06/09/2026: Very disappointed with the service. We waited a very long time before being served. I complained to the waitress, who replied in a rather unfriendly tone that there were other customers ahead of me. I argued, telling her that other people had arrived after me and been served well before me. She then realized she had made a mistake, without telling me of course, that she had forgotten to take my order in her haste. The order was processed so quickly that the pizza wasn't cooked. I sent it back. Not pleasant at all, and the pizza wasn't good either. I won't be going back.

17/09/2026: Due to the weather, lunch was served indoors. On this weekday, there were only two other guests. There is no set menu, which makes the pricing for lunch quite high. The wine list is extensive and offers something for everyone. The owner cooks himself and also handles the service. As a result, he made a somewhat rushed impression and was curt. Unfortunately, he served the main course to one person while others had not yet finished their starters. Before a suitable wine could be selected to accompany the main course, the main course for the others was already on the table. The quality of the dishes varied: good for the snails and the steak. However, the prawns were very mediocre because they were overcooked.

12/09/2026: I ate there a week ago, while I was just passing through. I went in skeptical, and left absolutely delighted! The cuisine is refined, beautifully presented, and all the flavors harmonize perfectly. The wine pairing further enhances the experience. An incredibly successful experience, simply sublime! Go without hesitation!

The menu is very varied but everything is prepared with care: meats, fish, ravioli, salads, burgers... 😋 A choice of sides, generous portions, and even little rillettes toasts offered as an appetizer! The only major drawback of this establishment is the timing 😓 One person in the dining room and one in the kitchen help each other out as best they can, even when the place is only half full. We had plenty of time, but we were getting hungry between courses. As for the price, you won't break the bank; it's perfectly fair for what's on the plate.

24/08/2026: We don't usually post reviews unless they're exceptional or, conversely, deplorable. In this case, it falls into the latter category. We have no opinion on the food because, unfortunately, we never got to try it! We waited 45 minutes on the terrace with our drinks without the waitress coming to take our food orders (she didn't seem busy, as she was enjoying her Coke at the bar while chatting with other customers). Even the welcome we received upon arrival wasn't particularly pleasant. So, we left the restaurant without eating after paying for our drinks. In conclusion: the service needs serious improvement!

05/09/2026: Not easy to get to, but once you arrive, the welcome is very warm and professional, which is much appreciated! The chicken was good, but not exceptional at €19 each. It's still a roast chicken (less than 1.5kg as advertised for us...). Perhaps it was organic to justify this exorbitant price 🤷🏻‍♀️, just like the salad garnish, which wasn't included, even though it was good. An extra €4 is expensive for a few lettuce leaves with unprepared raw vegetables and drenched in vinaigrette. We'll come back to try the menu in person because we weren't convinced by the takeaway.

27/11/2025: I'm sad to see it closed, maybe it will reopen? It's an excellent restaurant and you can really see the chef's touch in the dishes. I'd even say it's almost semi-gastronomic. Congratulations and thank you for all the delicious food I've had the pleasure of enjoying there. 😁

09/10/2025: A pleasant discovery for a reunion with colleagues. A little noisy but the dishes were very generous and well served, with a smile from the entire restaurant team. I discovered a local white wine that I really liked. I will definitely come back.

03/06/2026: Excellent, generous portions that showcase the kid goat beautifully. The friendly staff do everything to please their customers. The chef even comes to greet diners at the end of their meal. Treat yourself, go to Montmiral!
