27/09/2024: Authentic and well-managed place, with quality food and a splendid view of the Notre-Dame de la Garde cathedral. Recommended by our B&B, we showed up at 9pm without a reservation, during our first evening in Marseille. Despite the time, they welcomed us with an outdoor table, clean tablecloths, fresh flowers and dishes that embody true local tradition. The bouillabaisse is absolutely unmissable. The friendly and attentive staff guided us in tasting the dishes, making the experience even more authentic. The glass of white wine was also excellent, which completed the meal perfectly. You never have the impression of being in a place for tourists: the atmosphere is genuinely local and the prices are honest. Every corner of the restaurant is carefully curated, enriched with artistic details and curious objects that tell the story of the passion of those who manage it. I would only suggest taking better care of the plating of the main courses because they don't look good in the photo..

23/09/2024: A must-visit whenever I'm in Marseille. It's hard to resist the traditional dish, Bouillabaisse.

01/07/2025: The olive oil square is nice, close to the old port; the tables are spaced apart. The food is very good, with rather average portions. (For example, the bottarga pasta: you'll get 5-6 slices of bottarga.) On the other hand, the service is too commercial. They treat you like an American tourist. "Try my good extra virgin olive oil" #Spanish oil, nothing more, "€10 a bottle," and at the end of the meal, "How many bottles are you buying?" "As for the bill, it's fine, let's keep it simple, round up €442, and you get €450." In short, the food is good, but the attitude is poor, which is a shame and leaves you feeling heavy ;-)

22/06/2025: On this Place aux Huiles, we find many well-known food haunts, but the real gem is here with Mediterranean specialties. Paule is in the kitchen, Kopa is at the service. We are welcomed with grilled toast with black olive tapenade. The menu gives us a taste of the local side, the sea, and a slice of Italy. I'm thinking in particular of the essential half-and-half Marseille pizza that is served to you as you go. One part is with Emmental cheese, the other with anchovies on a tomato sauce base.

27/10/2024: I had the opportunity to have lunch at La Table de Nicolas yesterday by chance. A very pretty and pleasant place, tastefully decorated. Warm service, very friendly staff. The products were of good quality, excellent presentation of the dishes and good control of flavors. Reasonable prices and fast service. I highly recommend this restaurant!

06/06/2025: I'm really not used to writing Google reviews, but this morning I was deeply shocked by the waiter's attitude towards me. I didn't understand the price of what I had ordered, because as written in black and white on the menu the price of the set menu which according to him wasn't a set menu, wasn't the right one. Faced with my astonishment the simplest thing was to blame it on my lack of understanding and "the inability to talk to me because I was in my own thing". No communication, I tried to understand, but he didn't seem to want to understand the dissatisfaction of his customers so he left. It's not the price difference that bothers me the most, but the way I was treated, like an idiot who doesn't understand anything.

25/09/2024: We came Saturday evening for my bachelorette party. An evening of divine fire thanks to a great team!! Very good dinner, super adorable and funny servers! Marine, David, Enzo and Valentin WE WILL NOT FORGET YOU ❤️ and we hope to come back soon!!

25/09/2024: Very poor food for the price. Lumpy mash, completely raw tuna served with a bottled sweet chilli sauce and bland ratatouille. The server happily returned the fish to the kitchen when requested and there was no problem with getting it cooked to medium rare. However, there is no finesse whatsoever to the food. My husband's meal was equally as bad. There are very favourable professional reviews of this restaurant floating around online hence booking a table here however it is not what it once may have been in the past anymore. Disappointing meal.

11/11/2025: It was 3:30 pm, we hadn't eaten yet, and we were despairing of finding an open restaurant. The owner of Îlot Pizza greeted us with a big smile, and we were able to eat together by the water. The price-quality ratio was very good (55 euros for two people, including two drinks and two main courses) compared to other restaurants on the island that inflate their prices and where the service leaves much to be desired. I recommend this place if you're visiting Frioul Island.

08/10/2025: My partner and I had a wonderful time here. The welcome, the smiling and very friendly waitress, with a touch of humor, is all part of the art of service (and yes, when the aperitif glasses are cleared away when they're empty, for example) 👍. The food... Mmm 🤤, the linguine is very good, the duck breast is super good! Hey! Another knife, please 😉. The menu, a small menu means quality dishes. As for breakfast the next day, we were just as spoiled. Crepes, spreadable bread, coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice! Delicious. A big thank you to the whole team; it helped my guest and I have a great weekend 👍😜💕💪

22/09/2024: Second time diner, two years apart. This restaurant is a seriously great option for dining in Saint-Rey-de-Provence, especially if looking for a dining venue on a Sunday night. Superb menu, very fresh ingredients. Nice wine list. Will return and hopefully before two years are up. Also, DOG FRIENDLY!!!

10/09/2024: Diner met 2, gezellige ontvangst, aangename bediening, zeer lekkere visschotel gegeten, het enige negatieve dat we konden zeggen is dat ze ons een grosse crevette aanboden bij de apero die naderhand 27 euro had gekost..
