables at the green grocers next door- so cute! Thank you so much for such a fabulous start to our trip and the tastiest food and great service!

The clams were served with an exceptional sauce, and the octopus was fresh, accompanied by perfectly cooked vegetables. I highly recommend this place!

18/07/2026: Home-style cooking, fresh, delicious, homemade products. Located on a shaded street near the old port. Nicole, the owner, is always smiling and very welcoming. Worth a visit.

05/07/2026: Excellent restaurant! Very warm welcome, the staff are truly lovely. I had the mussels and fries with cream and garlic: the best I've ever had! My husband chose the seafood pasta, and for him too, it was the best. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend it!

05/07/2026: An authentic and welcoming spot in Marseille! All the waitresses are extremely kind and attentive, the portions are generous, and the ingredients are fresh. Many vegetarian options are available on the menu.
