Le Couscoussier
Vauvenargues
10/03/2026: Located in the heart of the charming village of Vauvenargues, on a pedestrian street. If you're lucky enough to have good weather, eat outside. The welcome is very simple, cordial, and friendly. It's one of the best and most generous couscous dishes we've had in a long time. Lamb, chicken, and meatballs, broth with plenty of vegetables, excellent semolina, all served piping hot. Wine is served by the glass upon request. Impeccable service despite a last-minute staffing issue. Compliments to our waitress. The prices are quite reasonable. We will be back soon with friends. I highly recommend it.
01/03/2026: The welcome wasn't very friendly, and there was a long wait for very mediocre food.

Lou Chambri
Marseille-16E, Marseille
17/01/2026: We booked this restaurant through The Fork for 10 people with a 30% discount, which was significant for our group and partly influenced our choice. Unfortunately, the discount couldn't be applied and the reservation wasn't registered. Apparently, the establishment no longer uses the site but can't seem to remove itself from it, even though I received a confirmation... So, don't book with The Fork!
Luckily, there was room for 10 at lunchtime.
Otherwise, the food was quite good, and the chocolate fondants were excellent, by the way.
02/01/2026: A very good restaurant for eating with family or friends.

La Mama Sita
Saintes-Maries-De-La-Mer
10/01/2026: The menus are excellent, I've been coming back to them for years and I'm always very happy with them, I confirm once again that I'm happy with them.
11/11/2025: We ate at Mama Sita.
We had a wonderful evening. The portions were very generous.
The gizzard appetizer was delicious.
The Fisherman's Stew was excellent, filled with prawns, sea bream fillet, mussels, potatoes, and served with croutons and a delicious rouille sauce.
Homemade desserts were also available.
We loved it and highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Thank you so much, and see you soon!

Bar des Arènes
Arles
10/09/2025: We came unexpectedly and there's nothing to say. Friendly team, quality service and very fast, I highly recommend. Quality cuisine, special mention for the fish of the day that a young waiter recommended to me. To do again if I'm in the area again
27/08/2025: We came to check the menu, we didn't ask anyone anything, a waiter approached us and asked: do they speak French or English here? What is this social case approach, honestly? So we left.

10/03/2026: A very creative set menu at a very reasonable price for a starter, main course, and dessert. €20

La Guinguette du Patio de Camargue
Arles
06/12/2025: People mainly go to Chico and the Gypses for the show, the party, and the atmosphere!
It's a 20/20! 😉
16/08/2025: A dinner... memorable, but not for the right reasons...
If you dream of an evening where you're ignored upon arrival, where the music is slow (the musicians took more breaks than the music), and where the mosquitoes are the only ones really having a good time... then Gypsie Beach is for you!
We arrived without a welcome—apparently, autonomy is in vogue. Once seated, we waited for the music, which finally started around 8:40 p.m., before the musicians regularly disappeared for long breaks. A live atmosphere, yes... but in homeopathic doses.
As for the food, it was a bit of a lottery. The fish was frankly good—a real ray of sunshine. As for the rest, let's just say that the vacuum-packed supermarket salad needs no introduction, and the paella could have done with a little something... like flavor. The restrooms, meanwhile, offer an immersive experience in the world of minimalism: no soap, no towels, nothing. Fingers crossed that the hygiene in the kitchen is more inspired.
And to top it all off, no measures against mosquitoes. You'd think they were the establishment's only loyal customers.
In short: a beautiful place, but one that seems to focus mainly on the decor while forgetting everything else. Too bad!
I hope this comment might be an eye-opener for the establishment's manager! And for those who read the reviews when they're hesitant about spending their evening there (mosquito-wise, it might be better to have lunch there than dinner).
Really a shame, we had chosen this place to spend our last evening of vacation...

Flunch
Aubagne
01/03/2026: Hello,
honestly, I'm not usually like this, but this time… The app is down! In 2026, the FLINCH app is down during rush hour!! Under maintenance 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️.
I came as a family for Grandparents' Day, and we found a serious lack of quality: the carbonara pasta was swimming in water instead of cream sauce, and the starter (pasta) was even worse—it was inedible flour. Disappointing, and I won't be back. Some Flunch restaurants have closed, no wonder. I spent a whopping €72.55.
27/02/2026: The waiter told me dogs weren't allowed inside, okay. I just replied that they should post a sign outside the restaurant. He told me he didn't have to because dogs weren't allowed in ALL restaurants, which is completely false. Dogs are allowed at the grill restaurant right next door.

Boulangerie Ange Marseille Capelette
Marseille-10E, Marseille
30/06/2025: Thank you Roxanne for the welcome and the explanation of the ingredients in the pastries despite my numerous questions she knew how to listen. Top notch, more salespeople like her.
23/06/2025: Saleswoman who hardly wants to work if you say hello, no professionalism from all the salespeople of most of the stores, they don't know how to contact customers, I shouted goodbye 3 times without anyone answering me or showing me any intention, I don't see why I would spend my money in a shitty bakery... in addition you kill the real artisan bakers and pastry chefs with your frozen foods... to flee and avoid this kind of store...

Le Carre
Marseille-8E, Marseille
07/03/2026: Friendly place, amazing service, the young man, Mr. Antho, gave us a warm welcome.
28/12/2025: I don't usually leave reviews, but if I could give this a zero, I would. Disappointing place, disgusting menu, appalling service, unsmokable shisha, and the clientele leaves much to be desired for a restaurant in the 8th arrondissement. A disappointment, a place to avoid.

L'Esquinade
Marseille-1Er, Marseille
18/03/2026: Disgusting, avoid at all costs.
My plate smelled rotten. I asked for it to be replaced, and they tried to charge me for two plates.
Terrible atmosphere, fish not fresh, avoid at all costs. Not to mention the manager yelling at her employees. It was shameful.
28/01/2026: Starter: Fish soup – not great.
Main course: Cod steak – tasteless, dry, rubbery – very mediocre.
Dessert: Chocolate fondant – good taste but not homemade.
