03/08/2026: Bad experience. The tomato tartare was actually a mixed salad with only four pieces of tomato, the same for the melon, and no strawberries, which were advertised. Disappointed with the hot dish; it was tasteless. The manager has absolutely no respect for her customers; she's unpleasant, haughty, and aggressive. In short, a real rage-quitter. I strongly advise against going there.

03/04/2026: The terrace overlooking the church in the square is simply unbeatable. The hostel is charming and welcoming. The service is excellent and the food exceptional. I've eaten there a couple of times and it has never disappointed. I will definitely return. Don't miss it!

21/12/2025: We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Patxi's! It was pouring rain, but the warm atmosphere of the restaurant made us forget the bad weather. The servers were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food was varied and of high quality. We will gladly return.

25/05/2026: We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday. We greatly appreciated the kindness of Soso and his wife. We were delighted because everything was perfect. The table was beautifully set, the aperitif was very convivial with excellent tapas. The meal was delicious and very generous, and the cake was superb... all this at a relaxed pace, allowing us to savor every moment. Thank you, Soso, for your warmth, your guitar, and your kindness.

27/02/2026: An unpretentious restaurant, perfect for meeting up with friends (which is exactly what we did), in a rugby-loving atmosphere and enjoying simple, hearty meals like grandma used to make. We shared a convivial experience at very reasonable prices (starter, main course, dessert, and coffee: €18.10), welcomed and served by a Biarritz rugby legend. Humor and simplicity reigned. No frills, the focus is on the food and the friendly banter. The atmosphere was filled with stories and wonderful moments from the Biarritz Olympique's glory days, and the spirit of two other pillars of the club—Serge Betsen and Serge Blanco—was palpable. 12/06/2026: Amazing experience, the hotel allowed me to drop off my bag pre check-in, which allowed me to explore the beautiful city of Bayonne. The receptionist Claire was extremely welcoming and accomodating.

14/08/2026: A very generous meal for €18 or €25, typical regional cuisine, with beautifully presented dishes of excellent quality. A must-try, you won't be disappointed. Underrated for its quality, it deserves at least 4.5 overall.

12/08/2026: In this age of the internet, check the restaurant's payment information and you'll stop crying foul, especially since you've surely already looked at the menu and prices! Auguste hasn't accepted credit cards for years because of the associated fees. We go back regularly and are very satisfied with the value for money and the portion sizes. As for the tourists who find the owner unpleasant, start by behaving properly!

11/02/2026: Hello, I used to stop at this restaurant a long time ago (1992). I remember how kind Sophie and her husband were. On my way to Spain, I was transporting Renaults and working customs at Machicote's. Stéphane.

14/08/2026: The food and atmosphere were nice, but definitely overpriced. The soup was lukewarm, with a few pieces of potato, carrot, and leek swimming in it, no beans—I hope no one thinks it's garbure (a traditional Basque soup). Five small trout from the neighboring fish farm—what a markup and what a tourist attraction when a few fresh grilled sardines would offer three times the flavor for less! The red wine came in a one-liter bottle with a screw cap that costs two euros in stores. A slice of sheep's cheese two millimeters thick, a pseudo-Basque cake made from brioche. They're taking us for a ride.

Great bar, great atmosphere, the cocktails are so well made that the alcohol took hold in my mind, then my stomach, and subsequently in its magnificent toilets, which I unfortunately clogged. The staff were fantastic from start to finish; they helped me unclog its majestic toilet without any hesitation! I even managed to get a blowjob from young Quentin. If you happen to be reading this, kisses. I'll definitely be back!!

23/12/2025: Warning: homophobic bar. They refused to sell cigarettes to a gay man, but sold them to a straight man (who then came to order for the gay man) three minutes later. We are outraged, what a disgrace!!!

14/07/2026: This morning at 8:45, wanting to have a quick coffee before my yoga session, I went to Kalaka Café, but unfortunately, the owner, on the eve of the Bayonne Festival opening, had reserved her terrace for regulars. Personally, I find this very inappropriate. It's a shame, I won't be going back, and I'm not the only one. Two other women who were there at the same time as me were turned away.
