06/12/2025: A very poor experience, to put it mildly. I booked a night at the Ibis La Timone Marseille hotel by phone due to a hospital appointment the following day. Early in the morning, I was woken by an unbearable noise inside the hotel. Elevator renovations—not mentioned when I made my reservation—forced me to climb four flights of stairs several times, despite having a limited leg. The workers gave me mocking looks and were unable to utter a kind word or even free up the elevator—not even for a minute—to make it easier for an elderly woman to use it. Beyond this extremely unpleasant situation, here are the services offered by the Ibis Timone Marseille hotel: > A ridiculously small room, overheated and with no way to regulate the temperature. > An outdated bathroom with a flimsy bar of soap stuck to the shower wall. > No kettle, no toiletries of any kind, nothing, not even a notepad. Hotel Timone Marseille, a three-star hotel...??? It goes without saying that for such low-quality services and at the price paid, the value for money is simply unacceptable. I understand the enthusiasm of many travelers for Airbnb-style accommodations, which are of far superior quality and much cheaper, and which, moreover, welcome you with a smile and those little touches that make all the difference. In short, I absolutely do not recommend the Ibis Marseille Timone hotel, a hotel that in no way corresponds to a 3-star hotel as advertised on the front door.

06/12/2025: Well located for my conference at the medical school, but the room faced the noisy boulevard, so the night wasn't very restful; breakfast was adequate.

10/04/2026: Following a request (for a dessert not on the menu) made when booking, Antoine, the owner, managed to accommodate my request. During the meal, a group of 10 people arrived without a reservation... this had no impact on the quality of the service, which was quick and very friendly. The meal: everything was excellent, as usual. Thank you for this pleasant experience thanks to the team.

But my last order was particularly excellent, delicious, flavorful, just the way you like it… These days, it's quite an achievement to maintain quality, quantity, and reasonable prices. 29/03/2026: Racist staff, not all Asians are Chinese, educate yourselves a little: We were simply taking a photo in this rather beautiful setting when a staff member loudly said, "Watch out, there are Chinese people taking our picture!" Please respect the customers, even if they are Asian.

28/03/2026: Very busy this March… the restaurant was full, the bar was efficient with drinks for hikers in a hurry or who had just arrived. With two terraces, good coffee, and credit card payments accepted, I recommend it for a delicious stop or a refreshing break.

16/12/2025: As a native of Marseille, I don't play tennis, but I've come many times to dine in the club's restaurant, which is also open to non-members. The setting is very pleasant, a blend of relaxed and refined atmosphere, where a welcome sense of calm prevails. Each table is spaced far enough apart to allow for comfortable conversation. The menu is simple yet generous. And for pizza lovers, there's a magnificent pizza oven and a pizza chef on hand.

10/12/2024: Never been disappointed with Saint Barnabé sushi, I tried to order from the one in Joliette which is closer to home... What a disappointment!! Fried sushi... In my opinion fried several times... It was so inedible... The tacos were all soft... Fondant cheese... Without cheese... I will no longer order there.
