05/02/2026: We went with one other couple and had a very enjoyable evening. We went on a Wednesday in February so it might be more crowded on other nights, but it was very quiet the night that we were there. Between us we had the Rabbit/Chicken Paella and the Cod. Both dishes were very good. We had the charcuterie for an appetizer. It was excellent. I had ice cream for desert. It was nothing special. (But its ice cream.) We had a couple of bottles of white wine. Also very good. The server was attentive but we weren't rushed at any point in the meal. The location is cozy. About 20 or so tables. And they quietly played Spanish music in the background on the TV. It was lovely.

13/02/2026: I go to the bodega regularly, and it's always a pleasant surprise to discover Spanish dishes, prepared with love. The staff is great.

07/02/2026: We were excited to try this place after seeing mostly good reviews. The food that we ordered; pimientos del padron, sardines grillees, croquetas and chiprones were all good. Service was good. The downer was the bathroom. I got startled when I saw a cockroach near the toilet. I’m allergic to this pest. I told the waiter discreetly about it so they can take care of it when they can. Instead of appreciating my concern, he said, “Welcome to Paris! Didn’t you see cockroaches outside the streets?” I was surprised by his reaction. I told him, “no I didn’t see a cockroach in the streets. And not in any other restaurant either.” First, I’m not a tourist. We live here. Secondly, instead of apologizing or being grateful about my concern, he just made a joke about it justifying and comparing it to the streets of Paris. Since they’re in the food business, that matter should have been taken seriously. A simple sorry, and acknowledgment of the issue would have been a good response. My intention was not to criticize. Anyway we were planning to come back because the food was good. But we decided that we won’t.

31/12/2025: What a disappointment! Since the change of ownership, the Swiss bar in Algiers is a mere shadow of its former self… gone is the legendary mint tea, gone are the charcuterie and cheese platters… It's become just another bar; the unique features that made it special have vanished!

15/11/2025: The meat was expired, and I clearly wasn't treated like everyone else; the smell of the meat alone was unbearable 🤢

13/11/2025: The bread is good, the fries too, the meat is chicken, pretty much like everywhere else, not bad, but if you're hungry I wouldn't recommend it because the portions are small; if you're really hungry you need to eat two portions to feel full, and the service is also icy.

20/01/2026: Fantasic place to chill and sip on a few beers. Charlie is great!! I'm english, my wife is spanish and our friends are french, and he could interact, speak and have a laugh with us all in our own languages! Top man!! We'll be back!

17/01/2026: It's become our favorite bar, with a great selection of beers at good prices. Language isn't a barrier here, especially with our favorite bartender, Charlie. You can speak Spanish, English, and French with him, and his professionalism and friendliness make all the difference. ♡

26/02/2026: Poor experience : nothing is mexican here, we had the worst guacamole at a restaurant, margarita was strong but not flavory. And on the top of that, service is slow and not friendly.

27/02/2026: An unpretentious restaurant, perfect for meeting up with friends (which is exactly what we did), in a rugby-loving atmosphere and enjoying simple, hearty meals like grandma used to make. We shared a convivial experience at very reasonable prices (starter, main course, dessert, and coffee: €18.10), welcomed and served by a Biarritz rugby legend. Humor and simplicity reigned. No frills, the focus is on the food and the friendly banter. The atmosphere was filled with stories and wonderful moments from the Biarritz Olympique's glory days, and the spirit of two other pillars of the club—Serge Betsen and Serge Blanco—was palpable. 12/08/2025: What a pleasure it was to eat at this place. We greatly appreciated the welcome every time we came. The announcement of the restaurant's closure was a real heartbreak. It will be very difficult to find such a charming restaurant with such good value for money. Happy retirement, chef, and see you soon.

22/02/2026: Always busy, great atmosphere, not so easy to get a seat.

25/01/2026: This was our "local" for pre-dinner drinks whilst staying in Morzine. Friendly, efficient service, good selection of drinks and nice little snacks to accompany. Had a pizza on our first evening and wasn't too keen on it but we returned several times during our stay and it was always busy. Recommended.

09/09/2025: A lot of noise right outside, but spacious rooms and a great balcony, kitchen, and bathroom. The sea view is a harbor with a lot of noise and lots of light all night long.
