16/07/2026: Passing through the area, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while charging our car at the charging station. Everything was delicious. The cuttlefish and chorizo ​​combination for the starter was particularly well done. The service was warm and friendly. We highly recommend it.

08/09/2026: Having first visited in June at the end of our road trip, we're back in the area, this time in St. Palais. So, we didn't hesitate to cycle here this Saturday, September 12th, to enjoy these delicious wood-fired pizzas. The crust is thin, just the way we like it, the ingredients are high quality, and the pizzas are cooked to perfection. So, kudos to the pizza maker! And even as the season draws to a close, the owner remains as friendly as ever. Thank you again for this delicious break, and best wishes to your team for the end of the season! We highly recommend this place and will definitely return on our next trip to your region.

06/08/2026: Bar Tabac is well located, with a pleasant atmosphere including a terrace, pool table, and more. The staff is friendly and offers a wide range of services, which is very rare in rural areas! The opening hours are ideal, especially if you need to go on a Sunday, for example. Many other establishments should take note. 👏👏

26/07/2026: After a long delay to access the Ile de Ré due to traffic we stopped at the first place we saw for lunch. Sometimes when things aren’t planned, a nice surprise turns out. This is one of these cases where an unplanned stop brought us a lovely lunch by the sea. The food was delicious throughout and the service was friendly. A bit on the pricey side but reasonable for what you’d expect on the island. I’d go back for sure.

23/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, I highly recommend it! My partner, our 3-year-old daughter, and I ate there. The service was impeccable, with a very nice touch for the children, like using a cup instead of a glass. The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are delicious! The cod fritters are to die for! The welcome is perfect, with a very friendly and attentive owner! We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again! Reservations are highly recommended.

26/07/2026: Excellent bar and brasserie. For my part, the ribeye steak served with cheese sauce, fries, and salad was of exceptional quality, cooked perfectly, and the meat was superb. The service was impeccable, and the owner is an extraordinary person who takes great care of his customers. Even my children were very happy with our evening. The cocktails are fantastic; I recommend the Madeleine cocktail (Cointreau, Amareteau, pineapple) – truly excellent. I highly recommend this place. Excellent value for money. The terrace is lovely, away from the crowds, and the service was very friendly (especially the ladies)! Truly amazing!!
