10/03/2026: What a great find this restaurant in Taillebourg is! Several indoor and outdoor areas are available for various gatherings: solo or couples, groups, karaoke nights... Very attractive prices and even a loyalty card! Excellent service and charming smiles. Easy and ample parking, accommodating groups of motorcyclists.

03/03/2026: Hello, a little discovery today in Taillebourg! I stopped at this warm and welcoming place with a friendly and dedicated owner and staff. There was an unlimited selection of appetizers, a diverse and varied menu featuring fresh, homemade products (nothing like the previous review; I think that person clearly never set foot in this restaurant). Next came the main course, also homemade, which was very well cooked, with excellent quality and quantity, a rare find these days. We finished this relaxing moment with a superb dessert... In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment; a discovery to be enjoyed without hesitation!

18/02/2026: Overall, the staff was lovely, but many details could be improved. Upon arrival (mid-afternoon), we checked in at reception and were greeted warmly. Someone was vacuuming at the same time, almost right next to us, making it difficult to hear the staff over the noise. Perhaps the least they could do is turn off the vacuum cleaner during the five-minute check-in process. There was a strong, unpleasant odor in the room every time we used the sink. The magnifying mirror wasn't fixed in place (it wouldn't stay put), making it difficult to use. We arrived for breakfast at 9:45. The room was practically empty, with only three tables occupied. We were seated furthest from the buffet and, more importantly, closest to the kitchens (noise from machines, washing dishes, and staff conversations). We asked the reception staff for recommendations on where to eat in town, but they had no knowledge of the city. They confided that even though they had been working there for a year and a half, they didn't know the streets or the area. We were looking for a seafood restaurant, and we discovered Christopher Coutanceau's famous restaurant less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel. We won't be returning to the Novotel in La Rochelle.

15/10/2025: Horrid and disrespectful waitress. Her behavior toward her colleague is shameful. Speaking to her like this in front of customers is blatantly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the restaurant. It's a shame, because the prices are reasonable and the food is good, but such an attitude completely ruins the experience.

28/01/2026: The store is very pleasant, well laid out, clean, and well-stocked... however, there's a major problem with the selection and availability of dairy products. On several visits, I found products either unavailable or nearing their expiration date. I was very disappointed with this section... as well as the fish counter, which was very poorly stocked.

24/01/2026: Lower the prices even further! Disabled parking spaces are being illegally used by unauthorized individuals.

19/02/2026: A group of four people, just for a drink in the early afternoon. The welcome was appalling: no hello, no thank you, no please. The card payment terminal was broken, not a word of apology, not a smile, not a goodbye. No desire to ever set foot in there again.

03/01/2026: A very pleasant experience, a warm and polite welcome despite the large group. Simple but delicious food, and absolutely divine desserts! The crumble was heavenly… kudos to the pastry chef.

18/03/2026: My friends and I are in La Rochelle for Erasmus. We love the food here but everytime we have been to this restaurant we have experienced a very rude service. As a group of young women who don’t speak French, we believe we wouldn’t have been treated this way as we noticed the manager was being very kind to all other tables. Last time we went we left without getting food because we felt they didn’t deserve our service

15/03/2026: After placing our order, we learned 30 minutes later that it had been forgotten. We then had to wait another 20 minutes to be served by an unpleasant and dismissive waiter.
