02/03/2026: After a somewhat disappointing first experience, I came back to try again. Even late at night, the buffet was still well-stocked. I had the butcher's cut, a nice rump steak... Very good. The food was good, and "Grandma" serving was very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

14/02/2026: Last night I celebrated my birthday at the Royal. We had a wonderful meal at the all-you-can-eat buffet—too much, in fact, because we wanted to try everything! All the maki rolls were delicious and fresh. I loved my spring roll—there was a good selection of meat and steamed options. In short, I highly recommend it because the place is also very pretty, and the owners are incredibly welcoming. Tonight they're also having a Valentine's Day celebration with a special menu. They really know how to do things right; I enjoyed their Christmas Eve dinner there. Enjoy your meal at the Royal Verneuil!

The dishes are delicious, the meat is perfect, the appetizers are full of flavor, and the children's menu is excellent, far superior to what you usually find. 01/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve at L'Eau Vive and were delighted with the festive atmosphere. The reservation was made by our friends, and there were four of us. Beautiful setting, beautifully decorated room, and the owners were very kind and welcoming. Everything was impeccable, from the aperitif to the dessert; the service was top-notch 😊. And what an atmosphere! Well done, and keep up the good work!

11/12/2024: What happened this afternoon? I order a sea bream with cauliflower puree.... It was not sea bream, a tasteless fish and the puree was a kind of tasteless, inedible cold liquid... I couldn't finish eating, disgusting 19th It's a far cry from the gourmet restaurant of yesteryear... The worst of Evreux

10/02/2026: While traveling, I stumbled upon this place quite by chance. A charming, authentic spot where you immediately feel at ease.... The waitresses and Antoine do their best to make you feel welcome.... I highly recommend it.

04/01/2026: Been meaning to leave a review of this place for a while. Myself and some friends stayed here in September. We all loved it and the building and rooms are spectacular and the breakfast knocked it out of the park. It felt like we were in a Wes Andersen move en France. The staff were lovely and it reminded us all of how much sacrifice these people give to provide their customers with a great service. There was a lady who checked us in, served our table and checked us out in the morning. She was delightful, elegant and also a little scary - a fabulous combination in my book. She apologised as there was a limited menu due to it being a particular day of the week however this menu was delicious and I would have chosen it any day of the week. Anyway it was all great and personal and wonderful. A credit. I also think everything was very well priced. I see others complaining in the reviews that no French people stay here. I did observe some French people and some people from elsewhere staying in the hotel however. Also I didn’t realise that not being from France meant I have no access to any critical faculties - what a shame for me, I am clearly so naive that I really enjoyed my stay 🤣

15/03/2026: This 4-star restaurant is truly excellent. We go there regularly to celebrate family events and we're never disappointed. The dishes are excellent and sophisticated. The quality-to-price ratio is perfect. I recommend trying their signature cocktail, LE BEL AMI. The service is also very good. The setting is beautiful and the ambiance with the Epte River flowing alongside the restaurant is very charming. I highly recommend this restaurant. ✨

08/02/2026: February 7, 2026 at noon, 8 people. I booked for a family event. A magnificent setting, overlooking the Eure River, and a beautifully set table. The dishes were excellent and refined from appetizer to dessert, regardless of the menu. The portions were perfectly sized. The staff that day were particularly pleasant and kind; the service was impeccable without a single flaw. Finally, the wine list was well-organized in terms of both selection and price. The wines chosen were excellent, with a special mention for the Lynch Bages. Thank you for this warm welcome. Be warned, we might just be back…

07/02/2026: Lunch on weekdays, a friendly welcome, excellent food (the crispy chicken is a delight), quick service, and very good value for money. In short, for a happy meal, go to "Au Rendez-vous".

01/02/2026: Well, what a great surprise! Best pizzas I've had in ages! Best pizzeria in the area, delicious, perfectly toasty, super fresh, and wood-fired 😍. And the staff are so friendly! This is my new go-to spot for future pizza nights 👍

11/12/2025: Average quality meat, lots of sinew that was difficult to cut. Paid with restaurant vouchers, but: - balance too low to pay by card, - impossible to withdraw cash "because the restaurant is closing." No solution for paying €3; we even offered a tip to round it up to €5, which was refused. After wasting 10 minutes (which would have allowed us to withdraw cash), we finally managed to leave after finally paying by card. If you have time to waste, this is the place to go.

09/11/2025: The waiter was very welcoming yet discreet, the food was excellent, and the ingredients were high quality. The only problem: they don't accept restaurant vouchers as indicated at the entrance and on the menu (it's crossed out only at the till, which is a shame). They do accept holiday vouchers and restaurant cards. You can go there without hesitation.

09/11/2025: We were there as a family for my partner's birthday. The couscous and lamb shank were absolutely delicious. The oriental pastries were superb, and the mint tea was pure bliss! The staff was very friendly, and the service was impeccable. It was our first time there, and certainly not our last! A gem of a restaurant in the heart of Évreux!
