01/08/2024: In French, this place should be called an “attrape touriste” also known as a tourist trap. Finding a place where food is not tasty in Nice is challenging, but if you are looking for truly disappointing, oily and tasteless food, search no more! More often than not, I wonder how some of these places manage to get such glowing reviews while the food is just not good!

27/07/2024: Vi havde ikke booket bord, så vi måtte vente en lille time, hvor vi fik en drink hos naboen, indtil vores opmærksomme og arbejdsomme tjener (Jean?) vinkede os over til vores bord. L’Escalinada slår sig blandt andet op på ravioli, gnocci og Merda de Can. Sidstnævnte kendte vi ikke ,så det måtte googles (gør det selv, da det lyder vulgært, og derfor ikke må skrives her!. At det også var panerede fåretesti)kler) på menuen gjorde valget nemt! Vi blev på ingen måde skuffet - især ikke da vi kombinerede de to retter. Begge retter var meget velsmagende til den tunge side - lige noget for brødrene Price (som alle danskere kender for ikke at spare på hverken smør eller fløde). Denne perle af en restaurant har også mange andre lækre, lokale retter, men ofte kan det betale sig, at prøve det “skæve” på menukortet.

04/08/2024: Accueil vraiment très gentil, au petit soin, steack Angus excellent, emplacement magnifique on mange en s en mettant plein les mirettes. Accessible par télésiège donc bien pour les gens qui ne peuvent pas randonner. Franchement au top et adorables. Ps: la tarte aux myrtilles maison une tuerie

20/07/2024: Endroit très calme, magnifique spot, et super bien reçu !!! Steak haché Angus délicieux, tartine d'été excellente !!! Merci beaucoup !!!

12/09/2024: Lunch yesterday Wednesday September 11. A treat like this croque monsieur with truffles, and for my granddaughter homemade hamburger, perfectly cooked fries. The staff are lovely.

19/09/2024: Nous cherchions un restaurant sur notre route et sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant en retrait de la route . Bonne surprise : excellent accueil et arrière terrasse très agréable . Des plats simples mais goûteux . Les scampis au pastis : excellents. Gâteaux maison et café plus que gourmand . Bonne adresse !

27/01/2026: Wonderful time....last September we arrived here....the hostess was so charming...we just had drinks....but her kindness will make sure we visit this lovely place again.

04/09/2024: At first glance the place looked good from afar. But it was really far away... I decided to eat there one lunchtime. Lots of people but let's say that's normal for the time being and above all that there is nothing else around except Lidl. Quite expensive prices anyway: €10 for a daisy pizza or €13 for 4 cheeses! I take the student formula with pizza (queen or daisy) fries and drink for €6 and my husband a sandwich with drink for €10. Fairly fast service but disappointed. Already I'm getting a queen instead of the Margerite even though I don't like mushrooms and ham so it's a waste and the fries are very greasy and overcooked... the sandwich costs €8 all the same! Also too greasy. So really disappointed €16 in the wind. Go eat a pizza at Lidl with a drink, it will be cheaper (€4) and more delicious. Kind staff and fast service but the rest is totally to be reviewed.
