01/09/2025: A Very Positive Review of Le Repère in Dax A place I 100% recommend! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with incredible warmth and friendliness. The owner is great, always smiling and attentive, and the customers who frequent the place create a truly friendly atmosphere. The menus are excellent (indeed, very, very, very excellent 😍) with excellent value for money. You feel good there, you eat very well, and above all, you have a wonderful time. Whether it's for a meal, a drink, or an evening with friends, the atmosphere is fantastic, relaxed, and friendly. A real place to discover and share! 👌 I highly recommend Le Repère in Dax to anyone looking for a good time around good food and a warm atmosphere.

28/11/2025: The reception's opening hours were ludicrous, and the staircase was incredibly steep and narrow, leading to an intermediate door where you had to call to get to the reception desk further up. The receptionist was incredibly over-the-top; it was ridiculous to try and make you believe you were in a five-star hotel. Finally, after a narrow flight of stairs or two, you reached your room, which was fairly clean and nicely decorated. Out of habit, we glanced at the sheets, which looked a bit worn with a few stains, so we wondered about the mattress. And there it was... indescribably filthy, covered in numerous and varied stains whose nature I dare not even imagine. We were told that this was normal wear and tear on hotel mattresses. After heated discussions, we were offered another room, with the mattress in the same condition. Naturally, we didn't sleep on those piles of filth and cut our stay short. Of course, we couldn't get a refund because we had booked directly. A tip: ask for a photo of the mattresses before booking. LOL.

09/02/2026: Arriving on February 9th in a downpour and being greeted with a smile... Thank you. An excellent meal, a semi-cooked foie gras worthy of a gourmet restaurant, a sublime fish sauerkraut. A generous dessert; all for a very reasonable price. A place you can dine at without hesitation.

09/02/2026: We are four friends, aged 98, 92, 88, and 82, and we've finally become regulars! Highly recommended for the semi-cooked foie gras, a true delight. Excellent value for money. See you Sunday, no doubt! Yves Royan

29/01/2026: Hello! Just so you know, the Phare West restaurant changed ownership almost a year ago. Please disregard any subsequent reviews and trust your instincts. Also, regarding the comments about the servers, they were young students just starting out and had their first experience working with you. Thank you for your understanding. Top-notch restaurant, excellent value for money, and themed evenings from time to time!

31/12/2025: The welcome, food, and atmosphere were all very average. The waiter was almost rude and started badmouthing other customers as soon as they left.

01/11/2025: Disappointment. The flambéed prawns were undercooked, the peppers were raw, and the dish was bland. The "gourmet coffee" at €9.50 was really lacking in quality. Frankly, it's a shame, you have the location to do great things. The service was adequate. The price is very high considering the quality.

31/10/2025: This restaurant doesn't deserve its bad reputation at all. Good food, friendly service (thank you, Anthony!), and a prime location... what more could you ask for to have a great time? Many thanks to the team at L'Écailler, we'll be back next year!

23/12/2025: This is our second time eating at Les Alizés, and it's just as good as ever. We had lunch there today with our two daughters, aged 3 and 4 and a half, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The ingredients are high-quality, well-selected, seasonal, and locally sourced. The menu changes regularly, which is a real plus. Everything is 100% homemade, for both children and adults. A truly wonderful place in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, which we highly recommend. We'll be back! 👍

16/02/2026: The fish and chips were inedible. I told the waiters, who weren't surprised. I'm writing this review here to prevent others from experiencing the same disappointment. It's a real shame because the setting is nicely decorated and the waiters are attentive.

07/02/2026: It's been a long time since we've found a café-brasserie with such delicious, homemade food at a very reasonable price. The service and welcome were perfect! 100% recommended!

03/02/2026: Located in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne, opposite the church and 100 meters from the beach, it's a pleasant place where you'll receive a warm welcome. I recommend it.

29/11/2025: An incredible place, simple yet refined, a neighborhood bistro and an avant-garde establishment! A genuine and pleasant welcome, fresh and delicious cuisine, a blend of traditional recipes and a modern approach, original organic wines – in short, an address where you can spend an excellent moment relaxing and sharing!

28/10/2025: A very disappointing experience on a human level. I'm not questioning the quality of the coffee, but the attitude of the staff, particularly one woman present, was simply unacceptable. She started raising her voice and speaking very rudely because my dog ​​had simply sniffed a flowerpot on the terrace—without barking, making a mess, or disturbing anyone in any way. What's most incomprehensible is that there were no other customers present at the time. Nothing justified such a reaction. A simple word spoken calmly, with a modicum of politeness, would have been more than enough: we would have understood without any problem. Instead, the woman flew into a rage, forgetting all forms of respect and courtesy. It's a shame, because a business is also judged on the quality of its service and the human touch it demonstrates.

31/10/2025: The owner is unpleasant to customers. He treats them like idiots. Avoid at all costs. The ice cream is bad and expensive for what it is. I have to give it one star; it deserves zero. They claim we're mistaken about the establishment when we give them a bad rating. Not very professional.

24/10/2025: We ordered two cappuccinos at this restaurant. The waitress was friendly; we had no complaints. However, we received two Viennese coffees, with industrial whipped cream and sock juice, for the hefty sum of €5.50 (so if it's good, we think it's okay, but when it's undrinkable, it still hurts a little). So, before leaving, we politely explained to the manager that the drink we ordered wasn't the one we received. To which he replied, "Oh yes, they're cappuccinos. Here we make them like that, and if you're not happy, you should have asked how we make them." We had absolutely no intention of causing a fuss, but hey... the recipe for a cappuccino is the same everywhere, you shouldn't take people for idiots, so we told him. He told us to get rid of it, along with a slurred tone.

09/12/2025: Original colours. Good food, good service, reasonable price.

08/12/2025: We were told to choose a seat and that a menu would be brought to us. The menu never arrived, so we served ourselves, waited, and waited. We placed our order (two lattes and two crepes), and waited. The coffees arrived on their own. We waited. The coffee was too sweet and got cold. I asked about the crepes, and they said it was taking a while because they were busy, but they finally arrived a minute later. (Customers next to us had the same problem waiting between their hot drinks and crepes, and coincidentally, the crepes arrived right after a complaint). Anyway. I ordered a crepe with butter, and I received a crepe with sugar, even though I don't like sugar. I didn't finish the latte because it was bad. The waiter was rushed and not particularly welcoming; we seemed to be bothering him. What a shame.

06/10/2025: Really at the top by the sea and the best thing is the swimming pool.

10/10/2025: Not open even though on Google it says open until 3 p.m.

12/10/2025: No interest. Long service. Mediocre food.

07/10/2025: We had a great meal there; the produce was fresh and well-prepared! Very good service and a great atmosphere.
