19/09/2026: The gnocchi were very good, though I was quite disappointed that there was no appetizer to share and no cheese option (which is a shame since I don't like sweets). Otherwise, the staff were friendly and we ate well. After all, we're in the Old Port area; those who complain about the noise should go somewhere else.

19/09/2026: The food was good, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. We ordered three plates of jamón, one plate of olives, a cheese plate, and I also ordered a full menu for myself. Despite this, the waiter, a bald man with glasses, told us in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner that we were “supposed to order three main courses.” Toward the end of the evening, we were tired and wanted to go home, so we asked to pay and leave before my dessert arrived. Instead of simply letting us settle the bill, the waiter insisted that we could not leave until the dessert had arrived. It made us feel like we were being held hostage over a dessert we no longer wanted to wait for. The whole interaction was completely unnecessary and made an already unpleasant experience even worse. We ended up spending around €160 and still left a €20 tip. At this price level, I do not expect special treatment, but I absolutely expect basic courtesy and respect. The food itself was good, but after those comments and the generally disrespectful way we were treated, it was difficult to enjoy any of it. If being treated with respect matters to you, I would stay away from this place.

19/09/2026: It's a shame that a small misunderstanding marred the otherwise positive impression we had of this restaurant. The phone reservation went smoothly, and the person we spoke to was quite witty. However, the rather cold welcome at the restaurant, coupled with a disagreement about the aperitifs that forced us to send back the plates that arrived a little too quickly, just as we were starting our drinks, ultimately created a chilly atmosphere that lasted until the end of our meal. What a pity! The end-of-season fatigue was understandable, but we definitely felt the awkwardness it caused (even from the same, usually so welcoming, waiter...). The food remains excellent, but we've never experienced anything like this before at this restaurant, which we used to frequent.

30/06/2026: I was very happy to have spent time at this restaurant, sitting on the terrace. The couscous is generous and truly delicious. The coriander, subtle spices, and vegetables perfectly complement the tender and flavorful semolina. As for the service, it was simply perfect: warm and attentive.

Finally, a restaurant that doesn't rely on fancy decor or trendy trends, but on the raw, authentic quality of its cuisine. The couscous is extraordinary – it's a real couscous, flavorful and generously garnished. Every bite speaks to the authenticity of Berber cuisine: the flavors are there, precise, complex, without any pretense. It's cuisine that speaks for itself. And the service is impeccable. Attentive, warm, discreet when needed, and always there when you need it. It perfectly complements the experience. In Marseille, where North African cuisine abounds, it's rare to find such an honest and delicious place. Le Véritable Couscous Berbère truly lives up to its name. I highly recommend it! 09/08/2026: Simply an exceptional restaurant and owner ❤️ The food is absolutely delicious (I had THE Niçoise salad (every ingredient was of exceptional quality)), the service is quite fast (even during peak hours), and the staff are lovely and helpful. The decor is incredible: you can spend your entire lunch hour admiring all the carefully curated vintage items, collected over the years and in perfect condition. It feels like being a guest in someone's home. I love it 🤩
