09/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, food, service, setting, nothing to complain about.

03/09/2026: Thankfully, this establishment is closed on weekends, otherwise I could make it a regular haunt, which would eventually drain my finances. The welcome isn't exactly warm, but almost friendly. The tables are set with care and cloth napkins. If you're looking to quench your thirst on these hot summer days, I recommend the Atmosphère organic draft beer...delicious! You'll find daily specials, an à la carte menu, and a set menu. The selection is varied, the dishes are carefully prepared, with a touch of originality. Here, they don't take the easy way out. They rack their brains to offer beautiful combinations of fresh, homemade products. I deliberately didn't take photos of the dishes (except for the bone marrow starter at €12) to let you enjoy the visuals before the tasting. Needless to say, without a reservation, you'll miss out on this excellent restaurant.

08/08/2026: What a wonderful evening we had dining together with our little dog! The welcome was very warm and professional. The cuisine was delicate and refined, worthy of a Michelin star, all at a reasonable price for a starred restaurant. Absolutely flawless. We'll be back!

07/09/2026: We had a wonderful time at So Club for my wife's surprise birthday party! There were 30 of us, seated poolside in a private area. The cocktail reception was delicious 😋 beautifully presented and plentiful! The staff was incredibly attentive! We wanted for nothing! Thank you to David, his daughter Juliette, and all the staff who were there that day; you made the occasion even more enjoyable! Thank you 🙏🏻

For a meal, for entertaining the kids (and grandparents 😆), for a team building day, for sports, for a surf and stand-up evening, for a fire pit, for a fiesta 🥳… I'm still wondering what you CAN'T do at So 🤷🏻‍♀️ When you've figured it out, let me know.

09/09/2026: Excellent find! Friendly atmosphere. Attentive, professional service. Original meat menu (kangaroo, bull, venison, beef!). The kangaroo meat I had was very tender, served on a hot stone! I'll gladly return.

01/09/2026: I'm a motorcycler and got off the motorway for lunch. It was fantastic! Can't recommend enough. There's plenty of parking which is visible from the terrace so no worries about bike security. Formidable!

06/08/2026: A nice little village bistro, a bit dated in terms of decor, but we ate well there, simply, but with a smile and a sense of humor. Local dishes (frog legs, fried food, chicken breasts...) and more classic options are also available. Very good value for money. Friendly and, given how busy it was on a Sunday evening (yes, a Sunday evening in a small village, thank you very much!), it's a regular haunt... a good sign!

02/08/2026: It's not immediately obvious on the website, but this restaurant also does takeaway pizzas. I've tried them twice, they were very good, ready on time, the staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable: everything was perfect, so I recommend them.

02/06/2026: We had a magical stay at Domaine du Gouverneur, a place where everything seems to come together to offer a relaxing and enjoyable getaway in the heart of the Dombes region. Our escape began with a reserved tee time on the magnificent Breuil course, meticulously prepared for the Oval Green competition taking place the following day. The course was perfectly maintained. We are always captivated by the panoramic views of the Dombes ponds and the local flora and fauna. After this round, played in the sweltering heat, we enjoyed a relaxing moment on the clubhouse terrace, ideal for cooling off while taking in the view of the estate. We then discovered our superior room, spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Its generous size makes it an excellent choice for a stay of several days. The hotel staff were warm, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. The facilities are also of very high quality, including a lovely swimming pool, perfect for cooling off and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. As the sun set, we continued our experience at the estate's restaurant. We chose the Governor's Menu, and it was a truly wonderful discovery. The dishes, at once refined, generous, and beautifully presented, demonstrated genuine culinary mastery. A real treat from beginning to end. Finally, it was time to leave this magnificent estate surrounded by exceptional natural surroundings. Whether you're a golfer or simply looking for a peaceful place to recharge, Domaine du Gouverneur is a destination we recommend without hesitation. We will gladly return. 🌅🏌️‍♂️🍽️🏨

01/06/2026: Our first time at Domaine du Gouverneur made us want to return. Excellent value for money, from the food and activities to the rooms. A wonderful welcome; thank you and well done to Carla who accompanied and guided us throughout our stay, which was far too short! I highly recommend it.

26/06/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant today and had their daily lunch special. The service was very friendly, and despite the language barrier, they did their best to explain what the lunch menu included. There was a small appetizer buffet, a main course, cheese, and dessert—along with table water. The value for money was excellent, the food arrived quickly and was delicious. The service was top-notch. The other guests were locals. A very authentic experience! The parking lot is large. Highly recommended!

20/08/2026: It's always a pleasant stop on the way to the Les Gueules de Bois festival. We're greeted with a smile and the food is good (crayfish pasta) 😊

19/08/2026: Denied service at 13:45... When the schedule clearly said 14:30... The lady said that 14:30 is when they close the door.. service finishes at 13:45? We can't value the food..

19/08/2026: A disastrous experience — Avoid at all costs Total disappointment from start to finish. The waiter on the terrace was completely clueless, and the wait time was simply unacceptable. We ordered a half-pint of beer, which was served in a 50cl glass instead... But the worst part was the handling of the children's menu: for a simple ice pop, we had to wait over 20 minutes. My husband finally had to get up and fetch it himself from the counter so our son could finally have it. A blatant lack of organization and professionalism. We will not be returning.

10/08/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch and what a lovely surprise! 😊 The prices are quite reasonable, and the varied menu, with its French influences, is a welcome change from the usual burgers you find everywhere. But what truly charmed us was the warm welcome and kindness of the staff. Everyone was so lovely, attentive, and took such good care of us. One small touch that particularly touched us: they even lent us a fan for our baby to help keep him cool in the heat. 🥰 We happily recommend this place, both for the food and the quality of the service. We'll definitely be back!

23/06/2026: I booked the room through Booking.com. Small but clean room, poor ventilation in high temperatures. No drinks available when the restaurant is closed. Breakfast is self-service and basic: coffee, tea, juice, water, toast, and various pre-packaged jams. So, not a buffet in the traditional sense. Okay for the price, if you don't have high expectations based on the reviews, hence only 3 stars from me.

31/05/2026: A warm welcome, comfortable room, and excellent dinner. As for the much-maligned breakfast, the concept is perfect: available at any time without disturbing anyone. Bread, butter, honey, jam, coffee, and milk are all provided. It's obviously not the breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon only available from 8 a.m. on weekends, but it has the merit of being comprehensive.

28/08/2026: Really disappointed! I had a reservation for a Friday lunch and called to confirm it three days earlier. I arrived at the restaurant to find the door closed. No one had called to let me know they couldn't accommodate us, which we would have understood if they only had two customers to serve. Clearly, their customer service needs improvement...
