Perfect dinner (very good and beautifully presented dishes) and hearty breakfast. Really a great discovery, which makes us want to come back.

16/09/2024: After two underwhelming experiences at highly rated French restaurants in Amiens and Reims, we were hesitant to try another French spot, so we opted for Italian instead, thinking it was a safer choice. To our surprise, the quality here blew us away! The pizza Malva was superb, with generous toppings, and the Bolognese tagliatelle was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made in-house. This turned out to be an unexpected gem in Brittany. Highly recommend if you're craving great Italian food in the area!

22/08/2024: The food is not bad but they serve the pasta cut. The carbonaras are French style, that is to say with cream, which is not great for a so-called Italian restaurant but more and more restaurants are doing that. The staff is very friendly and attentive which is very good. Small downside there is only one toilet so you have to wait quite a bit.

19/09/2024: Very bad experience with a lunch service, table of 2, a burger and a pancake. The dishes were served to us more than 20 minutes apart. We watched each other eat, each in turn... The table next to us, 4 place settings, same scenario... I didn't even want to stay there for dessert. Either it's a failure in taking orders, transmitting them to the kitchen or the kitchen which doesn't know how to take the dishes off a table and serve them together... Regardless, the customer experience is ruined, and not one a word of apology when leaving, nor a commercial gesture. Not even asked if "it went well", a way of avoiding coping...

I had never come here without even knowing the existence of this place and I was captivated by the service offered to me I bought my hookah at the pharaoh's temple and this humble manager let me test the hookah for free before buying it. 08/09/2024: We were very disappointed with the salmon with crunchy vegetables.... The fish was almost raw. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had the same setbacks with potatoes. I'm willing to pay a little more for my meal but the quality has to be there.

26/09/2024: Atypical inn, very original and quiet, located in the buildings of an old farm. These typical granite walls have a soul that tells us the story of this family who brought this place to life and evolved. And it's not over: several projects are under study! The team, despite personnel problems, does everything to satisfy customers, meet their expectations and take the time to inform us. With them, we feel like we are family. We have just had a 2 week stay there with half board. Everything was perfect: welcome, accommodation, bedding, cleanliness. On the restaurant side, a HUGE THANK YOU to Mathieu and his colleagues: in 2 weeks, all different menus and especially for the magnificent surprise of the last evening. He delighted us with Breton specialties (cotriade, kig ha farz, kouing amann, freshly caught fish, etc.) He only cooks local products or otherwise, it's homemade. This young chef has all the makings of a great one! A plus: the shuttles to take us or pick us up at the pier at the port of Conquet. This hostel is a beautiful address that we highly recommend. Thanks again to the whole team.

22/09/2024: I had such good memories, accommodation and meals (including 1 full week a few years ago) that we came back. Oops ! Two adjoining rooms where the toilet door cannot be closed due to the cramped conditions. A breakfast with uncooked but hard bread and thin, stale croissants. The meal (quality sausage purée) is expensive. Where are the good meals and breakfasts in Tanguy? Come back Tanguy.

23/09/2024: We come here for an evening meal twice a year before taking the ferry back to the UK the following afternoon. So we have probably dined here about eight times. We usually have the set menu which is now €30, the least expensive option (excluding wine), but very good quality. The service is very efficient and business like, operating like a well maintained machine. The waitress who served us last night was probably the eldest of the many waiters, but seems to lack the ability to smile. She seemed very impatient when taking our order. No hint of friendliness whatsoever and yet was all smiles when talking to a male waiter. Other, younger waitresses were fine however. Like other commentators here, I feel the deserts could do with some embellishment. For example I felt the Pear Tart needed a little cream, but I had to ask for it. Last May I had the same and was charged €2 for the squirt of cream, last night I wasn't charged. So in conclusion, please can the management ask their staff to be a little more welcoming, as this clearly depends on who we customers are lucky or unlucky to be served by. Secondly can your staff please offer cream or other appropriate additions to the desserts. Such a small gesture would make we, the customer, feel our patronage was appreciated.

The setting is magnificent, the superb welcome by Mr Xavier Pensec, his Japanese wife, the young person who participated in the service in perfect symbiosis with the spirit of the restaurant, all associated with valuable information historical and geographical information about Japan. The (very rare) people who have in the past criticized the high price of the menu surely have no idea of ​​the work carried out upstream to find on their plates fish meticulously selected with passion, of impeccable freshness, and the years of experience to acquire such mastery in the preparation of sushi.
