18/08/2026: We stopped in Matha. My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. And frankly, we weren't disappointed! A very warm welcome, simple and delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

The welcome was warm, the dishes were delicious (homemade, which is rare these days), generous portions, and prepared with high-quality ingredients. Everyone loved it! 01/09/2026: A very bad experience. The welcome (apparently from the manager) was extremely unfriendly (a first for me in any restaurant). The food was disastrous (the dishes weren't even finished, which speaks volumes about the lack of quality): in particular, the vegetables were a tasteless, mixed salad, and the meat and fish were cooked poorly. Out of all my numerous restaurant reviews, this is the first time I've given such a low rating, which is a shame (there's a first time for everything).

21/06/2026: We ate at this small restaurant, which had a beautiful and tastefully decorated interior. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. We ordered the €38 set menu per person (starter, main course, cheese, dessert). The cuisine was refined, and we were particularly impressed by the sausage terrine. The flavor was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The only slight drawback was that the dishes were a little lukewarm. We recommend stopping by for a meal when you're in La Rochelle.

20/06/2026: We came for lunch today and had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, we mentioned that I was gluten-free. The set menu (starter, main course, dessert) was adapted to my dietary restrictions at no extra charge, and always with a smile, which was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. The dishes were excellent, the service was quick and attentive, and the entire team was very friendly and welcoming. A truly great place with excellent value for money.

03/07/2026: Excellent food, very friendly service, and a calm atmosphere. A must-try if you're in the area. Please note, however, that reservations are required and the restaurant closes permanently at the end of August/beginning of September.

02/07/2026: A pleasant and peaceful place. The team is top-notch and very professional. Excellent in both service and cuisine. The wine list features regional wines that complement the dishes. The selection of digestifs is very varied and of excellent quality (always locally sourced). The menu is seasonal and features fresh, homemade products. This is a must-visit for all food lovers, whether local or passing through. A great time is guaranteed; I highly recommend experiencing it.

25/07/2026: The waitresses were really unpleasant. We felt like we were bothering them. We waited a long time for our food and other items. We had to ask several times. I don't recommend it.

17/07/2026: A wonderful discovery! A warm welcome, generous portions, and perfectly cooked rib-eye steaks. I highly recommend the homemade gazpacho—it's amazing. The chef even comes to the dining room to chat with the customers. It was so good that we'll be back tomorrow.

03/09/2026: I ate there yesterday at lunchtime with my wife. The service was fantastic! A very good selection of dishes, set menus, and buffet options... Everything is excellently cooked and beautifully presented. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

27/06/2026: The staff were very friendly and the terrace was lovely. The food was good. One small detail, unrelated to the food or the ambiance, but which could be bothersome: Please be mindful of the smoking tables. We had three smokers who went through a pack of cigarettes between them in an hour, and even though there was ventilation, it was unpleasant. They seemed to be friends with one of the waiters, judging by their conversation and the way they were served. It would have been easy to seat them around the perimeter of the terrace instead of in the center.
