27/08/2024: I'll stay factual. Regarding the cuisine, I tried the dish/dessert from the “taste buds” menu. The dish was good with an originality in the preparation of the leeks. The dessert was simple, even too simple. But my rating is mainly linked to the management of our gift voucher. We had a gift voucher worth €140. I admit that we have passed the expiration date (we are over by a month and a half) which was for a period of 6 months. Our gift voucher was halved due to this delay! I can understand a possible increase in prices between the time of ordering the voucher and its use, but €70 seems somewhat exaggerated to me. In summary, I do not recommend ordering gift vouchers in this restaurant. As for the cuisine, I didn't taste anything exceptional but maybe the bitterness of "losing" €70 has something to do with it.

10/08/2024: L'accueil et le service sont parfaits. Les chiens sont acceptés, et accueillis avec une gamelle d'eau fraîche (encore merci pour elle). Déjeuner en famille (7 personnes). Tout le monde est unanime : c'est vraiment très bon et très copieux. Petit bémol, c'est un peu cher. Les suggestions du jour étaient fort sympathiques. Très bonne carte des boissons, nous avons apprécié les bières proposées, le vin également. Très bonnes glaces en dessert. C'est une très bonne adresse. Les brumisateurs en terrasse ont été fort appréciés.

29/08/2024: We came as a family to spend two days there in August and are only waiting for one thing: to come back for Christmas! 5 points to remember 1. First of all, the Auberge d'Aranc is one of the rare establishments that can accommodate families with more than two children! A double bedroom with a bedroom with two real bunk beds can accommodate a family with 4 children in good conditions. All at very competitive prices. The rooms are fairly standard but a good size and clean. At this price the value for money is very good. 2. Then the situation: a very quiet village. The hotel is right opposite a charming church (unfortunately closed but this is more and more the case. It's a shame) and from the windows you can see the countryside. It's really charming. We feel good there. 3. We eat very well there! excellent gratin dauphinois with chanterelles, tasty meat, well-stocked breakfast! There are also children's menus and the cook adapts to requests. 4. The boss and the rest of the team have a sense of service (this is really becoming more and more rare!) 5. there seem to be a lot of leisure activities nearby, including a very good treetop adventure course, a real goat farm where you can milk milk and then buy excellent cheeses. Thanks to the boss and the team!

07/07/2024: Une auberge au coeur d'un petit village du bugey a 10km de A40, un très bon moment passé dans un établissement de qualité. Chambre spacieuse et propre bien équipée. Quand à la restauration, que des produits frais et maison, une très belle carte ou menus à des prix très convenables. Ne passez pas à côté, allez y vous ne serez pas déçus

Not open enough... taste the saffron mussels In 2024, still as perfect, spritz measured and served with Crémant de Bourgogne, Basquaise-style mussels, well you lick the plate and when I ask for a salad, Madame says to me "ok but green because we don't make mixed salads" and I found with cherry tomatoes, feta, herbs, in short we cook at home, go there without fear!

On the other hand, noisy terrace We were disappointed with the menu at 43 euros, we expected better for the presentation of the dishes and the content but it was good (Snails in salad - Creamy chicken-Cheese-Dessert) Preferred the daily menu best value

05/09/2024: Beautiful site with a welcoming club house. The course (made in September) deserves better quality fairways. The first holes are composed of non-quality grass which is found on other holes in an uneven manner. The contours of greens are the same thing. The sand in the bunkers has faded and it looks more like clay. The greens are of quality, with interesting slopes to negotiate. At the price of the green fee, the quality of the course is not there, which is a shame.

16/08/2024: Very pleasant and smiling staff. After a good fifteen minutes of waiting, someone came to ask us what we wanted to eat and drink. We had a prime rib (asked well done) and salmon. Unfortunately, the prime rib was not cooked and was accompanied by a maximum of 2 diced potatoes to give a little more volume. The rib was supposed to be accompanied by a béarnaise sauce, which never happened. The salmon was good, only problem was that the vegetables that came with it tasted like dirt.

16/08/2024: Ordered prawns with vegetables and Lyonnais salad, both very mediocre. I felt sick (diarrhea) after eating.

10/07/2024: L'emplacement du restaurant est pratique, et il dispose d'un parking. La salle de restaurant est climatisée ce qui est un plus lors de certaines journées d'été presque caniculaires. La carte proposée est variée = multiples salades, viandes, poissons... et différents types de cuisine (plats un peu épicés, tartare, filet de poisson, etc....) Bref, rien à redire, sauf peut-être un petit bémol : Sur certains plats l'accompagnement en légumes est juste suffisant pour un "gros" mangeur. A noter que le pain est excellent, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans les restaurants ! Pour info : Ce restaurant a changé de propriétaire il y a quelques mois !

09/05/2024: Très déçu à peine nous avons eu l'apéritif que le plat chaud arrivait déjà. Arrivé à 19h45 on nous a gentiment mis dehors à 21h45.
