04/01/2026: Fast service with staff who were attentive, discreet, and responsive. Regarding the quality of the meal, there wasn't a single flaw: we ordered the Cours du Théâtre salad and the foie gras mille-feuille, linguine with bottarga, and monkfish medallions. The appetizers and main courses were generous, and the cooking was perfectly executed. The dishes were refined, flawlessly prepared, and beautifully presented. We were blown away by the dessert: a clementine and yuzu entremet on a Breton shortbread base—excellent! Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: I've been to this restaurant five times before and I usually appreciate it for the quality of the meat and the service. Unfortunately, this past Saturday I was disappointed. The service was rather mediocre, the wait for the main course was very long, the ribeye steak wasn't up to par, and the person in charge of the brazier in the center of the restaurant was very nervous around the customers. Furthermore, the presence of children near the brazier was inappropriate. This is just my personal opinion.

27/09/2024: Authentic and well-managed place, with quality food and a splendid view of the Notre-Dame de la Garde cathedral. Recommended by our B&B, we showed up at 9pm without a reservation, during our first evening in Marseille. Despite the time, they welcomed us with an outdoor table, clean tablecloths, fresh flowers and dishes that embody true local tradition. The bouillabaisse is absolutely unmissable. The friendly and attentive staff guided us in tasting the dishes, making the experience even more authentic. The glass of white wine was also excellent, which completed the meal perfectly. You never have the impression of being in a place for tourists: the atmosphere is genuinely local and the prices are honest. Every corner of the restaurant is carefully curated, enriched with artistic details and curious objects that tell the story of the passion of those who manage it. I would only suggest taking better care of the plating of the main courses because they don't look good in the photo..

01/01/2026: The room was very clean and the hotel is very well located, with a superb view overlooking the sea. Dominique gave me a wonderful welcome; she was friendly, funny, and dedicated. I will definitely return and highly recommend it! I was very happy with my stay.

12/12/2025: My favorite restaurant in Aix. The food is delicious, the presentation is refined, and above all, the service is top-notch—a rare and precious find. We always receive a very warm welcome at La Mado. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion: brunch, lunch with friends, or a romantic dinner—you're sure to have a wonderful time!

08/07/2025: Very disappointing. Mediocre service with a rude waitress who barely spoke to us. The food was pretty good, but the value for money was poor. The only positive aspect was the consideration given to someone with dietary restrictions.

19/06/2025: A small restaurant in a tiny courtyard guarded by an old fig tree. A pleasant, unpretentious atmosphere. You don't notice the hustle and bustle of the street. At lunch, there were only two dishes to choose from per course (starter, main course, dessert). The dishes are original and creative, and good to very good, but not (yet?) Michelin-star worthy. However, you'll definitely be full. Three menus and two glasses of wine cost around 100 euros. The restaurant isn't particularly suitable for small children, but it's highly recommended for a refined break from sightseeing. The starter of baked eggplant and olive oil mayonnaise was very delicately seasoned, while the main course of rice was a bit dry. The service was a bit cool, but the owner was very friendly. I would go again.

20/10/2025: We were here as a couple in love in 2007 and returned as a family in October 2025! In the meantime, the chef has voluntarily given up his two stars, doesn't read social media reviews, and now cooks purely out of passion for his guests. A great attitude! We let Monsieur Rabanel decide what we should eat. It was totally exciting and we enjoyed it immensely. We had several courses for 95 euros. Among other dishes, there was fish, mussels with vegetables and chorizo ​​(we've never experienced such a combination before), vegetarian dishes with a combination of mushrooms and scallops on fennel wood, Camargue bull fillet (Taurreau), and finally, Pavlova with pear. We had an excellent meal, the staff was friendly, and the wine selection was good, even served by the glass. Oh well, maybe the chef will read our review after all... he so deserves it. 18/01/2026: Very negative review. We came for a drink one evening, and the noise level gradually increased throughout the night until we couldn't hear ourselves speak (even shouting), even though we were far from the dance floor. Five days later, my ears still hurt! I've never experienced anything like it, not even at a concert! The legal noise levels were clearly not respected at a simple evening event where music was being played. What's the point of damaging customers' hearing? There's clearly no 90 dB limiter (which I know well because I do the sound for a community bar). So, it's a real shame in what is otherwise a nice place. I regret coming!

08/07/2025: Daily bread???? At that price, I'd be surprised, unless your name is Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos!! 1 espresso and a pain au chocolat: €6.10!! Crazy, even for Aix-en-Provence.

07/07/2025: Very expensive for what it is. Two 25cl beers for €6.50 each, and two ham and Comté sandwiches for €15 each, which consist of four half-slices of bread, three centimeter-long pieces of Comté cheese, and four small slices of ham (and one cherry tomato per plate). We arrived here by chance and we won't be back, that's for sure. We feel like we've been taken for fools—luxury ones, certainly, but fools nonetheless.

04/09/2024: It was my Grandfather's preferred restaurant. He used to organise dinners with his colleagues 40 years ago. My Mum told me. I liked everything in this place. There is a kind of magic in this old house (built more than a century).

04/01/2026: Quick service. Good crepes and waffles. 4 stars because there's no need to put sugar on Nutella or a sugar crepe.
