25/04/2026: It all started well with the mussels and fries, which were good, and the two young waitresses were very nice. However, for dessert, out of the three ice cream sundaes we ordered, two arrived at the table with melted ice cream on top and melted ice cream at the bottom—in short, inedible. The owner, once informed, was frankly unpleasant and aggressive, which is a real shame: we didn't come to be verbally attacked, but to have a pleasant evening. The ice creams were replaced, but we will definitely not be returning to L'Escale and will certainly not be giving it a glowing review!

20/04/2026: I can't comment on the food. However, it's great to find a good Belgian beer (in this case, a Chouffe) on tap here. And the owner is very friendly. They even have a nice selection of bottled beers. In moderation, of course!

With their extensive knowledge of the region, they readily share personalized advice that proves invaluable for planning our exploration of the must-see sites of the Drôme Provençale. The hotel offers an enchanting setting, notably thanks to its olive grove bordering the swimming pool, a true haven of peace perfect for relaxation. 22/04/2026: A simple smoke on a terrace and I'm subjected to a civics lesson from a woman on French laws and CBD consumption. She wanted to debate the topic, while I just wanted to enjoy my drink, which I had to take away. There was absolutely no tact in her contradictory remarks, because just before, when I asked if I could smoke, I was told it was hidden from the main market square and that I could... long live the URSSAF (French social security agency).

23/04/2026: We spent five days in Valencia. We booked the Ibis Valence Sud hotel. We were welcomed with great professionalism, kindness, and smiles. We ate at the hotel restaurant, which offered good value for money. The waiters and waitresses were very pleasant and attentive. A big thank you to Shimul for his friendliness and good humor. The only downside to our stay was that we were on the 5th floor and the air conditioning wasn't working, so we didn't sleep well. Nevertheless, we were satisfied with our stay.

19/04/2026: Very disappointed 😞 They bring you the aperitif and then the starter right after. The spritz was anything but a spritz—nothing fizzy at all. You're on your own with the wine tasting!! They just put it on the table. The beef 🐂 was just a fattened chuck roast. Once, but never again.

However, the dining room was very noisy and resembled a canteen – lacking charm; the garden must be lovely when the weather is nice and warm. We still spent €60 per person...
