13/02/2026: A hidden gem in Ascain! This little bar-restaurant is simply perfect. You can feel the genuine passion, from the appetizers to the cheese course, with top-quality Basque regional products. The wine selection is excellent and pairs wonderfully with the dishes. Special mention goes to the owner: dedicated, friendly, and attentive. An authentic place just the way we like them, I highly recommend it!
13/12/2025: We discovered this restaurant by chance one evening while passing through Ascain.
Honestly, you have to go! We had a very good meal with excellent cuisine made from fresh ingredients. The service was friendly.

We had the beef tartare and pork pluma.
29/03/2026: It's not haute cuisine, but it's very good. And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly: the owner, the young waitress, and the cook.
It's a shame we didn't have enough sauce for our fried food. But the baked egg was a superb combination.

Friendly welcome, average service.
High price for what's served. Coffee without a biscuit or anything else.
Third and last visit.

16/04/2026: The food is refined, not too heavy, and very original! My parents and I loved our meal from start to finish, and the waiter was very pleasant: he explained the origin of the ingredients and the different dishes. Of course, this restaurant offers a menu based on seasonal produce!

Menu changes according to the fresh seasonal ingredients. Very good local wine and cocktails. Gourmet food, enjoy any time. 22/04/2026: A perfect experience! The starter was delicious (a succulent and very flavorful pumpkin soup!), followed by grilled baby squid, also very tasty and all-you-can-eat!! So, a big thank you to the chef 😊.
And for the service, a big thank you to the waitress who was very pleasant!
So, in short, I highly recommend it!

For great food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. The children's menu is €10 and includes eggs and fries with Bayonne ham, plus a chocolate fondant with whipped cream – something to delight both young and old.

16/04/2026: Totally a scam! Seafood is not fresh and not processed well, you can tell it’s from frozen and some of them even smells stinky (in a rotten way). The price is also higher than usual restaurants. Service is fine but only one waiter busy serving every table.

It was pouring rain, but the warm atmosphere of the restaurant made us forget the bad weather.
The servers were friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
The food was varied and of high quality.
We will gladly return.
