10/01/2026: Very disappointed. We had booked half-board, but the restaurant was closed. There's nothing to eat nearby. Making coffee in the room is no longer possible; the tablet is tiny, and there's only one chair. There was noise at night from people running around the building. The hotel was practically deserted, but we had to go to reception ourselves to ask for toilet paper. The only positive point was the friendly staff.

03/01/2026: Unwelcoming restaurant, bad food, spoiled chocolate mousse covered on the floor, truly disgusting, don't go there (it's packed and there's no room, a real bar atmosphere).

06/12/2025: A well-located brasserie-style restaurant opposite La Rochelle's town hall. The service is very friendly and welcoming. The sausage with aligoté sauce and the filet mignon with mustard sauce are good and well-prepared. The tables upstairs are pleasant. The prices are extremely reasonable. No surprises, but a very enjoyable experience.

27/10/2025: I've known this crêperie for over 30 years, and the quality is always top-notch! The best place in the region to enjoy succulent savory and sweet crêpes with an excellent special cuvée Kerisac cider. Bravo to the owner, who provides the service, enhanced with a touch of humor, and to his wife, who cooks the delicious crêpes you order. A word of advice to those who love crêpes: you won't be disappointed.

03/03/2026: We had a wonderful weekend! One night at the hotel and two days at the spa. We found the value for money to be excellent! Access to the gym and thalassotherapy center from 9:00 am to 6:45 pm on both our arrival and departure days was a real bonus! We also booked the breakfast option (a buffet) for the morning. The choices were varied and delicious! We especially loved the brioche! In the evening, we also dined at the hotel restaurant and we weren't disappointed! The dishes were flavorful and well-balanced. We also wanted to highlight the exceptional kindness shown by all the staff we encountered during the weekend. Their courtesy and patience were much appreciated. We left the hotel feeling on cloud nine, happy and relaxed! Thank you so much!

01/03/2026: Review concerning ONLY the restaurant - Valentine's Day 2026: Huge disappointment at La Table de Grignon. I made a reservation by phone, specifically asking if I could have the Valentine's Day menu at 12:30 pm on February 14th. I was told yes, no problem. I traveled 50 km, in terrible weather and with a high fever, only to be told that this menu was only served in the evening, even though this wasn't mentioned on the online menu, which was sent to all customers, including myself. While this meal was supposed to be served that same evening, the chef made no effort whatsoever to satisfy us. The reception staff were informed immediately, but there was no reaction; just apologies. This is supposed to be a reward for loyalty, unlike the place where I had a thalassotherapy treatment followed by a weekend getaway. It would be good to have consistent communication among all employees.

11/10/2025: Experience of October 8, 2025, on the Beach at the Paillotte A young man and two young women serving in the "paillotte." Professionalism, attentiveness, and smiles are nonexistent. I ordered a Piña Colada, paid €9, but a few minutes later I was told they were out of coconut milk, so I had to choose something else; the only choice at the same price was a Mojito. I waited a good 5 minutes standing in front of "the bar" for my order. The result of the drink (because it wasn't a Mojito): Lots of ice cubes, mint leaves, brown sugar, and sparkling water, but the rum had probably evaporated by the time I sat down. It's a good thing there was a straw, as the hygiene around the rim of the glass was questionable. Certainly an idyllic location, but otherwise, avoid it; it's a shame.

28/02/2026: Awful service, awful food. Such a shame for a restaurant in a prime location. We waited over an hour for a salad and pizza. They bought us salt and pepper just when we finished our food which was funny. Don’t recommend this place at all!!!!!!

25/02/2026: It's not very complicated to get mussels when they're in season. I'm not asking for bouchot mussels. But these had no taste, no sauce, no parsley, no onion. Luckily, there was wine in my glass. Basically, the kind of pre-cooked meal you get in supermarkets. You can't be a respectful and financially viable restaurateur. But the weather's nice.

07/03/2026: Relaxation area experience. Spacious and pleasant, but during the aquagym sessions located next to the spa and sauna area, the music and shouts of the instructor are unbearable; the effects of well-being disappear. Please improve the organization.

07/03/2026: We've visited many times over the years, and the quality is always excellent! The birthday party entertainment was exceptional!!! Thank you to Hugo, a fantastic and highly competent swimming instructor! It was a relaxing afternoon for the parents, and the children were thrilled! Everything was perfect, right down to the cake!!! Thank you so much!

25/02/2026: We were very disappointed with this experience. The tagliatelle was overcooked, the seafood was frozen, the sardines were too dry, the crème brûlée was cold straight from the fridge...in short, nothing was good. Furthermore, the toilets in the men's restroom are very old and desperately need renovation. Apart from the sea view, there was nothing very pleasant about it. We do not recommend this establishment.

21/12/2025: Well, finding an open restaurant on Sunday, December 21st, in the south of Île d'Oléron, seems like a near-impossible feat. The café on the square is open, the welcome is warm, and the service is impeccable. A simple and pleasant moment. A hamburger and fries, a glass of Bordeaux, a coffee, and that's all it takes.

20/12/2025: Unfortunately, the restaurant is changing owners and by the time our review is published...it won't be the same food anymore... Good luck to those who are leaving, despite everything.

26/01/2025: Go elsewhere, there are many other bars in Saintes. The waiters are rude, don't want to serve you and let you know it. The cuisine, once again better elsewhere for less money and a warmer atmosphere. Go on your way.
