02/08/2026: Sunday at 2 pm, Thierry warmly welcomed us with his big smile. Offering the evening and weekend set menu (starter/main course/dessert), we chose the all-you-can-eat baby squid (chipirons) with Xipister sauce, rice, and peppers. The price was fair, the food was good and plentiful, and the owner's friendliness made for a very pleasant experience – I highly recommend it! (Shaded terrace, large parking area)

12/08/2026: Get off the beaten track, leave the main square and head towards this restaurant; you won't be disappointed. The talo and marinated pork are must-tries. The wine on offer, a Rioja full of structure and freshness, will complement them with a delicate authority. Much like the owner himself: generous, accommodating, and colorful, just like his cuisine. And, on your way to the restrooms, take a detour to the left with your flashlight to see the municipal pelota court. A memory of a wonderful discovery and a warm encounter, during a stopover (highly recommended in this village) on the way back from Portugal.

05/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal... Don't be fooled by appearances; this little restaurant isn't very visible and doesn't look like much, but that's not the point... The menu is simple yet authentic, everything is fresh and homemade. Follow the advice of the waiter-chef who will give you a warm welcome. A delightful experience.

18/08/2026: Very good and very generous portions.... The service was a bit slow and the bill was quite high.

17/08/2026: It's not bad, the place is a bit small and very hot, the menu is limited but quite acceptable. Very centrally located.

24/07/2026: Living here, we found quality local products on our plates. The mashed potatoes were excellent! We left very quickly due to lack of time. Next time I'll order dessert. Thank you for the service and thank you to the chefs! All the best!

20/07/2026: Our experience was entirely negative for several reasons: the restaurant was practically empty, yet we had to wait 45 minutes before being served, the explanation being that the food is cooked fresh. However, three of the seven dishes we ordered consisted of a sirloin steak (ordered rare and served well overcooked), two zucchini slices (really just two), bagged salad, and a few fries (which were good, though). Another dish was a hamburger with salad and fries. Two others were half a hamburger patty and fries (in this case, a favor granted by the waitress). After waiting 45 minutes for these dishes that required no preparation whatsoever, we asked for a hamburger patty just 15 minutes after being served, and it was refused, with the excuse that the kitchen was closed. However, we were given extra fries... the logic is hard to understand. We should mention that we had made a reservation the day before. Another point to note: we paid €25 for a sirloin steak (overcooked), two zucchini slices, a few salad leaves, and some fries. We felt a lack of consideration for the customer, both in terms of the quantity and the poor quality of the food compared to the price paid.

04/08/2026: This is how this restaurant responds when you try to book a table. Judging by the reviews, this cider house has indeed been taken over by an owner who seems to care little about the quality established by his predecessor.

01/08/2026: 2024. Very good, typical Bayonne restaurant. The cider menu is fantastic! Omelette, hake, xuleta (a type of sausage), sheep's cheese. Fries aren't included... What a shame. They should mention that. We waited a while... Great time spent with family. I recommend it. 2026. No more fries served at all... Everyone very disappointed... I'm taking away one star 🌟

26/05/2026: We went to the restaurant for lunch and had an exceptional time with each dish being better than the last. Even the children's menu for our little one was incredible, with a super friendly waiter.

26/05/2026: Always a warm welcome, well-organized and efficient table service, even though we were a group of 20 to 22 people depending on the year. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, and the view is superb.

01/06/2026: What a wonderful time at El Callejon ❤️ An exceptional welcome, delicious dishes! A true journey with every plate. Not to mention the caipirinhas, simply incredible, we felt like we were in Brazil 🥰. A huge thank you to Stéphane for his kindness, his passion, and all the wonderful stories that accompany the dishes. We loved it! The two of us from Toulouse will be back with great pleasure to discover the rest of the menu and finally try the famous chocolate tiramisu 😋. We recommend it 100%! ✨💕

29/03/2026: It's not haute cuisine, but it's very good. And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly: the owner, the young waitress, and the cook. It's a shame we didn't have enough sauce for our fried food. But the baked egg was a superb combination.

16/04/2026: The food is refined, not too heavy, and very original! My parents and I loved our meal from start to finish, and the waiter was very pleasant: he explained the origin of the ingredients and the different dishes. Of course, this restaurant offers a menu based on seasonal produce! I highly recommend it :)

09/03/2026: Restaurant we visit often, the best fresh local excellent food prepared with professional mastery finesse. Never disappointed, always pleasantly surprised. Menu changes according to the fresh seasonal ingredients. Very good local wine and cocktails. Gourmet food, enjoy any time. 09/06/2026: The best Basque cherry cake I've ever tasted! Whole cherries, not just jam like in some famous bakeries. And the prices are reasonable. Go without hesitation!

07/06/2026: Excellent pastries, both sweet and viennoiseries, as well as bread. The only downside is the slow service; it's no wonder the line grows so quickly. A little speed wouldn't hurt.

04/08/2026: We usually come to Sunset every summer. The staff is fantastic and always tries to find us a table despite the crowds. This year, however, we've noticed a drop in the quality of the burger, which has gone from delicious to just okay. Hopefully, this is just a one-off (August 29, 2026)...

29/07/2026: Before sitting down, we asked if we'd be getting drinks, and they said yes. We ordered two mojitos, and after five minutes they told us that if we didn't order food, they wouldn't serve us any cocktails. Only wine or cider.

09/08/2026: A surprising setting, somewhere between a bistro and a restaurant. Very, very pleasant service ✨ Disappointed by the sharing appetizers; nothing special. Meat and fries were decent. Desserts were just like the appetizers, nothing more. They lacked flavor…

30/07/2026: We were looking for a good restaurant, and knowing Joanto, we didn't hesitate. However, we were very disappointed; it was far from living up to our previous experiences. We didn't get what we wanted because four of the menu items were unavailable. In addition, one of the wines was also out of stock. The dishes lacked originality compared to what we had experienced before, and the portions were disappointing. Furthermore, we had to wait a long time before being served and during the wait itself. For the price, this visit left a bitter taste in our mouths.
