26/04/2026: Terrible service, incredibly slow; you could practically digest your food between courses. The portions are small and the quality is just average. The set menu costs 25 euros. In my case, my starter was more like a tapa of baby squid, and my partner's was a halved egg with sauce—dismal! 🤣 For the main course, we had a sausage with sauce and fries, and my partner got half a fillet of hake with a sad little casserole of chopped carrots. I don't recommend it. You're better off making a sandwich from the supermarket; you'll spend less and eat better.

My parents and I loved our meal from start to finish, and the waiter was very pleasant: he explained the origin of the ingredients and the different dishes. Of course, this restaurant offers a menu based on seasonal produce! I highly recommend it :)

Menu changes according to the fresh seasonal ingredients. Very good local wine and cocktails. Gourmet food, enjoy any time. 26/05/2026: We went to the restaurant for lunch and had an exceptional time with each dish being better than the last. Even the children's menu for our little one was incredible, with a super friendly waiter.

26/05/2026: Always a warm welcome, well-organized and efficient table service, even though we were a group of 20 to 22 people depending on the year. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, and the view is superb.

29/03/2026: It's not haute cuisine, but it's very good. And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly: the owner, the young waitress, and the cook. It's a shame we didn't have enough sauce for our fried food. But the baked egg was a superb combination.

17/04/2026: THE RESTAURANT TO TRY IN ASCAIN! We stopped by chance one evening in Ascain and what a discovery! The chef was lovely, the food generous and delicious! The txuleton for two was perfectly seasoned, the fries were homemade, the sheep's cheese was excellent, and the pistachio-raspberry fondant was delicious… everything was homemade! If we're ever back in the area, this will definitely be our next stop!

21/05/2026: I regularly use the snack bar for lunch because it's quick, and occasionally the restaurant for lunch or dinner, and the service is always excellent. Thierry, the owner, has a great smile that puts a spring in my step for the day! Special mention to the all-you-can-eat baby squid! And kudos to the team for their great atmosphere!

26/05/2026: Amazing spot, but what a shame the bartenders are so unfriendly and inattentive to customers. I waited 10 minutes even though there were three servers behind the bar, two of whom were changing a beer keg. Not a word or a word for the people waiting. It ruins everything! I gave the spot three stars.

Everything was delicious, the falafel and taloa were incredible, and the sauce with the pork dish was equally delicious. Thank you again to the chef. Not to mention the caipirinhas, simply incredible, we felt like we were in Brazil 🥰. A huge thank you to Stéphane for his kindness, his passion, and all the wonderful stories that accompany the dishes. We loved it! The two of us from Toulouse will be back with great pleasure to discover the rest of the menu and finally try the famous chocolate tiramisu 😋. We recommend it 100%! ✨💕

09/06/2026: The best Basque cherry cake I've ever tasted! Whole cherries, not just jam like in some famous bakeries. And the prices are reasonable. Go without hesitation!

07/06/2026: Excellent pastries, both sweet and viennoiseries, as well as bread. The only downside is the slow service; it's no wonder the line grows so quickly. A little speed wouldn't hurt.

I went there last year and didn't leave a review because it could have been good, but there's an unpleasant waiter who's always there. He treats you like an idiot at his age 😂 A year later, he's still just as unpleasant and treats people like idiots. I don't recommend it.
