30/09/2026: Pretty empty, asked to eat dessert as we'd had mains elsewhere. Directed to a table near the bar that hadn't been laid, and was in a muggy corner near a barman vigorously bleaching bar equipment. I asked if we could sit on one of the ample vacant tables in the covered area outside, and were told we couldn't as we weren't eating mains. Bit of an attitude from the owner behind the bar. Promptly left.

22/09/2026: Excellent tasting menu, from appetizer to dessert, and very friendly service, I highly recommend it.

16/08/2026: Disgusting welcome, they were rude to me all because the waiter misunderstood... truly unacceptable. The coffee was so-so... The policy is infallible. Once in a while, but never again.

05/08/2026: An extremely shocking experience. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold and aggressive. After ordering two drinks, I simply asked for a plastic cup with ice. Instead of a polite response, I was curtly told, in a particularly unpleasant tone, that "orders are taken at the bar." When I asked to be spoken to with a modicum of respect, the situation deteriorated. The staff became increasingly aggressive, and then the manager intervened in an intimidating manner, speaking to us very harshly and pressuring us to order more, clearly implying that otherwise, we had no business being there. The most shocking moment was when the manager referred to our group as "those people," even though we were wearing religious symbols. We experienced this remark as a particularly hurtful and stigmatizing allusion. We felt humiliated and deeply uncomfortable. We have never been treated with such disrespect in a restaurant. Between the aggression, the inappropriate remarks, and the intimidating attitude of the staff, this experience was unacceptable. We will never return. Avoid at all costs.

27/09/2026: The waiter was lovely! I'll start with that because it's the reason I'm giving the restaurant 2 stars overall. Clearly, they're using low-quality ingredients; you can taste the cheap cream, which is a real shame. The sauce for the mussels and the galette pasta was really not great. However, I'm giving the homemade fries an extra star for that.

13/09/2026: The food was very good; we really enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled by unpleasant service and a rather cold welcome. It's a shame, because with warmer service, the experience would have been perfect.

22/08/2026: Avoid at all costs. This place unfortunately gives the impression of having forgotten the most important thing: the customer. High prices, a frosty welcome, a deafening "boom-boom" atmosphere when all you want to do is enjoy a glass of wine and some tapas, and frankly, the value for money is outrageous. The atmosphere is so peculiar that you almost wonder if you've stumbled into a bar in Honfleur or a discount version of The Addams Family. A very bad image for a town like Honfleur. Tourists and locals alike: steer clear.

18/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our visit this evening. We ordered two cocktails, which were disappointing, and a sharing platter, which was expensive for what it was. The person who served us seemed completely unfamiliar with the wine list and lost with the till. And to top it all off, she spilled sauce on my shorts. Okay, maybe she didn't see it on me, but she still picked it up off the floor, so she was aware of the incident. It happens, but still! When we went to the till, we mentioned it to her, and for €55 for two people (two drinks and a mediocre platter), she had the nerve to charge us full price for everything, acting as if nothing had happened. I don't usually leave reviews, but this...

03/10/2026: The staff does what they can, but one waiter was a bit pushy and unfriendly, they forgot the sauces despite several requests, the service was slow even though there weren't many customers, the butcher's cut was cut in half and therefore small, the frozen fries were even worse than McDonald's, and the amount of water with syrup was ridiculously small. I don't recommend it, which is a shame because the view is lovely.

28/09/2026: Parfait! Great place to sit and watch people go by on the quay. Lovely food and friendly service which didn't feel rushed even though they were busy. Très bon!

02/09/2026: A restaurant set back a little from Place du Général de Gaulle, with a charming shaded terrace and beds of exotic plants. "Le Channel" has been recommended by the "Petit Futé" guide for several years. The menu is very varied: seafood, set menus, crêpes and galettes, traditional cuisine, à la carte options, and set menus at very reasonable prices. Everything is delicious. Here, you can take your time, far from the hustle and bustle of the ferry. The restaurant is family-run, managed by the father, mother, and daughter. The owner is happy to tell you the restaurant's history; he's a true enthusiast!

22/09/2026: I wish to report an unacceptable incident that occurred on Saturday, September 11, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM, at the Flunch restaurant in Caen Mondeville. As an honest customer who pays for my meal, I was deeply shocked by the complete lack of security and oversight in the establishment that evening. A group of about fifteen individuals carried out a blatant case of organized fraud: Modus operandi: Two young men (17-18 years old, wearing light jeans and black t-shirts) brought numerous members of their group directly into the buffet area through the exit door. Continuous food theft: Without ever paying at the register, they sat down and helped themselves repeatedly (plates of fries, overflowing rice, unlimited chicken tenders). They also took out dishes and food to feed at least seven of their accomplices seated on the terrace. They came and went from the restaurant with impunity. Major incidents: At one point, they actually grabbed two Flunch birthday cakes by entering through the exit. They then left with the establishment's rectangular white plates filled with food, never returning them. Logistics: The group traveled in three vehicles parked in the parking lot (a black Mercedes and two BMWs). Faced with this pack mentality, the customers didn't dare say anything. The staff on site, although very friendly and courageous, were completely overwhelmed and unable to react, allowing this massive fraud to unfold without any intervention. This situation is deeply unfair and disrespectful to paying customers. I hope management will review the security camera footage from that evening to identify the perpetrators. It is urgent to implement strict security measures to permanently block these fraudulent accesses through the buffet exit.

26/09/2026: Terrace with a pleasant sea view and decent service, though friendliness varied depending on the staff member; perhaps there were a few tense moments? The oysters were good, served with shallots and lemon. The shrimp were nice and plump. The fries were quite good; no sauce was offered, but we asked for some! As for the mussels, they were a bit pale in color, and many remained closed. Some had a slightly questionable texture, but overall the quality was okay, nothing special. For €19, using Isigny cream would be appreciated. The carpaccio is served with pesto and Parmesan shavings. However, a piece of chicken fell on mine, I think by mistake, which isn't very reassuring regarding potential cross-contamination. 🤷‍♀️ A classic seaside restaurant; we had a pleasant time.

26/09/2026: The mussels marinière were truly mediocre, the savory buckwheat crepe was dry and loaded with too much cheese to mask its poor quality. The only positive point was the waiter's refusal to take our dessert order from the start. Given our disappointment with the main courses, this allowed us to pay and leave without having ordered any.
