We just spent two nights in their brand new and absolutely gorgeous guest rooms and we were delighted! 😍 The welcome was incredibly warm, the room was magnificent, the bedding was superb, and the breakfast lived up to the establishment's reputation 😋😋😋 The food is as delicious and generous as ever, with a special mention for the Savagnin fondue, served in a loaf of bread!! 👌👌 The entire team is outstanding. Add to that the owner's friendliness, and you're guaranteed an exceptional stay in a beautiful, peaceful, and unspoiled setting! I highly recommend it!

Every dish is beautifully presented. The portions are perfectly judged—generous enough to satisfy, yet never overwhelming. The starters are exceptional: delicate beef in aspic, smoked veal carpaccio, and a fascinating blend of herbs, spices, and garnishes that create layers of memorable flavors. The main courses are a true celebration of meat. Whether you choose the veal, the leg of lamb, or the famous local chicken, each dish demonstrates remarkable respect for the quality and texture of the ingredients. The meat is so incredibly tender that a knife is almost unnecessary. The chicken, served with an extraordinary sauce and fresh bread to soak up every last drop, may sound simple on paper—but its depth of flavor reveals the magic that only truly gifted chefs can create. The desserts are equally impressive, no matter which one you choose. The excellent selection of French cheeses and a thoughtfully curated wine list complete the experience perfectly. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. While friendly service is almost expected in France’s finest restaurants, here the team feels like a family. 02/08/2026: Despite the language barrier, everything worked out perfectly. We were passing through and around 3:00 PM were looking for a restaurant that was still open. Even though the kitchen was almost closed, they offered us carpaccio and crème brûlée. They were incredibly patient with us, and it was absolutely delicious.

08/07/2026: A magnificent spot, especially for summer evenings. The view over the Bresse plain and the Beaujolais region opposite is breathtaking, with the added bonus of a stunning sunset. The cuisine is homemade and seasonal, with a limited menu, which clearly demonstrates that everything is prepared on-site from scratch. The building, a former school, has been tastefully renovated and retains the old-fashioned charm of the schools of our childhood. In short, nestled under the fairy lights and plane trees, this is an address not to be missed!
