29/04/2026: Nguyen-Hoang, a Vietnamese restaurant in Marseille's Old Port district, is quite popular, with the entrance already packed with customers waiting and dining at lunchtime. The restaurant has limited seating, making the space feel a bit cramped, and the tables and chairs show signs of age. However, the owner is very welcoming and proactively guides customers to their seats, a definite plus. This time, I ordered Vietnamese pho and roasted duck rice. The tableware is simple and homey, without much decoration. The pho broth was rather cloudy, presumably because raw meat slices were cooked directly in the broth, lacking the crispness of pre-processed meat, resulting in a slightly less flavorful dish. The roasted duck rice was rather ordinary, falling slightly short of my expectations. Overall, for the Old Port area, the prices are relatively affordable. It's fine if you just want a quick meal, but if you have more time, I suggest considering other areas where you might find more refined and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine.

19/05/2026: The spring rolls were impeccable, a truly memorable experience... however, I was very disappointed with the main courses. There was far too much cinnamon in the pho soup, and the homemade rice was a mixed bag; the rice looked crushed and unappetizing. It had no flavor at all, probably an oversight by the kitchen. To top it all off, the waiter wasn't very pleasant. We wondered why we were bothering him by asking for more spring roll sauce, and there was no smile. The cutlery was rushed out even though it was 7:45 pm... a rather cold welcome. It's a shame, because the spring rolls will remain a good memory...

12/04/2026: A quick stop during a trip to the coast, everything was delicious, from the sushi to the spring rolls, from the skewers of the rising sun to the bowl of vegetable noodles. The staff is very pleasant and professional. A great place to return to on my next trip to Marseille.

02/05/2026: Hello, we had a lovely time this Friday, May 1st, at lunchtime. The food was good, fresh, and homemade, and the service was excellent! However, what I don't understand is the price of the desserts: a lemon meringue tart at €14 seems excessive, as does the coffee at €2.80 (we're not by the sea, and even by the sea, prices aren't like that). I understand that many prices have increased, especially for ingredients, but unfortunately, due to this price surge, I don't think I'll be returning.

01/06/2026: A truly wonderful discovery in the heart of the village of Mazargues. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness, and a genuine joie de vivre that we immediately felt at ease. The small garden is particularly pleasant and offers such a peaceful atmosphere that you completely forget you're in town. It's a true haven of tranquility. The food was excellent, especially the sea bass tartare with strawberries, made with fresh ingredients, a perfectly prepared fish of the day, and a very varied menu that ensures there's something for everyone. Special mention goes to the homemade desserts, which provided a perfect ending to the meal. An authentic place where you feel comfortable, with quality cuisine and a charming setting. We will definitely be back.

09/06/2026: Monday evening, not many people around, just two bartenders and two customers waiting to be served, including me. The first bartender gave me advice first, while the second chatted with her colleague for five minutes, completely ignoring me. I went back 25 minutes before closing time, and the same bartender was talking to a friend, probably trying to decide which shampoo to use on her shaved head, still pretending not to see me, only to tell me after another five-minute wait that they were no longer serving. It's not like it's vacation time; you need to wake up and actually want to work. The chat room is outside of working hours, please, or at least show a little respect. 👍🏻

06/06/2026: This security guard must be having personal problems, with the violence coming out of nowhere. It's best not to work in the restaurant industry in that case.

Logistically, it's flawless: delivery is reliable and efficient, deadlines are met, and the order always arrives in perfect condition. It's become my go-to option for a delicious Japanese meal at home. I highly recommend it!
