27/02/2026: An unpretentious restaurant, perfect for meeting up with friends (which is exactly what we did), in a rugby-loving atmosphere and enjoying simple, hearty meals like grandma used to make. We shared a convivial experience at very reasonable prices (starter, main course, dessert, and coffee: €18.10), welcomed and served by a Biarritz rugby legend. Humor and simplicity reigned. No frills, the focus is on the food and the friendly banter. The atmosphere was filled with stories and wonderful moments from the Biarritz Olympique's glory days, and the spirit of two other pillars of the club—Serge Betsen and Serge Blanco—was palpable. 23/12/2025: Warning: homophobic bar. They refused to sell cigarettes to a gay man, but sold them to a straight man (who then came to order for the gay man) three minutes later. We are outraged, what a disgrace!!!

22/12/2025: We had lunch at Kalaka today. The Burrata pasta and the Pad Thai were very good. A warm welcome and excellent value for money. Everything on the menu looked tempting, so we'll be back soon. Thank you!

07/12/2025: It seems they don't accept Spaniards. Two Spanish families were asked to leave two empty tables without explanation, as if the manager didn't want us to sit down. And as soon as we got up, two French women sat down and were served... Surreal.

04/01/2026: The pasta was unfortunately not good (darling darling), however the tiramisu was good.

07/02/2026: We wanted to treat ourselves and bought a Basque cherry cake (serves 6), and what a disappointment! The cake was dry (probably not fresh), and above all, far, far too sweet, to the point that we won't be able to finish it. Really very disappointed, what a shame.

03/02/2026: An individual Basque cake that was several days old: the pastry had separated from the cream, leaving only a dry layer of cream. I threw it away. The vendor, barely polite, told me that yes, cakes can be made the day before. But a Basque cake doesn't look anything like it did the day before, or even two days before. Luckily, there are other places besides Paries, whose reputation has really taken a nosedive.

03/10/2025: We celebrated our wedding here, there were 12 of us. I've been coming to this restaurant since I was little. The owner is great. I highly recommend their €18 menu and it's delicious.

21/02/2026: The residents of a small village nearby mistook us for Americans. Barely a hello, no goodbye, and two glasses of white wine for €10. Thanks for the hospitality. Avoid at all costs!

27/01/2026: I ate at this restaurant with my partner during the mus tournament. We opted for a ribeye steak: high-quality meat, perfectly cooked, generous, and flavorful. A masterful dish, without a single flaw. The dessert, equally excellent, was particularly indulgent. The entire meal is offered at very reasonable prices considering the quality. The service also deserves praise: efficient, professional, and attentive. And a special mention for Maria's smile, which adds a truly warm and personal touch to the experience. We'll be back very soon.

28/02/2026: A delicious crêperie with incredibly affordable prices for the great quality. Both the chef and the waiter are super friendly. It was a very pleasant meal here.

10/12/2025: Highly recommended hotel for the quality. The rooms had nice touches. We slept very well; the mattress, despite being springs, was comfortable. The heating was very weak; we had to keep using a very basic radiator, which needs improvement. The cleanliness was adequate but could be better. Breakfast was the same every day for our 4 days and 3 nights; it could be improved, perhaps by adding a microwave to heat the pancakes. The service was attentive.

30/11/2025: Spent last night here in my way to Bilbao. The place is relatively good in all aspects particularly the reception and breakfast staff. The WiFi service was down and nobody attended to it nor did we receive any apologies for this unfortunately. There was an important issue I needed to attend to but I couldn’t because of the issue.
